The Little Monk of the God of War’s Household
LMGW Chapter 47: Regression of Power

[General, General, how are you?] His subordinates were calling out to him.

Duan Chenhui turned his head, looking at the few giant insect mothers searching for him outside the cave. These insect mothers were like aircraft carriers, casting huge shadows over the ground as they flew around, looking for him.

He replied via his communicator: [I’m fine. How are things on your side?]

[The ship’s energy won’t last much longer, and we’ve used up 80% of our weapons. There are too many enemies… The support team hasn’t arrived yet. Were we set up…]

[Damn it! According to the battle plan, they should’ve been here by now! Now we’re trapped in the enemy’s encirclement!]

[We’ll deal with them when we get back.] Duan Chenhui wiped his forehead. [Let’s get through this together.]

[Yes, General!]

[Hurry back, General!]

[I need to take care of these insect mothers first. Once they’re dead, the child insects will be thrown into chaos. Then you can seize the opportunity to counterattack and break through.]

[… The insect mothers are too big. Even with mechs, it’s like hitting a rock with an egg.]

[I have a plan.] Duan Chenhui cut off the communication, looking down at his thigh. He wrapped another layer of bandages around it, but blood still seeped out. Through the exposed skin, the lightning-like marks from the insect’s venom were visible.

Duan Chenhui stared at the wound intensely. Normally, this kind of injury could be treated with interstellar medical technology, but once poisoned by the insects, it became much harder to heal.

Outside, the insect mothers swung their tentacles, creating massive craters in the ground with each strike.

Duan Chenhui leaned against the stone wall, exhaling slowly before standing up and walking out. He stepped over the bodies of Zerg creatures and the wreckage of mechs scattered around.

He kicked a small stone out, immediately catching the attention of an insect mother.

Duan Chenhui wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and started running forward. He remembered there was a large pool of combustible gas ahead. If he could ignite it…

Duan Chenhui closed his eyes briefly, and a fleeting image of He Qing crossed his mind. Unfortunately, he might not be able to see him one last time, but perhaps that was for the best.

The tentacle of an insect mother lashed out toward him. Duan Chenhui rolled into a pit, coughing a few times as he looked up. The insect mother was glaring at him angrily.

Just as the insect mother was about to strike again, its tentacle was suddenly severed in mid-air by someone. Duan Chenhui was stunned for a moment, then saw a figure descend.

Seeing the person clearly, Duan Chenhui’s composed expression finally changed. “He Qing? What are you doing here?”

He Qing looked down at his injured leg, “I was just passing by.”

Duan Chenhui gritted his teeth, “Passing by? Do you know what’s happening out here?”

“I do now. Let me treat your leg first.” He Qing crouched down to examine his thigh, where blood was still flowing. He pulled a bandage over his eyes as he began to work.

Suddenly, Duan Chenhui heard thunder rumbling outside, causing his forehead to twitch. “He Qing, wait! There’s a huge amount of combustible gas here. If lightning strikes…”

“I know.” He Qing calmly removed the blood-soaked bandages and then undid Duan Chenhui’s belt. “This makes it easier to clean and bandage the wound.”

Duan Chenhui looked into his eyes, “If we don’t leave soon, we’ll die together.”

“Then we’ll leave together.”

“I can’t leave.”

“Neither will I, but we won’t die either.” He Qing didn’t look up, focusing on cleaning Duan Chenhui’s wound. The insect venom seemed to be stirring, so he frowned and used his spiritual energy to suppress it.

Duan Chenhui stared at the bandage over He Qing’s eyes, suddenly reaching up to touch it. “He Qing, you’re just deceiving yourself.”

“I don’t know what the General is talking about.” He Qing continued to wrap the bandage around him.

Duan Chenhui heard the thunder getting closer and leaned in toward He Qing. “You’ve blinded yourself, but you can still see everything clearly.”

He Qing paused for a moment as he finished tying the bandage and helped Duan Chenhui put his clothes back on. Then, he picked him up and flew out of the pit.

Duan Chenhui squinted slightly, looking up at the sky. It was filled with a strange thundercloud, even larger and more terrifying than before. What was even stranger was that He Qing was flying on a small sword.

The insect mothers noticed them and immediately swung their tentacles to attack, but He Qing effortlessly dodged them, flying directly underneath one of the insect mothers’ abdomens. The insect mother couldn’t see its own belly and flailed its tentacles in fury.

At that moment, lightning crashed down from the sky, striking the insect mother’s back with a deafening boom.

Duan Chenhui looked at He Qing and suddenly understood what He Qing was trying to do—kill two birds with one stone.

Sun Tu finally caught up. Seeing the massive insects and the dense lightning descending from the sky, he was utterly shocked. “He Qing!!” he shouted as he flew toward them, but a massive explosion erupted, throwing him to the ground. A giant mushroom cloud rose into the sky.

Sun Tu stared in disbelief. “Damn… am I really going to have to collect his body?” He scrambled to his feet and rushed over, hoping that maybe He Qing could still be saved. When he arrived at the crater, he saw only charred remains of the Zerg, with a faint burnt smell lingering in the air.

“…” Sun Tu was silent for a moment. “He Qing! Are you dead?! If you’re not, say something!” He looked up at the sky, where even the tribulation clouds had been blown away…

Sun Tu wiped his face hard. This time, he really needed a miracle… The survival odds were too low.

Duan Chenhui blacked out after the explosion. When he woke up again, he found himself in a cave. He immediately jolted awake, “He Qing!”

Duan Chenhui stood up and looked around, seeing a giant lotus leaf overhead, with He Qing sitting cross-legged on it, floating on the water.

Duan Chenhui looked up and saw a huge lotus flower at the top of the leaf, surrounded by He Qing’s pheromones.

Cough, cough… Duan Chenhui coughed a few times, limping forward. There was a lake between him and He Qing. “He Qing, are you in heat?”

He Qing remained still, like the lotus flower, as if he were the only person there.

“He Qing, I can give you a temporary mark…” Duan Chenhui stepped into the lake. The water was shallow, barely reaching his knees.

He Qing didn’t respond, so Duan Chenhui walked up to him. He looked up at the lotus flower, which slowly bloomed, its white jade-like petals glowing softly with a faint colorful halo, radiating a holy aura.

As the lotus blossomed, the cave filled even more with He Qing’s pheromones.

Duan Chenhui looked down at He Qing, who was frowning and chanting a sutra. Beads of sweat dripped down his forehead, and his face gradually contorted in pain—a side effect of the injection he had previously received.

Duan Chenhui stepped onto the lotus leaf, placing his hands on He Qing’s shoulders and sitting down. He Qing’s chanting came to an abrupt stop.

Duan Chenhui gazed down at him, stroking the hair on the back of his head. “He Qing, you said that chanting calms the mind. Can you still calm your mind now?”

“Do you know why you can’t calm down anymore?” Duan Chenhui pressed him question after question. “It’s because you’re no longer capable of it.”

He Qing kept his eyes closed and said nothing.

Duan Chenhui smiled slightly and leaned down to whisper in his ear, “You can refuse me.” He paused. “But I’ll keep going.”

Duan Chenhui started undoing He Qing’s clothes. Halfway through, He Qing suddenly grabbed his wrist, breathing heavily, “General… you can’t.”

Duan Chenhui suddenly kissed him, and He Qing’s eyes widened slightly before he slowly let go of his grip.

Piece by piece, their clothes floated on the water. Duan Chenhui sat at He Qing’s feet, now only wearing a shirt, which He Qing had stubbornly kept him from removing.

Duan Chenhui lowered his head, leaning close to his neck. “I can mark you, and you can mark me.”

“General—” He Qing, drenched in sweat, clenched onto Duan Chenhui’s shirt tightly. Duan Chenhui lowered his head and bit down.

He Qing’s body trembled as their pheromones intertwined, even their spiritual energies wrapped together, leaving them breathless and with racing hearts.

Duan Chenhui let go, blood at the corner of his mouth. He looked at He Qing, whose face was flushed, even the tips of his ears tinged with pink. His beautiful face appeared even more radiant.

He Qing suddenly reached out and touched the corner of his mouth.

“You’re bleeding…”

“It’s your blood.” Duan Chenhui said, closing his eyes slightly. Holding onto He Qing’s shoulders, he moved rhythmically, causing the lotus leaf to tremble and sending ripples across the water.

Duan Chenhui tried to control his breathing and gasps, but being an Enigma made things more difficult.

After a while, Duan Chenhui was suddenly pinned down onto the lotus leaf by He Qing, who looked down at him without saying a word, his breath slightly unsteady.

“General, please endure it for a while.”

He Qing lowered his head and ripped off the prayer beads hanging around his neck.

“The General was right. Once the heart is stirred, it can no longer calm down. No amount of chanting can help.”

The prayer beads snapped, scattering into the lake and sinking to the stone bed at the bottom.

The pheromones exploded in full force, throwing their breaths into disarray.

Much later, Duan Chenhui woke up. He looked around, seeing everything bathed in white light. They were inside the flower. He Qing sat beside him, placing each prayer bead into a wooden box one by one.

Duan Chenhui sat up and looked at He Qing, noticing that his face was pale. He touched his sore waist, confused as to why He Qing seemed even weaker than he did.

“He Qing, are you still in heat?”

“It’s over.” He Qing glanced at him briefly, avoiding eye contact. “But there are still Zerg outside, so we can’t get out.” His magic was gone, and his mental power had regressed… He had truly become a frail Omega unable to fend for himself.

“Then we’ll rest here for a while before heading out.” Duan Chenhui leaned against the lotus, reaching out to touch it. “This flower is really big.”

“Mm…” He Qing murmured softly, looking at his hand, then placing something yellow and furry in Duan Chenhui’s palm. “Eat this.”

“What is it?” Duan Chenhui looked at the yellow, fuzzy object in his hand. It looked like a soybean.

“It’s pollen.”

“…” Duan Chenhui looked down and touched the ground, finding lots of pollen. “I’ve never seen such large grains of pollen.”

“… But you can only eat one.” He Qing hesitated, his gaze uncertain as he looked at him. “General, eat it quickly. We’ll leave in a bit.”

“Mm.” Duan Chenhui thought this flower had grown really fast. He ate the pollen, and after a while, suddenly felt his waist was no longer sore and his legs didn’t hurt anymore. He was surprised and touched his foot. “That was really effective.” No wonder he could only eat one.

He Qing hesitated before replying, “Yes.” He stood up and peeled back the flower petals. “Let’s go.” He leapt onto the lotus leaf, which automatically transformed into a staircase.

Duan Chenhui followed him, walking down the leaf steps until they reached the shore. He Qing retracted his true form.

Duan Chenhui looked at his still-pale face. “Are you really okay?”

“I’m fine.” He Qing smiled weakly. This time, he was genuinely weak and didn’t have to pretend. But Duan Chenhui probably didn’t like people who were truly weak, right?

He Qing started walking forward, but after a few steps, Duan Chenhui grabbed him. “Someone’s coming.”

“Oh.” He Qing stopped but couldn’t sense anyone approaching. He pressed a hand to his forehead.

Duan Chenhui looked at him skeptically and pulled him along as he contacted his subordinates: [How are things on your side?]

[General! The insect mothers are dead! We’ve broken through the encirclement! What about you? The reinforcements have arrived, and we’re coming to rescue you!]

[No need to rush. Everything’s fine on my side. Wait for me at the original location.]

[Roger that!]

After finishing the communication, Duan Chenhui patted He Qing’s head. As expected, he was sweating coldly. Duan Chenhui pulled him to a stop. “Why is this happening?”

“… Maybe it’s a side effect of that injection.” He Qing looked at him.

Duan Chenhui still had his doubts. “We’ll check it out when we get back.”

He Qing nodded. They stood there for a while before Sun Tu finally found them. He rushed over and exclaimed, “You two really know how to hide!”

When he saw He Qing, he was shocked: “Holy crap! Little monk, where did all your cultivation go?!”

He Qing glared at him: “Regressed by ten thousand years.”
