The Billionaire’s Blind Bride Chapter 180

Chapter 180 : Open Your Heart

Lu Yunyao didn’t want to cry, but when she heard her Mr. apologize, all the grievances in her heart burst forth like a dam breaking.

“Mr. am I really immature? I’m about to become a mother, and yet I’m still nitpicking about these things?”

She regretted saying those words as soon as they left her lips. After all, she would soon be a mother, how could she still act like a child seeking attention?

Seeing her red, swollen eyes and the flush on her nose, Fu Sichan felt a pang of guilt.

He gently pulled her into his embrace.

“Who says you have to be mature just because you’re going to be a mother? You can be mature in front of the child, but still be a little girl in front of me.”

“I spoil you, and you spoil the baby, isn’t that perfect?”

Lu Yunyao sniffled, her tear-filled almond eyes gazing up at him.

“Really? Mr. you don’t think I’m childish?”

Fu Sichan wiped the tears from her cheeks.

“How old are you? Being a little immature is completely normal.”

“Mr, were you immature when you were my age?”

Fu Sichan found himself at a loss for words. How could he explain that he, the great Fu Sichan, hadn’t been immature since he was ten years old? Not to mention, he had never cried over such trivial matters.

But seeing his wife upset, he knew he had to comfort her.

“Ahem, well, when I was your age, I used to beg to go abroad to ski and surf, and I broke my legs three or four times.”

Lu Yunyao widened her eyes in surprise, forgetting to cry.

“Mr. were you really… so into playing?”

“Yeah, I didn’t work in the family business, and my brother beat me up several times.”

Lu Yunyao looked at Fu Sichan as if she had discovered a new world.

But then, she suddenly thought of something.

“Mr. aren’t you the oldest child in your family? Where did your brother come from?”

“I… I meant a non-blood-related brother. Anyway, everyone has their childish moments, you don’t need to feel sad about it.”

Encouraged by his words, Lu Yunyao obediently nodded.

Fu Sichan felt a little relieved.

It seemed that Fu Qianxing had some use after all, sharing his “exciting stories” had finally stopped his wife from crying.

“Yaoyao, this is my first time being a husband and soon, my first time being a father.”

“So, if I do anything wrong, you need to tell me, okay?”

Fu Sichan spoke seriously, and Lu Yunyao felt as if a weight had lifted from her heart, melting into a puddle of warmth.

Her cheeks turned red, and she shyly replied, “Yeah, this is my first time being a wife and a mother. I also have my faults.”

Fu Sichan held her hand and kissed it gently.

“Then let’s improve together, shall we?”

Lu Yunyao smiled through her tears. “Okay.”

Fu Sichan sincerely apologized, reflecting on himself.

“I’ve been too focused on worrying about the baby and neglected your feelings during this time. I won’t do that anymore.”

After all, considering her age, expecting her to suddenly become a mature and composed mother was unrealistic. She was young and had suffered so much, it was normal for her to overthink things.

What Fu Sichan should do was not ignore her feelings or force her to accept reality and grow up quickly.

He should be there to support her, guide her, and help her gradually mature.

That was the true meaning of being “husband and wife.”

Lu Yunyao nestled into his arms, dependently rubbing her cheek against his chest.

Inhaling the mature scent of him made her feel much more at ease.

“Mr. why have you… not been living with me lately?”

The question slipped out before she could stop herself, and she felt her face flush intensely.

How could she say something like that!

Seeing her flushed ears, Fu Sichan’s eyes filled with a tender smile.

“I’ve been busy late at night, afraid of disturbing your rest. Plus, if you’re lying next to me, I might accidentally hurt you and the baby.”

Lu Yunyao looked up at him, puzzled. “How could you hurt me and the baby?”

Fu Sichan playfully nibbled on her delicate earlobe.

His voice was low and husky, carrying a hint of danger.

“What do you think?”

Realizing from his heated breath what he meant, she shyly turned away, feeling both embarrassed and scared.

“Don’t worry, your husband has enough self-control.”

Fu Sichan helped her put on her coat. “It’s time to go to school. I’ll have the driver take you.”

“Okay.”

Fu Sichan personally lifted her into the car, fastening her seatbelt for her.

“Take the hot milk with you and remember to drink it.”

He then closed the car door and reminded the driver to safely take her to school.

After the car left, Fu Sichan waved to have another vehicle follow discreetly.

In that car were four bodyguards, closely watching the vehicle ahead.

Lu Yunyao had no idea that, besides the driver, there were four strong bodyguards picking her up and dropping her off at school.

If she knew about this arrangement, she would find it both amusing and puzzling, thinking her Mr. was making a big deal out of nothing.

She was just going to school, not going to a fight—why did she need so many people?

When Grandma Fu called, her first concern was for her great-grandson.

Fu Sichan disapproved and said, “Grandma, you should also care about Yaoyao. You can’t just focus on the baby.”

His reminder made Grandma Fu realize her oversight.

“Oh dear, I’ve been so eager for this great-grandson that I’ve neglected my precious Yaoyao. It’s my fault, thank you for reminding me today. How has Yaoyao been lately? Have you taken her for regular check-ups at the hospital?”

“She’s been doing okay, but no matter how much she eats, she doesn’t gain weight, which has the doctor worried.”

Grandma Fu quickly asked, “Does she have a good appetite? No morning sickness?”

“It’s probably that the pregnancy meals aren’t to her liking, so she eats less. But there’s no morning sickness.”

Fu Sichan secretly observed her during meals every day. Lu Yunyao still had a small appetite and felt full after just a few bites.

He didn’t want to put too much pressure on her, so he refrained from frequently mentioning it.

Grandma Fu chuckled, “If you can’t handle this, you need someone with experience.”

Fu Sichan was puzzled. “Grandma, what do you mean?”

“You’ll find out tomorrow.”

The next day, Grandma Fu sent over a team of caretakers.

They seemed ordinary at first, but when they served the prepared dishes, the aroma filled the room.

Lu Yunyao exclaimed, her mouth watering. “It smells so good!”

“Which dish do you like?”

“Is this chicken soup? It smells amazing; I want a bowl!”

Fu Sichan personally served her the soup.

As Lu Yunyao’s appetite increased, the worry that had been lingering on Fu Sichan’s brow eased considerably.

The little girl had lost so much weight lately that her chin looked sharp finally, she had an appetite today.

Grandma really had her ways.
