Jiang Ning remembered that the air force member who died said that the mission of the eastern military base was to rebuild a new home. 

They built a strong navy and created the strongest materials and marine construction equipment but encountered storms on the way to find a new home and sacrificed many elites. 

They passed through this sea area and fought against storms, which caused them to lose not only survivors but also supplies that sank into the sea, making them impossible to recover. 

Jiang Ning couldn’t help but think of the sea storms she had witnessed and couldn’t imagine how they survived. 

Against nature’s wrath, no matter how powerful humans are, they are just like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.  

Nineteen containers, each with a different number, all equipped with sensing locks that cannot be opened with a crowbar, but it was certain that what was inside was either special building materials or marine construction equipment. 

These things are useless to Jiang Ning, but they were crucial for the new homeland. 

She had no idea how to handle them for the time being. 

At night, after brushing her teeth and applying skin care products, Jiang Ning turned off the lights and went to bed. 

Huo Yishen held her waist and spoke after a long while, “Anning, how about we take a trip to the new homeland?” 

“Do you want to settle down there?”  

“The container we salvaged today may contain screws or rivets. It may seem insignificant, but they could be important parts; without them, things can’t move.”

“We’re currently drifting with no specific destination, so going there won’t hurt.”

“If it is suitable, we can stay. If not, we can just leave the containers behind and look for a someplace later. What do you think?” 

Jiang Ning thought for a while, “Okay.” 

She understood Huo Yishen; a person can be unkind but still needs to maintain the compassion that humanity should have. Otherwise, what’s the difference between them and a monster? 

“Still, we might not be able to leave until tomorrow.” 

Jiang Ning explained, “The fleet of the Eastern Military Base should be very large. They encountered a storm in this sea area, and there should be more than one container that fell and sank. Since we’re going, we should search the surrounding area thoroughly.” 

“What if an important part is really missing? Do we have to ask them to come back to find it?” 

Finding a needle in a haystack in the sea is no easy task; she had just happened to discover it, and with space, she could successfully salvage them.

Huo Yishen hugged her tightly, “Okay, I’ll follow your arrangements.” 

Jiang Ning listened to his breathing and heartbeat and gradually relaxed. 

It took three days for the two of them to drive the submarine and travel around the surrounding seas. They really made new discoveries. While sailing in the deep seabed, the sonar found more than a dozen obstacles in front and behind, and three of them were found to be the drop points of the container. 

They confirmed that three of the locations were where the containers had fallen. 

Fortunately, the place where it fell was not particularly deep. 

It seems that the collision of the plates not only shattered and submerged the land but also filled most of the ocean’s ravines. 

The two of them, fully equipped with professional diving gear, swam towards the containers, one in front and one behind.  

The marine life was vibrant and colorful; seeing the oddly-shaped creatures approaching, the smaller ones quickly swam away. 

There were also some bold ones that dared to come close, but they did not attack. 

After bringing the remaining containers into the space, Jiang Ning was just about to swim upwards when Huo Yishen’s sharp eyes noticed a bull shark swimming over from a distance, he quickly pulled the rope to warn her. 

Jiang Ning swiftly pulled him into the space. 

After resting in the space for about ten minutes, they emerged, and the bull shark had already disappeared. 

In a good mood, she felt that the underwater creatures were incredibly beautiful, unlike their previous ugly appearance. 

After diving three times, they had salvaged a total of three containers, bringing the total to twenty-six. 

They expanded their search one more time but didn’t make any new discoveries. 

Huo Yishen set to the new coordinates and smiled at Doudou and Coke, “We’re going to visit our new homeland. Are you happy?” 

Doudou smiled, “Brother, will we meet Brother Xiao Mu and Uncle Qin when we go to the new homeland?” 

Huo Yishen didn’t know, but it’s always good to have hope, “Maybe.” 

“Woof!” It was thinking about Ah Ben. 

Seeing the two excited, Jiang Ning couldn’t help but sigh; humans are indeed social creatures. 

Truthfully, she had some expectations and unexpectedly thought of several people. 

A subtle sense of longing began to form.  

The road ahead is dangerous and unknown, but the coordinates were certain. Now, they just had to ride the winds and break the waves. 

After the collision of the plates, the ocean currents became intricate and complex. Some sea areas were calm, while others were turbulent. 

Huo Yishen took his time, moving slowly and steadily without rushing or fighting against the bad weather. He often made long detours and followed the steady ocean currents. 

On the 9th day of their journey, 2688 encountered another submarine from the same base, 0945. 

The southern base has produced nearly 3,000 special submarines. As long as you travel in the ocean for a long time, the chance of meeting others is still quite high. 

Whether it was 0945’s good luck or the advanced technology, their fire seed box is still intact.  

Having seen the cruelty of natural disasters, even fellow submarines had to exchange secret signals when they meet. 

The captain of 0945 is named Zhou. So far, three of his crew members have died: one due to injuries and excessive blood loss during a tsunami, another died of illness, and another suffered from deep-sea claustrophobia; while surfacing for air, he became mentally unstable and jumped into the sea to commit suicide. 

Of the remaining 12 crew members, several had already been worn down by disasters, and no one knew how much longer they could hold on. 

However, when they learned about the coordinates of the new homeland, their dark, lifeless eyes brightened. 

They still didn’t want to give up. 

Captain Zhou invited 2688 to accompany them, and after checking the remaining plan, Jiang Ning readily agreed. 

The two submarines swam side by side through the deep blue sea. 

Although they couldn’t meet at the seabed, it seemed they were both quite happy. Doudou would shine a light at window 2 every day, signaling to 0945 that it was time for meals. 

Jiang Ning was also in a good mood. 

When they surfaced to meet, Captain Zhou said that when the base warned that the asteroid was about to collide. They rushed to the deep-sea dock in a hurry. Not long after the submarine entered the sea, a tsunami hit. 

She remembered that Liu Cheng said that Zhang Chao and Lu Yu were the first batch to enter the sea. If even the second batch, 0945 could survive, so they should be fine. 

The Eastern military base must have dispatched many pilots, and more people would learn about the coordinates. 

If they were lucky, they might either have already reached the new homeland or be on their way there.  

Whether it was due to the end of the tectonic plate collision or the water masses continuously healing themselves under the influence of rotation and revolution, the disasters they encountered in the following journey were not as frequent or severe as before.  

One time, the weather changed dramatically at sea, and the waves were still quite high. However, after spending a long time in the ocean, they had gained plenty of experience dealing with storms and waves. They quickly escaped the turbulent area while adding weight to enhance their resistance to the waves. 

After successfully resisting, the two submarines surfaced for fresh air. 

Captain Zhou was also a student of Instructor Xu and was a senior of Jiang Ning and Huo Yishen. 

During their break, she handed them a few pounds of mung bean sprouts. “They’ve grown too much; could you help us consume some?” 

It had been so long since 0945 had tasted fresh bean sprouts.  

Unable to refuse her kindness, they gratefully accepted and planned to take them back to mix with corn porridge. 

During their chat, Jiang Ning couldn’t help but ask, “Do you know how the senior officials of the military base evacuated?”
