Love Signals Chapter 45

Chapter 45

Hearing her concede, a shadow flickered in Pei Qingci’s eyes.

His palm rested on her waist, warm against her skin even through the thickness of their clothes. He lowered his gaze to her, his voice hoarse. “Whatever scene you want to act out, we’ll do that scene.”

“…”

The living room fell into a brief silence.

After a moment, with her ears slightly flushed, Sheng Qingli directed her gaze to a nearby single chair. “Then you… go sit in that chair.”

Pei Qingci leisurely raised an eyebrow, glancing at the single chair with a deepening smile on his lips. “Are you sure you want to act out this scene?”

Sheng Qingli shot him an annoyed glare. “Don’t take advantage and then play coy.”

Pei Qingci would never dare.

After a pause, he released Sheng Qingli and walked over to the chair, gracefully sitting down.

In the script, the male lead was always in a wheelchair.

His legs weren’t amputated; they had just been severely injured, rendering his calves almost useless, unable to stand or walk.

Seeing Pei Qingci sit down, Sheng Qingli instinctively touched her ear, then stood up to grab the script from a short distance away.

This action was somewhat counterproductive; although she had only read the complete script once, she had remembered the general content, plot developments, and even some classic lines.

Pretending to browse through the script, Sheng Qingli looked up at the person nearby and deliberately said, “If you’re uncomfortable later, I won’t take responsibility.”

She hadn’t yet told Pei Qingci that the prop, sent by Li Yuwei, had arrived the day before.

Pei Qingci smiled. “Ms. Sheng.”

“What is it?” Sheng Qingli replied.

“Are you trying to buy time?” Pei Qingci asked, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

Sheng Qingli felt slightly embarrassed and put down the script. “I’m not buying time.”

She insisted, “I just want to give you a bit more preparation time.”

Pei Qingci chuckled, unable to resist saying, “Why are you still so cute?”

Sheng Qingli was a typical representative of being tough on the outside but soft on the inside.

Hearing Pei Qingci’s straightforward compliment, she stopped hesitating; after all, acting now or later was the same—this scene had to be performed regardless.

Moreover, she understood that Pei Qingci wanted her to rehearse in advance, not just for his own benefit, but to help her prepare mentally.

If they were to act this scene privately, and she couldn’t overcome her mental block, she would need to seriously consider whether to take the movie or not.

Still wearing the coat she had put on when going out, Sheng Qingli removed it, revealing her attractive body curve.

Her jeans were loose, while her knit top was short and fitted.

With a slight movement, she exposed a slender, fair waist that seemed to glow under the bright overhead light, making her look enticing.

Throwing the coat onto the sofa, Sheng Qingli lifted her gaze to Pei Qingci. “So, should I… begin?”

Pei Qingci looked straight at her and said, “Okay.”

Half a minute later, Sheng Qingli’s emotions shifted. At this moment, she was portraying the character Sang Xue during her teenage years, when she and the male lead, Heng Yi, shared a deep understanding.

Though they had confessed their feelings for each other and confirmed their mutual affection, he insisted on a very proper courtship, even when kissing her, doing so only lightly on the corner of her mouth.

Sang Xue felt frustrated and confused.

She had seen her friends in relationships and had watched other couples in movies and on TV.

Of course, she wasn’t saying that dating her boyfriend was solely about that one thing. But once they were on the same page, it was strange that there was no further development, and Sang Xue couldn’t help but overthink.

This day came after a week of cold war between Sang Xue and Heng Yi, when she decided to seek him out again.

The last time she had visited Heng Yi, when their feelings were running deep, Sang Xue had gazed dreamily into his eyes and hinted at not wanting to go home that night, hoping for further intimacy. However, he had rejected her and had his bodyguard send her home.

After that day, they hadn’t contacted each other for a week.

Seeing Sang Xue again, Heng Yi felt a fleeting surprise.

His eyelashes fluttered slightly, and the fingers resting on his thigh curled up, betraying his emotions. “Why did you come by today?”

His voice remained as cool as ever, revealing little emotion.

Sang Xue looked at him, her lips pressed into a straight line. “If I hadn’t come, would you have continued to ignore me?”

Heng Yi lowered his gaze and said quietly, “I thought you were angry.”

“Yes, I am angry.” Sang Xue told him straightforwardly. “Don’t you know why I’m angry?”

Heng Yi remained silent.

He stared steadily at Sang Xue, his lips moving, “Xiao Xue, perhaps we—”

“What about us?” Sang Xue moved closer to him, not allowing him to finish, “If you dare to say that phrase, I really won’t come to find you again.”

Heng Yi remained calm, locking eyes with her.

In the end, he did not utter the words that they were not suited for each other. During this week of cold war, he had thought about her every day, both day and night.

But he was unsure if she thought about him too. Did she mind that he felt so inadequate?

After a moment of silence, Heng Yi asked, “What have you been busy with these days?”

“Studying,” Sang Xue replied.

Heng Yi: “Oh?”

A slight smile appeared at the corner of his lips as he asked softly, “What have you learned?”

“You want to know?” Sang Xue’s eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief, which Heng Yi did not notice.

Heng Yi sensed that there was a trap in her words, but when he met her clear, shining eyes, he couldn’t help but nod, “Want to tell me about it?”

Sang Xue: “Sure.”

She squatted in front of him, tilted her face, and kissed his lips, “Then I’ll tell you now.”

Heng Yi’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he softly replied, “…Okay.”

As the word “okay” left his lips, Sang Xue pressed her lips against his.

Heng Yi’s brow twitched, and he instinctively wanted to push her away. However, Sang Xue was ready; she firmly held his hand and straddled his lap, threatening, “If you push me away now, I really won’t come find you again.”

“…”

Heng Yi hesitated.

And it was this moment of hesitation that gave Sang Xue the opportunity she needed. Her kiss moved from his lips to his cheek, then pressed against his ear. She had watched many movies these past few days and learned quite a bit.

She imitated the male protagonists from the films, leaning toward Heng Yi’s ear and blowing gently.

In that instant, Heng Yi’s breathing quickened, “Sang Xue.”

He called her by her full name.

Sang Xue ignored him, tentatively extending her tongue to lick his ear and praised him, “Heng Yi, your ears are so soft.”

Her youthful voice was sweet and soft, drilling into his ear and carrying a sort of intoxicating effect.

Sang Xue was unaware.

Heng Yi had always had no defenses against her.

The hands he had pinned down were visibly tense, the veins on the backs of his hands protruding, and his Adam’s apple moved uncontrollably as his breathing became heavy, his powerful thighs tightening with awareness.

“Sang Xue.”

He called her again, “Calm down a bit.”

“I am calm,” Sang Xue said. “Don’t move around.”

Heng Yi tried to make one last stand, “We can take it slow.”

“Don’t worry about me.” Sang Xue didn’t listen; her lips had already moved from his ear downwards.

Seeing Heng Yi’s Adam’s apple moving as he swallowed, Sang Xue curiously reached out to touch it.

As expected, Heng Yi let out a muffled groan.

His low panting was a bit hoarse and somewhat seductive.

Sang Xue felt her ears heat up, her body reacting similarly.

But she didn’t want to stop midway.

Her long eyelashes fluttered as she nervously licked her lips and, under Heng Yi’s gaze, extended her tongue to lick his Adam’s apple.

At that moment, Heng Yi closed his eyes, his arms breaking free from Sang Xue’s grip as he clenched his fists to hold back.

The temples on his forehead throbbed, and his body surged with an indescribable pleasure.

“You feel… something.” Sang Xue was pleasantly surprised, her eyes sparkling, “I thought…”

“What did you think?” Heng Yi asked knowingly.

Sang Xue opened her mouth, pouting in a wronged manner, “What do you think?”

She had previously suspected that Heng Yi had not taken any further action for a long time, and besides the deep love she saw in his eyes, he behaved too much like a gentleman, not like a normal person.

Combining this with his body language, Sang Xue naturally began to think in another direction.

Heng Yi couldn’t answer her; he didn’t want her to regret it in the future.

“We…”

“Don’t say anything.” At this moment, Sang Xue didn’t want to hear his voice. She covered his lips, and with her limited knowledge, gently bit Heng Yi’s lower lip, extending her tongue to explore inside.

Their tongues touched together.

Sang Xue seemed to be encouraged by this and kissed him more deeply.

However, she only had theoretical knowledge, not practical experience, and a few times, she accidentally bit Heng Yi’s tongue. He winced in pain, making a sound that was both alluring and heart-wrenching.

After a long while.

Heng Yi helplessly raised his hand, resting it on the back of her head, sighing lightly, seeming indulgent, doting, and resigned. “You’re such a fool.”

Just as Sang Xue was about to retort, he took the initiative, invading her mouth and ensnaring her tongue.

He kissed her in a way that was both distant and intimate, leaving Sang Xue in a state of fluttering emotions.

They shared their first real deep kiss.

But Sang Xue wasn’t satisfied. She came to see him today with the intention of sleeping with him or at least making him break his vows. She started to touch him, kneeling on him and tugging at his clothes.

Although he had lived in this garden villa for years, Heng Yi paid great attention to his appearance. After getting up, he would change into his going-out clothes. On weekdays, he wore suits, and occasionally for video conferences, he would even put on a tie. On weekends, he dressed relatively casually.

Today was the weekend, and the autumn weather was a bit chilly. He wore two layers: a black windbreaker and a lighter-colored casual shirt underneath, which was of fine quality and very soft to the touch.

Sang Xue reached out to unbutton his shirt.

Heng Yi raised his hand to stop her. “Xiao Xue.”

He slightly lifted his eyes, reminding her again, “Don’t do something you’ll regret.”

“If you don’t let me continue today, you’ll regret it.”

“…”

They were at an impasse for a while. Heng Yi’s gaze darkened as he stared at her. “Are you sure you want to continue?”

“I have no doubts.” Sang Xue had made up her mind; she was here without hesitation. “Don’t worry about what I do; just sit there obediently.”

Seeing her determination, Heng Yi sighed helplessly. “This kind of thing should be done by me.”

“If you don’t want to, then I can only—” Sang Xue said, feeling wronged. Before she could finish, Heng Yi could no longer restrain himself and kissed her lips again, his voice husky. “There’s nothing I don’t want.”

He was afraid of hurting her.

When this kiss fell again, everything seemed to change.

Heng Yi’s hand no longer rested rigidly on the armrest; he lifted his hand to caress her slender waist. The kisses traveled down from her chin to her long, fair neck, her collarbone… and then further down.

“Xiao Xue…” he murmured between kisses, “You can stop this anytime.”

Heng Yi’s tongue was soft and warm.

Through the thin fabric of her clothes, Sang Xue could hardly control a soft moan. She instinctively grasped his arm, mumbling, “I don’t…”

She didn’t want him to stop.

In truth, movies usually stop here, and anything further wouldn’t be shown, nor would they expect the actors to really act it out.

But at this moment, the two in the scene had already forgotten about the script.

Pei Qingci reacted noticeably when Sheng Qingli kissed his Adam’s apple.

Sheng Qingli felt similarly.

As she kissed him, her body gradually tensed.

The knitted top had a small round neckline.

The neckline was low enough to facilitate Pei Qingci’s movements.

As his kisses landed near the edge, Sheng Qingli’s mind still managed to remind him, “We’re in the middle of…”

“Done.” Pei Qingci answered her impatiently.

Sheng Qingli felt her tailbone tingle from his kisses, her eyes glazing over, her body becoming somewhat stiff.

Though they had done this many times before, it had been a long time.

Being teased like this by Pei Qingci years later made Sheng Qingli, who was already sensitive, unable to withstand it. She quickly responded.

Fortunately, she was wearing jeans today.

Pei Qingci didn’t notice right away.

Her body was no longer her own; her breathing became rapid.

Sheng Qingli let out a soft moan, which sounded to Pei Qingci like a certain kind of hint.

After a long while.

Pei Qingci lifted his head from her chest, taking in the sight of her flushed cheeks and hazy eyes.

His gaze was deep and dark, like a pool, a bit frightening.

When Sheng Qingli opened her eyes and met his gaze, her breath tightened, and her heart raced. “You…”

“What about me?” Pei Qingci suddenly tightened his grip on her waist and lifted her off the chair. “Go back to the room, or… continue here?”

Before Sheng Qingli could respond, Pei Qingci suddenly said, “You didn’t perform well enough just now. Do you want me to teach you?”

Sheng Qingli’s long eyelashes fluttered as she held back her shame and asked, “How… how will you teach me?”

Pei Qingci smirked, tightening his jaw again, and leaned in to kiss her.

He placed her back in that chair, gripping her slender ankle and leaning down slightly. “Like this.”

“…”

His fingers moved close to the edge of her jeans.

The button had been undone without her noticing.

Under the soft glow of the lamp, Sheng Qingli’s skin was dazzlingly pale.

Pei Qingci kissed her, leaving wet marks on her body. He watched her every reaction, making her feel like there was nowhere to hide before him.

When Sheng Qingli was dating Pei Qingci before, she knew he wasn’t really celibate or cold.

But that was really a long time ago.

She hadn’t experienced such stimulation in a long while, nor felt the warmth and moistness of his lips and tongue like this.

Sitting in the chair, she couldn’t help but want to grab hold of something, wanting to push him away.

But she had no strength.

She made soft, muffled sounds, even giving the impression that she wanted to speak but hesitated.

In the silent living room, apart from the whimpering sounds of Sheng Qingli enduring, there was only the clear, blush-inducing sound of water.

A feeling of softness spread throughout her body.

“…………”

After a while, she was once again embraced by Pei Qingci. Sheng Qingli felt utterly weak, her consciousness still not returning from the recent stimulation.

Suddenly, Pei Qingci lifted her from the chair and brought her close to his lips, as if he wanted to kiss her.

Noticing this, Sheng Qingli pushed his head away with a hint of disdain. “No…”

She protested softly.

Pei Qingci smiled, chuckling lightly, “Are you disgusted with me or with yourself?”

Sheng Qingli didn’t want to answer him.

In the end, she was still held tightly in Pei Qingci’s arms, sharing a long kiss with him.

“Pei Qingci…” Sheng Qingli closed her eyes, feeling his muscular arms, and whispered, “Upstairs…”

Pei Qingci kissed her cheek, his breath heavy. “What?”

“There’s…” Sheng Qingli said softly, “First, take a shower.”

She felt dirty all over.

Upon hearing this, Pei Qingci paused slightly, his gaze fixed on her. “You—”

“Hurry.” Sheng Qingli’s cheeks flushed, her neck turning red as well. “If you hesitate, I will—”

Pei Qingci didn’t give Sheng Qingli a chance to regret. He lifted her up and, while kissing her, carried her upstairs.

The bathroom was filled with steam.

The glass door, not particularly soundproof, occasionally let out tempting low moans and gasps.

The floor of the bathroom was soaked.

When Sheng Qingli came out of the bathroom, she raised her hand to show Pei Qingci the way.

The gift prepared by Li Yuwei was in the drawer of the bedside table last night.

The sound of tearing was clear; Pei Qingci grasped Sheng Qingli’s hand, kissing the corners of her lips, guiding her, “Help me.”

“……”

Sheng Qingli actually felt a bit unsure.

Slowly, she put the item on Pei Qingci, and before she could take a closer look, Pei Qingci could no longer hold back and swallowed all the words she was about to say, transforming them into more enticing, melodious sounds.

In fits and starts, Sheng Qingli couldn’t say a complete sentence.

For a long time, she felt as if she was floating in the clouds, neither up nor down. But whether it was up or down, there was always someone supporting her, giving her enough sense of security.

This night seemed to stretch on forever.
