The cold water you splashed on me, I’ll boil and throw right back at you.
Gasps and screams erupted in unison, even those who hadn’t been paying attention were now drawn to the scene.
“Look over there!”
“Has Feng Shi gone mad?!”
“Holy crap, am I seeing things?!”
The audience in the stands stared in shock, their mouths agape, as Feng Shi performed what seemed to be an impromptu striptease. This wasn’t some courtesan from a pleasure house—this was the Third Prince of Phoenix City!
Members of the Phoenix Clan exchanged bewildered glances, not understanding what Feng Shi was doing, but one thing was clear—they couldn’t let him embarrass himself any further!
But no one anticipated that Feng Shi’s speed in removing his clothes would far surpass their efforts to stop him.
Here’s how the situation unfolded:
First, Feng Shi’s face flushed red, and his movements became seductive, his Nine-Tailed Fox and Phoenix bloodlines amplifying his allure to the max.
Then, with the added effects of the Bewitching Eye from the Hehuan Sect, well… let’s just say it was a complete disaster.
Even the Phoenix Clan members rushing to save him were partially entranced, let alone the other families, who were simply there to watch the spectacle.
As a result, no one stepped in to save Feng Shi.
And so, Long Ming became the closest—and most unfortunate—victim of this bizarre scene.
Thus, a scandalous feast for the eyes began.
The entire plaza was filled with pink, dreamlike bubbles of infatuation, as gasps and exclamations continued to ring out.
Feng Shi was already extraordinarily beautiful, and when his wide sleeves fell gracefully to the ground like floating clouds, his clear, gentle eyes shimmered with seductive allure. His every glance seemed to radiate a bewitching charm, making him appear more like an ethereal spirit than a mortal.
Then came the second layer of sheer fabric, which fluttered to the floor.
Feng Shi’s eyes, brimming with springtime lust, his flowing black hair cascading like a waterfall, and his lips curled in an almost imperceptible smile, exuded an unparalleled sensuality in every movement.
Many of the young, inexperienced boys and girls in the audience were already blushing deeply, staring dazedly at Feng Shi, who now resembled a legendary enchantress.
With his beauty and charm fully unleashed, Feng Shi moved towards Long Ming step by step, able to entrance anyone who dared look at him.
But standing before him, Long Ming remained as cold as ever, his expression aloof, regal, like an untouchable flower atop a frozen peak—distant and unattainable.
His gaze toward Feng Shi was as if he were looking at a disgusting mass of worms or a pile of filth, something offensive to his eyes.
Yet Feng Shi was completely oblivious, lost in his trance. His movements were quick, as expected of a martial artist, and stripping off his clothes took mere seconds.
Finally, only one last layer of clothing remained, and beneath the thin fabric, his delicate figure could faintly be seen, like the most beautiful sight in the world.
Feng Shi’s hands were already moving to remove this final piece of fabric.
In the eyes of everyone watching, the man being forced to endure Feng Shi’s provocative dance—Long Ming—seemed completely unfazed by the spectacle.
On the contrary, it was as though he was disgusted by Feng Shi’s behavior. His righteous and clear gaze swept across the crowd, and anyone who met his eyes felt as if they had just awoken from a vivid dream, like they’d been pulled out of a springtime reverie.
Many in the crowd suddenly realized they had been enchanted by Feng Shi’s charms. Among them were those from families with deep knowledge, who quickly recognized this technique as a long-forgotten secret art of the Hehuan Sect. Feng Shi, who had no connection to that sect, how could he be using their secret techniques?
Could it be that Phoenix City was secretly involved with such a shady sect?
Or perhaps the Hehuan Sect, long thought to have disappeared, was planning a resurgence?
This seed of doubt was planted in the minds of many, and all it would take was the right trigger for it to grow. Phoenix City’s reputation could be destroyed in an instant. People started to fortify their mental defenses, blocking out the seductive aura surrounding Feng Shi.
Now, instead of infatuation, their gazes toward Feng Shi were full of suspicion. And when they looked at Phoenix City, it was no longer with admiration or respect, but with growing unease and doubt.
Rumors began swirling:
“They say the Hehuan Sect practices ‘yin harvesting’…”
“They say they need virgin boys and girls to cultivate their arts…”
“They say they collect the life essence of powerful warriors…”
In short, the Hehuan Sect was the enemy of all clans, a blight on Grimm Space.
If Phoenix City was really involved…
(↑↑This was the mental dialogue of every family leader, each one growing more and more paranoid…)
This is going even better than I expected!
Long Ming’s mind bubbled with amusement as he glanced around at the increasingly colorful expressions in the crowd. The anger Feng Shi had stirred in him was gradually dissipating.
You poured cold water on me? Well, don’t blame me when I boil it and throw it right back at you!
Those who had snapped out of the enchantment gave Long Ming looks of gratitude. They had heard that resisting the Hehuan Sect’s Bewitching Eye required a heart of pure innocence.
It seemed that Long Ming possessed exactly that!
If he became the warden of the Dimensional Prison, what a blessing that would be! Surely, the vile criminals of the prison would be purified under his righteous watch!
The crowd’s gaze shifted toward Sha Yu, now filled with envy. How had this old man gotten so lucky, finding such a strong and pure young man as his successor?
Their own family’s younger generation couldn’t even compare! Standing next to Long Ming, they were like dust beneath his feet.
As attention returned to the center of the arena, where Long Ming and Feng Shi stood, the striptease… was still happening, and Long Ming… could no longer endure it.
Why couldn’t he endure it, you ask?
Here’s the evidence, even with a mask on, you could see his face darkening with rage. His icy voice, perhaps failing to suppress his mental energy, rang out loud and clear. Everyone with any magic or martial abilities in the plaza heard it.
“Phoenix City is no ally of ours!” His voice was cold enough to freeze the air.
The moment those words fell, Feng Shi’s final layer of clothing… fluttered to the ground.
