Feng Min took a step closer to Chi Yan, his fists tightly clenched at his side, but then quickly relaxed.
“Chi Yan,” he was about to say something when Chi Yan interrupted him.
“Feng Min, are you married?” Chi Yan threw out a question that Feng Min never expected.
“No.” Feng Min’s eyes darkened; he had deep, captivating eyes.
When such eyes focused on someone, it created the illusion that they were the one he loved.
Yes, he was the one he loved—his ex-boyfriend who had once discarded him.
“Do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend?” Chi Yan asked another similar question.
From Chi Yan’s smiling eyes, Feng Min clearly saw that there was no affection. He was unsure why Chi Yan asked these questions, but since Chi Yan inquired, he would respond.
“What about a lover?” Chi Yan raised an eyebrow slightly.
Feng Min shook his head.
“Where did you park your car?”
The topic changed too quickly, and Feng Min almost couldn’t keep up.
He glanced to the left side of the street, indicating the car parked at the curb.
Chi Yan’s lips curled into a smile. Without needing to look hard, he could easily spot several hotels nearby.
The fire within him was still burning, making Chi Yan’s throat feel slightly parched.
At the class reunion, he had consumed quite a bit of beer and liquor.
He knew that the thirst he felt wasn’t the ordinary kind.
Although Chi Yan hadn’t sought anyone these past few years, it didn’t mean he had no desires at all.
Tonight, he had drunk more than ever in recent years.
Suddenly, his body was filled with an intense craving.
This craving made Chi Yan want to find someone.
He didn’t want to go out and find someone unknown; he feared catching a disease.
If it turned out to be something starting with an “A,” he’d have to cry.
Just then, fortuitously, there was a prime specimen right beside him.
All he wanted was the other person’s body; they were very compatible physically, something Chi Yan had never denied.
The thought of a casual encounter with an ex-boyfriend he hadn’t seen in years suddenly crossed Chi Yan’s mind.
“That hotel over there looks good. Want to go together?” Chi Yan expressed his desire straightforwardly.
He didn’t explicitly say he wanted a casual encounter, but Feng Min was smart enough to understand the implication.
“Don’t misunderstand. It’s not just you; I could find someone else. Since you’re here, I won’t seek far,” he felt the need to clarify, as it sounded a bit deceptive.
Everyone was an adult, fully capable, and should take responsibility for their actions.
It was better to be clear in advance to avoid any misunderstandings later.
Feng Min’s expression finally showed some signs of turbulence; he repeated Chi Yan’s words: “You’re going to find someone else?”
The change in his tone was noticeable.
Chi Yan didn’t intentionally say anything provocative.
“If you agree, then I won’t look for anyone else.”
Chi Yan gave the choice to Feng Min.
They had been together before and knew each other well.
Chi Yan was confident that Feng Min would agree.
Feng Min, on the other hand, knew that if he refused, Chi Yan would really go find someone else.
“Alright.” Feng Min’s gaze turned sharp in an instant, like a giant net that enveloped Chi Yan.
Receiving a positive response, Chi Yan’s mood brightened, a broad smile lighting up his face.
“Then let’s go.” The spot they were in was right at the wind’s edge; the weather had already turned autumnal, with significant temperature differences between day and night.
Chi Yan hadn’t dressed warmly; he was only wearing a deep brown polo shirt, and the cold wind made his exposed skin break out in goosebumps.
However, the cold outside couldn’t extinguish the fire within Chi Yan.
As the fire burned hotter, his steps toward a nearby hotel quickened.
Feng Min stood behind Chi Yan for a moment, motionless.
If at that moment Chi Yan had turned around, he would have seen the manic, almost crazed look in Feng Min’s eyes, like a giant beast fixated on its most delectable prey.
Chi Yan was the feast for the beast.
With his ID always on him, Chi Yan booked a room with a king-sized bed.
When the front desk staff saw the two handsome men enter, they stared at their faces for a moment.
Seeing them check into the same room, the experienced staff quickly guessed what the two intended to do.
It was nearly midnight, not particularly early, and the front desk was feeling tired. However, upon seeing Chi Yan and Feng Min, the weariness vanished in an instant due to their attractiveness.
After processing their check-in, the staff secretly took a picture of their backs with their phone.
As for the front view, there were surveillance cameras, and they could always capture a few stills later.
They watched as the two entered the elevator, one standing on the left and the other on the right. If one didn’t know they had just checked in together, it would be hard to associate them with each other.
When the elevator doors closed, it blocked the front desk’s curious gaze.
The invitation had been initiated by Chi Yan. Inside the elevator, he stared at the doors ahead.
For a moment, he pondered what expression Feng Min would have if he told him he changed his mind and wanted to leave the hotel, returning home alone.
Just as that thought arose, Chi Yan chuckled.
Feng Min was the coward; he was not.
Since the agreement had been made, he wouldn’t go back on his word.
After all, it was just a temporary encounter with an ex-boyfriend—what was that?
At most, it could be seen as two lonely adults helping and comforting each other.
The elevator chimed as it stopped, and they stepped out into the hallway.
After walking a short distance, they found the corresponding room number.
Using the room card, Chi Yan slid it into the slot, and the lights in the room immediately turned on.
Standing at the entrance, he didn’t immediately change into slippers. Instead, Chi Yan slightly turned to look back.
“You shouldn’t have any diseases, right? I heard that people overseas are open-minded. Since you’ve been abroad for so many years, half your words are left unspoken,” Chi Yan’s gaze was fixed on Feng Min’s handsome face.
