The Female Villain and Male Villain Have a Kid Now: Chapter 17-1

{“What about you, Dad? Are you jealous?” 1}

Yu Suye, feeling puzzled, reported her entire day’s schedule to the father and daughter pair.

Once she finished detailing the plans for Friday, she vaguely sensed that something was off.

When did she become so restrained in doing things? Even if the other party was her boss and his family, they had no right to pry into so many personal matters.

However, Yu Suye soon realized that she had spontaneously thought of them without any prompting or coercion.

She naturally started to care about Bian Yuxing’s feelings and occasionally found herself imagining the scene of the old man with the child. She preferred to see them locking eyes and in a standoff rather than the affectionate bond of father and daughter.

Thinking about this, she could have skipped the birthday party that had nothing to do with her and instead spent time with the soft, mischievous, and adorable little girl.

She wished she could urge Lin Wushen, that stingy guy, to return everything quickly.

However, before she got her things, Lin Wushen was the one in charge. This is the reason why the borrower often acts like the one in control.

Friday evening.

The streetlights on the main road were too far apart, and only when passing under a streetlight could one occasionally see the shadows of leaves on the dark road.

Walking in the cold wind, Yu Suye couldn’t help but wrap her black wool coat tighter around herself. She had initially planned to take a taxi but ultimately chose to walk to the entrepreneurship center near the university town. Perhaps it was due to the burden of loans; Yu Suye couldn’t justify taking a taxi and opted to walk instead.

She took the elevator to the concealed building behind Jiu Xiao.

The bar was located on the 19th floor.

She had come here with Song Yuren before, so she was quite familiar and easily made her way up.

However, as soon as she arrived, she entered a familiar private room and became dazed; Lin Wushen, who was supposed to return the computer, was nowhere to be seen.

Looking more closely into the private room, she saw mostly familiar faces. She was once familiar with, and this group of people who had long been friends with Lin Wushen naturally knew her. Upon seeing her, they greeted her in a chorus, calling out “Sister-in-law!”

Yu Suye waved her hand, rejecting the annoying title. At that moment, she genuinely felt worried.

Misunderstandings regarding male-female relationships were no big deal… but she was afraid this group would make her the scapegoat for tonight’s bill.

She had originally come to retrieve her belongings, but now it seemed that this group had set a trap, waiting for her to take the bait.

Yu Suye was currently in urgent need of repaying her mortgage and was eager to prove to her parents that she could also bring them some pride one day.

She wouldn’t let a few people deter her from her intentions.

However, considering how much Lin Wushen valued his reputation, Yu Suye was still willing to give him a bit of face. She didn’t want to directly reveal her intentions in front of everyone.

She circled around and delicately stated, “I’m looking for Lin Wushen.”

A few male college students showed no sign of being students at all; rather, they seemed quite worldly. Yu Suye noticed that some of the girls in their arms were definitely not their usual girlfriends.

She shot them a cold glance.

The group continued to egg each other on, “Is our beautiful Suye so eager?”

They made irrelevant and suggestive jokes.

At this point, Yu Suye had to clarify in advance to avoid giving them any opportunities for profit.

“I’m also very happy to be here today to celebrate Lin Wushen’s birthday, but I must clarify one thing: apart from the deposit I’ve already paid, all subsequent expenses will be solely borne by Lin Wushen. So please don’t assume that the bill will be on me.”

The atmosphere suddenly became agitated, and a few people exclaimed.

“Hey, why do you have to make it so clear!?”

“Yeah, exactly.”

“Who doesn’t know that your family, Yu Suye, has a factory in the coastal area, unlike our Lin Wushen, who is just a poor student?”

From their words, Yu Suye sensed annoyance and dissatisfaction from not getting what they wanted.

Why should they!?

How could they so presumptuously demand her continued contributions and even pretend to be loyal by speaking on Lin Wushen’s behalf?

In the past, Yu Suye had only suspected that Lin Wushen and his friends were aware of their relationship and were deliberately taking advantage of it. At that moment, however, the feeling of being seen as a pushover was both vivid and intense.

Yu Suye didn’t want to stay there for even a second longer.

She slammed the door shut behind her, leaving behind one last sentence.

“If you think Lin Wushen’s financial situation needs support, then you can help him out yourselves.”

Although Yu Suye was eager to get back what belonged to her, she hated being stuck in a confined space with that large group of people.

What she hated even more was the feeling of being calculated against.

Lin Wushen must have figured that she wouldn’t embarrass him in front of everyone, so he had her come over, testing her and maybe even trying to squeeze a little more out of her.

She wouldn’t help an old lady but would help Lin Wushen.

This ridiculous maneuver made Yu Suye feel as if she had been blind in the past, and now she could firmly conclude that she really had been blind.

Especially as she walked down the dimly lit hallway, she personally witnessed Lin Wushen with the rumored woman he had an ambiguous relationship with—Xu Wanwan.

Yu Suye had never held any malice toward the girl; she just found it laughable how Lin Wushen’s hand, which had been resting on Xu Wanwan’s slender waist, quietly retracted the moment he saw her.

At that moment, she felt exactly like the vicious supporting female character in a novel.

She had deliberately come over to “break them up.”

But now, with her inner demons subsiding, Yu Suye wished she could declare right then and there how willing she was to “facilitate” the two of them. However, another thought suddenly surfaced in her mind.

Xu Wanwan did look fragile and timid, like a jasmine flower that could wither at any moment. Her face was pale, and she didn’t even dare to meet Yu Suye’s gaze, instead hiding behind Lin Wushen.

Although she didn’t understand what kind of taste the big shot had, Yu Suye had gotten a down payment for a house from Bian Yuan, so she was willing to keep an eye on things for him.

She remembered the initial reason the big shot agreed to meet her.

Wasn’t it… to get close to the unattainable Xu Wanwan?

Her mindset had changed, but the big shot might still be particularly devoted.

After today’s events, she felt that Lin Wushen was indeed unreliable, and the level of his friends was equally low.
