{“Auntie” backed me up 2}
But it seemed Bian Yixing wasn’t quite aware of that; she flatly refused, “I’m already very happy playing with the pretty sisters.”
This statement had the people at the nearby table laughing with delight.
Even the less eloquent Xiao Yang chimed in about the importance of a “happy childhood.”
Yu Suyue felt like the only “villain” in this environment filled with good-hearted people.
The others didn’t seem satisfied with just being advocates; they looked like they wanted to cut off her thoughts right then and there.
The little one snuggled comfortably among the unreliable group of young women, feeling at ease.
Yu Suyue couldn’t help but cough lightly.
Looking around, she saw the child had suddenly become much more composed. She was sitting properly in the middle of the two aunts, her eyes sparkling with undisguised delight.
Yu Suyue still held onto her viewpoint; choosing to play instead of study at such a formative age seemed too much of a waste. If Bian Yixing was unwilling to attend a formal institution, she could personally help her find a tutor.
At the very least, she needed a solid reason to ask the big shot for money.
But when she got up to pay, she was surprised to find that Bian Yuan had already covered the bill for her.
A wave of guilt washed over Yu Suyue. After all, while she was scheming to get the big shot’s money, Bian Yuan had generously paid for her without hesitation.
She fell into a moment of inner turmoil about her conscience.
But soon, she convinced herself that she was merely “robbing the rich to help the poor.”
She gazed at the child who had just stepped out, her eyes growing more profound.
Bian Yixing probably sensed that her mother’s intense gaze likely meant she was about to arrange more studying for her.
Could she just give up?
If there was going to be pressure, let that heartless dad take it on.
The next moment, as Bian Yixing squeezed out of the cozy booth into the brightly lit corridor, she unexpectedly encountered the “bad dad” from yesterday’s argument.
He seemed focused on his own affairs, casually navigating through the crowd with long strides, one hand resting on the silver railing as he surveyed the bustling mall below.
He quietly jotted down a note in his business planner, his face wearing a serious expression.
Under the soft, misty lights of the mall, his solitary figure appeared both cold and upright.
Those behind him didn’t dare to make a sound.
His entire inspection was smooth and effortless; Bian yuan didn’t utter a single unnecessary word as he seamlessly rejoined the group of executives, completely unaware of her presence.
Taking advantage of the distraction, Bian Yixing let out a soft huff.
