{“What about you, Dad? Are you jealous?” 3}
Lin Wushen hurriedly chased after her.
He didn’t care about the gazes of others; even if Xu Wanwan wanted him to stay, his usual colleagues looked down on him for this behavior.
He needed to get some clarity.
Yu Suye saw Lin Wushen recklessly pursuing her.
His eyes were reddened, while she rolled her eyes.
“Why?”
“Why choose to pursue me only to treat me this way in the end?!”
Yu Suye couldn’t understand; did such scum still exist in this day and age? He gained all sorts of benefits and still had the audacity to talk to her in this victimized manner?
Before Yu Suye could even say “Heh,” the damned man grabbed her wrist. She thought Lin Wushen deserved the humiliation for plotting against her.
She struggled to break free.
But Lin Wushen stubbornly followed her to the bar like a persistent adhesive.
Gu Weiyi, the owner of the bar and the senior who gave Yu Suye the low-priced introduction at J University, finally couldn’t bear to watch this scene.
His junior originally came with good intentions to host a birthday party for her friend; it would have been fine if he had shown a little gratitude, yet he had the gall to make things difficult for a girl in public?
Moreover, he had never heard of a girl being asked to pay in advance; this was the first time he had witnessed such a thing in his life.
He casually grabbed an empty whiskey bottle from the shelf and pushed it against Lin Wushen’s throat, warning, “Stay away from her.”
Lin Wushen originally didn’t want to offend a senior with resources and capabilities, but at this moment, he couldn’t accept the fact that Yu Suye would no longer contribute for him. “Then tell me, you don’t like me anymore…”
Before he could finish his sentence, he heard what felt like a century-long judgment reaching its conclusion.
“I don’t like you anymore.”
Yu Suye clearly articulated her feelings, hearing her senior in front of her repeat, “Did you hear that? She said ‘don’t like you anymore,’ you can leave now.”
Lin Wushen knew he should just turn around and leave.
Maybe Xu Wanwan’s true background was far superior to Yu Suye’s.
Rationality urged him to maintain his last shred of dignity.
But in reality, moving from “being loved” to “not being loved,” Lin Wushen felt a deep sense of powerlessness. It was something he couldn’t choose; it felt as though he hadn’t lost anything yet also that he had missed something.
At that moment, Yu Suye noticed that Xu Wanwan was secretly shedding tears in a corner, quietly watching them.
Yu Suye was thinking about whether she should leave a “comforting” message for the big shot and seize the opportunity to insert herself into the situation.
After some hesitation, she sent a WeChat message to Bian Yuan.
“Jiuxiao, Nineteenth Floor.”
Having sent the message, Yu Suye then started chatting happily with Senior Gu, her expression filled with gratitude.
Senior Gu had rich entrepreneurial experience, and he spoke in a humorous and engaging manner, which Yu Suye found quite admirable to some extent.
What she didn’t know was that Bian Yuan had been standing outside for quite a while. Outside the bar, a tall and slender man was tugging on a little girl’s hand, teasing, “Look at your mom; how many men compete for her affection.”
The little one, isolated from the scene, didn’t seem troubled by her mother’s popularity. Instead, she tilted her chin up and asked, “What about you, Dad? Do you get jealous?”
