Battle with the Octopus Monster, Part 2

At this moment, Ye Mo was quite far from where the octopus monster was located. Yet, its tentacle slithered silently underwater, inching closer and closer to her. No one expected that its tentacles could stretch and contract, and now it had extended to several dozen meters in length. Just as it reached under Ye Mo’s feet, it suddenly burst out of the water and wrapped tightly around her ankle.

The viewers watching the live stream screamed in terror.

“Run, madam!”

“Madam, dodge quickly!”

“Oh my god, what now?”

“Help!”

“Who can save the general’s wife?”

Despite the panic around her, Ye Mo remained completely calm. She pulled out a sword and slashed at the octopus tentacle wrapped around her ankle. With one clean strike, black liquid splattered everywhere, though Ye Mo easily dodged it. However, the tentacle remained coiled tightly around her ankle, refusing to break.

Ye Mo could feel a strong, dark energy emanating from the tentacle. She let out a cold snort, then cast a spell that turned the severed tentacle to ash.

Only then did the octopus monster let out a bloodcurdling scream, as if turning its tentacle to ash had caused it severe pain.

Ye Mo narrowed her eyes slightly. It seemed that unless the tentacle was reduced to ash, it wouldn’t cause the creature any real harm. The severed part of the tentacle quickly began to retract, but Ye Mo wasn’t about to let it get away. She swung her sword several more times, slicing through several more tentacles, and each time, she used her spell to reduce the severed pieces to ash.

The octopus monster screamed repeatedly in agony, startling Mo Mo. He had already noticed Ye Mo’s actions, but seeing the monster attacking his wife while fighting him made him furious. He increased the intensity of his attacks on the creature.

Meanwhile, Ye Mo told Mo Mo how to seriously injure the monster. As the creature wailed, Mo Mo struck one of its tentacles with a powerful blow, shattering it.

This time, the monster’s cries grew even louder. The sound was so intense that even viewers watching from the live stream were terrified.

“Does anyone else need a drink of water to calm down?”

“I can’t even look at the screen anymore!”

“This is terrifying!”

“I’m too scared to watch, but I need to know General Mo Mo is okay. What do I do?”

“I also want to make sure General Mo Mo is safe.”

“I’m sure the General is fine. No way this little creature can harm him.”

Just then, Mo Mo noticed something alarming. The liquid oozing from the monster’s wounds was polluting the ocean around them. If this continued, how would they extract the life-giving water they needed?

“Darling, its fluid is polluting the sea. Think of something!” Mo Mo called out while continuing to fight the octopus.

Ye Mo quickly used her powers to gather the dark water, handing it over to the butler. In truth, she thought the contaminated water might be useful for their Yin Pool. Perhaps it could even enhance it.

The octopus monster, now provoked, became even more vicious. Its entire body shot out of the water, and all of its tentacles lunged at Mo Mo simultaneously, trying to envelop him while it hurled itself at him with full force.

Mo Mo quickly dodged all its attacks.

SPLASH! The octopus monster’s massive body crashed into the water, and for a moment, it felt as though its bones had been shattered. Had it been any heavier, it would have sunk straight to the ocean floor.

Waves soared into the air, and Ye Mo flew a little farther back, sensing that the octopus monster was about to lose control. As expected, the creature let out an enraged roar.

Ye Mo noticed something strange about its scream. Mo Mo furrowed his brow, drawing a sword and rushing toward the octopus’s head.

The creature saw the sword coming, and just as it was about to pierce its body, the area where the sword struck caved in. Its body was soft—astonishingly so.

Mo Mo dragged the sword across its body, expecting to slice through it. Instead, the blade merely slid over its surface without causing any real damage.

This creature was too soft and slippery, even for a blade as sharp as his.

In the live stream, viewers were shocked by what they saw. Despite the creature’s black exterior, the sword’s path was clearly visible.

“How can a sword that sharp not hurt it? This is terrifying!”

“Use a gun! Use a laser gun!”

“Yes, a gun!”

“Has the General forgotten about his gun?”

Just as the viewers shouted, Mo Mo pulled out a gun and fired at the octopus. Unfortunately, the bullets were absorbed by the creature, causing no harm.

At that moment, Ye Mo flew over and threw a lightning talisman onto the octopus. Grabbing Mo Mo, she quickly retreated.

Suddenly, dozens of bolts of lightning crashed down from the sky, striking the octopus. The creature tried to escape, but the lightning followed wherever it went.

The entire sea was filled with flashes of lightning, and when the storm finally subsided, the octopus floated lifelessly on the surface, its black fluid contaminating the surrounding waters.

Ye Mo wanted to collect the black water, but Mo Mo stopped her. He then enchanted his sword with fire magic and stabbed it into the octopus.

The sword ignited the creature, and with a final, horrific scream, the octopus was reduced to ashes.

Everyone watching breathed a collective sigh of relief.

But just then, trouble arose on the treetop platform. A Space Warrior shouted, “There are baby octopuses over here!”

Ye Mo and Mo Mo rushed over. Several small octopuses had climbed onto the platform and were attacking the Space Warriors.

Ye Mo quickly summoned a spaceship, guiding it to hover above the platform. Meanwhile, Mo Mo fought off the baby octopuses, tossing the Space Warriors onto the ship one by one.

The couple worked seamlessly together, and soon, all the warriors were safely aboard the ship.

With the warriors safe, Mo Mo focused entirely on eliminating the baby octopuses. These smaller creatures were far easier to handle, and in no time, Mo Mo had turned them to ash as well, leaping onto the ship afterward.

At this point, the viewers turned their attention to the seemingly simple wooden ship.

“This ship looks so basic. There’s no cockpit—how is it moving?” one person couldn’t help but ask.
