The appointed time came quickly.
This mission wasn’t communicated through the system; it was Jiang Yu who made unilateral contact. Li Po understood, after all, Jiang Yu is a combat officer, he wields significant authority and isn’t bound by usual constraints. Since he was on a mission with Jiang Yu, he only took a dagger from the armory—it wasn’t much, but he had to keep up appearances.
Area S Starship Orbit.
Li Po spotted Jiang Yu from afar, who was standing there waiting for him.
It was their first mission together, and Li Po was somewhat reserved. He walked forward calmly and stopped in front of Jiang Yu, clearing his throat lightly: “Commander, good morning.”
Jiang Yu glanced at him lightly: “It’s afternoon.”
…Absolutely no sense of romance!
Fortunately, the atmosphere wasn’t as awkward as Li Po had imagined. He had thought that after his bold actions at the Black Tower, Jiang Yu would be colder towards him. Turned out it was still the same indifference, unchanged.
After boarding the starship, Li Po sat next to Jiang Yu again. He wasn’t sleepy this time, so he didn’t doze off or lean on Jiang Yu.
The seats in the starship weren’t too narrow, but with two men squeezed together, their legs inevitably touched. The black fabric of their clothes rubbed against each other, and their knees occasionally bumped. Gradually, Li Po felt somewhat hot.
Normally, Li Po wouldn’t care if it were someone else, wouldn’t even give them a second glance. But with Jiang Yu, he felt oddly uncomfortable. The sound of fabric rubbing was soft, yet it relentlessly tormented his ears.
Li Po slightly furrowed his brow. Just as he was about to move his leg away, Jiang Yu’s leg suddenly and unexpectedly withdrew.
Li Po: ??
He was instantly displeased. Was Jiang Yu disgusted by him? They were both men; what’s the big deal with legs touching, and yet he even dodged it. At that moment, Li Po didn’t realize his double standard. He lowered his eyelashes, expressionless, and moved his leg closer again.
The next second, Jiang Yu lifted his eyelids and glanced at the spot where their legs touched.
Li Po’s eyelids twitched subconsciously, he pursed his lips, ready to be pushed away. But contrary to his expectations, Jiang Yu said nothing, did nothing, just indifferently withdrew his gaze.
Li Po: …Tsk.
A few minutes later, the starship landed smoothly.
Li Po didn’t know the destination of this mission, he could only silently follow Jiang Yu. After disembarking, he looked around and found the place somewhat familiar—it was the gate of the Lower District of the human base.
The gate still had inspectors checking, and this time Li Po encountered no obstacles, passing through smoothly. After entering the Lower District, Li Po finally asked, “Commander, where are we heading?”
Jiang Yu: “The arena.”
As the words fell, Li Po was stunned. The arena?
But…
Li Po stared at Jiang Yu’s cold and indifferent side profile, unable to associate him with that kind of brutal fighting.
Before heading to the arena, both changed into casual clothes. Although Area S’s combat uniforms were understated, making it unlikely to be recognized, it was inconvenient to appear in crowded places. Li Po didn’t ask further, just obediently took the clothes and quietly changed.
The clothes were a bit small, squeezing his thighs and waist tightly. The fabric clung to his leg flesh uncomfortably. Moreover, the crotch of these trousers was low, slightly pinching.
Li Po had no complaints about changing clothes, but he was quite unhappy about the tight fit. He frowned at the tight fabric around his waist, his eyes drooping slightly in melancholy, “Commander, whose omega clothes did you give me to wear?”
Jiang Yu’s brows slightly furrowed, he stared at Li Po’s waist, puzzled: “Too tight?”
Li Po felt wronged; his waist was almost being cut off. Without thinking, he grabbed Jiang Yu’s hand and placed it on his lower back: “Feel it, it’s really tight.”
These clothes were chosen based on standard omega sizes, and Li Po, who regularly exercised, was slightly larger than the typical omega, naturally making the fit inappropriate. But Jiang Yu didn’t know, he was silent for a moment, his gaze shifting away from Li Po’s lower back, he said flatly, “I’ll go buy another set.”
“Never mind, it’s not worth the trouble,” Li Po didn’t want to fuss, he released Jiang Yu’s hand, going to adjust the hoodie, “It’s just a bit tight, no…”
He abruptly swallowed the rest of his words, Li Po’s eyes suddenly widened, his face flushed, and he sharply turned his head, his expression full of embarrassment as he looked towards Jiang Yu, “Where did your hand just… touch?”
The back of his hand still retained the feeling of elasticity, Jiang Yu’s expression paused. He watched Li Po silently, finally uttering a few words: “I’m going to buy clothes.”
After speaking, he turned and walked away crisply.
“…”
Li Po watched Jiang Yu’s retreating figure, his teeth itching with irritation. Although he knew Jiang Yu hadn’t done it on purpose, he had still been touched… and there, of all places…
Damn!
Jiang Yu moved quickly, and soon Li Po had a new set of clothes in hand, this time they fit. This set had a hoodie just like the previous one, which was very large. When worn, it covered the top half of Li Po’s face, leaving only a sliver of his pale chin visible, making it impossible for others to see his face clearly.
Li Po concealed his slightly red face, tugged at the hoodie, and nodded to Jiang Yu, “Let’s go.”
Jiang Yu watched his face hidden in the shadows, merely hummed lightly in response.

At the arena.
Entering the arena, a heavy and tense atmosphere hit them. The air was thick with the smell of blood, which Li Po found somewhat unbearable. Fortunately, he had taken the pheromone immunity drug Jiang Yu had prepared for him in advance, otherwise he might have been overwhelmed by the mixed pheromones.
In the center of the arena was a large platform where two men were grappling with each other. Both were completely bare, their bodies covered in blood, their exposed skin marred with wounds, beaten to a pulp.
Yet the crowd around them was extremely excited, as if they found it not thrilling enough, they occasionally threw star coins towards the center of the platform, shouting:
“Hit him harder!”
“Did you not eat enough? Why so weak?!”
“Weiyar, kill him, and these 300 star coins are yours!”
“Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!”
Only 300 star coins? Li Po was incredulous as he intently observed the two men on the platform.
Just as he was focused on the fighters, a cold voice suddenly came from beside his ear: “Does it bother you?”
No.
While the scene was somewhat bloody, it wasn’t anything new for Li Po. He was about to shake his head when he suddenly thought of something, his eyes narrowed. Then, he reached out tentatively and touched the hand of the person next to him, slightly fearful: “A little.”
Jiang Yu watched him for a while, his expression unreadable. The next second, he withdrew his gaze, his voice calm: “Then let’s go up.”
Go up? Li Po looked up.
Just one look, and he was instantly stunned. When they had first come in, his attention had been captured by the two people in the center of the platform, completely missing that there was a second floor. Most importantly, the second floor was suspended in a semicircle above the arena, with people standing on it.
Those people looked down on everything on the first floor from above, even extending their hands to hang their wine glasses in the air, then flipping their wrists—
The next second, an innocent man on the first floor was unfortunate enough to get doused with wine.
But instead of getting angry, the man licked the wine off his clothes, smiling obsequiously at the culprit.
Seeing this, the wine-pourer looked away contemptuously, his eyes returning to the men fighting in the center, a clear malice and mockery in his gaze.
Li Po resisted slightly, asking reluctantly: “Do we have to go up there?”
“Yes,” Jiang Yu didn’t give him room to choose.
“Alright then…”
Second floor of the arena.
Compared to the first floor, the second floor’s decor was obviously more luxurious. The Persian carpets were rustic yet elegant. Li Po stepped on them, walking step by step to the railing, looking down at the two men fighting below.
Indeed, from this angle, the view was more thrilling, the visual impact stronger, and even the direction of the blood splatter was clearly visible. Li Po felt uncomfortable, he withdrew his gaze and silently looked towards Jiang Yu.
Meanwhile, a man approached them, obviously there to see Jiang Yu.
The man clearly knew Jiang Yu; he walked up, about to greet him, but paused abruptly upon seeing the omega next to Jiang Yu.
Then, he looked at Jiang Yu hesitantly and asked, “Who is this?”
Jiang Yu’s expression remained unchanged, he didn’t answer, just said: “Get him a private room.”
The man seemed to listen to Jiang Yu a lot, he didn’t ask further, simply handed Li Po a pass card.
Li Po was puzzled as he lowered his eyes to take it, unsure of what Jiang Yu was planning. The man didn’t know either, but he still respectfully led Li Po to a private room, opening the door for him to enter.
Once inside, Li Po turned around and suddenly realized that Jiang Yu had no intention of coming in. He furrowed his brows slightly: “Aren’t you coming in?”
“No, I have things to handle,” Jiang Yu’s expression was indifferent, it seemed he had planned this all along, there was no need to explain to Li Po.
Li Po was upset, wasn’t it agreed that they would be on a mission together? Booking a room for him to stay in and then running off, what was this?
But with others present, he didn’t make a scene or question it, he just coldly “Oh”ed, and then closed the door of the private room in front of the remaining two.
Outside, the man and the door looked at each other.
“Why did you bring an omega this time? You never bring anyone else before, is he your new teammate?” the man asked cautiously.
“No,” Jiang Yu’s voice was flat, without any fluctuation, “Take me there.”
•
Arena basement.
Jiang Yu, wearing black leather gloves, looked emotionlessly at the bloody figure on the ground. Beside him was his usual dark gold handgun.
The man who had previously stood by his side now had a completely different expression, the gentleness gone without a trace, only decisiveness and ruthlessness remained in his eyes. He held a long whip in his hand, the whip covered with barbs and dripping with blood, all from the man on the ground.
“Speak, where exactly is your experimental factory built?! You should know, our methods are no less than the Mousha Society, if you dare to hide anything, that row behind you… I don’t mind making you try each one.”
The rack opposite was fully loaded, all with various brutal torture devices.
The man on the ground, his face filled with fear, his body battered as if he might faint any second, caught sight of Jiang Yu standing up, as if he had encountered a terrifying ghost, his body shaking violently, he wailed continuously:
“Speak, I’ll speak!!!”
