The Secret Behind the Veil Chapter 4

Chapter 4: “I Did Have Plans for Him”

The maids exchanged glances, then bowed their heads respectfully and cautiously replied, “The young master indeed brought a woman…”

“Hmph, I want to see what kind of woman could make Cousin, bring her here,” a girl’s arrogant voice sounded.

Moments later, Tang Zhishu who was standing opposite the living room door, saw two girls walk in.

Upon seeing them, Tang Zhishu paused slightly in surprise.

She stared at the two girls, who looked like older than eighteen, realizing that they were twins.

As Yan Bing and Yan Luo entered and spotted Tang Zhishu standing opposite them, they too froze in place.

This woman in front of them… was stunning.

Her fair skin, long black hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall, delicate eyebrows, and captivating fox-like eyes beneath them. Her small, exquisite nose and cherry-red lips, along with her tall and slender figure, were all strikingly beautiful.

“Sister, she’s so pretty…” Yan Luo murmured, her expression dazed by Tang Zhishu’s beauty.

Even Yan Bing, who was typically cold and indifferent, had a flash of surprise in her eyes.

“Pfft.”

Tang Zhishu couldn’t help but laugh at Yan Luo’s expression and words.

Snapping back to her senses, Yan Luo became furious and glared at Tang Zhishu in embarrassment.

She walked over, crossing her arms haughtily, and stood before Tang Zhishu looking down at her. “Are you the woman Cousin brought home?”

Seeing her attitude, Tang Zhishu raised an eyebrow.

Clearly, these two weren’t here with good intentions.

But that was fine. She had a lot of pent-up frustration to vent anyway.

With a lazy smile, Tang Zhishu casually lifted her slender, pale hand to tuck her hair behind her ear. “If the ‘Cousin’ you’re talking about is that guy Yan Kui, then yes, that would be me.”

Yan Luo immediately frowned, speaking arrogantly, “You bad woman! You must have wicked plans for my cousin. I demand that you leave immediately and never come back!”

Tang Zhishu looked at Yan Luo with a glint of mischief in her eyes.

Instead of being angry at her attitude or words, Tang Zhishu turned and leisurely walked over to a European-style sofa. She gracefully sat down and poured herself a cup of tea, taking a sip with an elegant motion.

Her demeanor clearly showed she had no interest in arguing with them.

Seeing this, Yan Luo grew even more enraged. “A woman like you isn’t worthy of even touching Cousin’s teacup. Do you know how expensive that cup is? You couldn’t pay for it even if you sold yourself.”

Upon hearing that, Tang Zhishu glanced at the teacup in her hand, easily recognizing its value.

“Oh? Is it really that expensive?” she asked with a mock-surprised expression.

Yan Luo stared at her with disdain, sneering, “Of course! A low-class woman like you couldn’t possibly understand.”

“Really? Using such an expensive teacup for tea… it would be a shame if it accidentally got broken,” Tang Zhishu replied, feigning regret.

Just as Yan Luo was about to say something, Tang Zhishu suddenly “accidentally” dropped the teacup, shattering it into pieces.

“Oh no, what should I do? I accidentally broke it,” Tang Zhishu said with a sorrowful look.

But inside, she was thoroughly pleased, hoping this would infuriate Yan Kui even more.

Yan Luo’s eyes widened. Of course, she could tell that Tang Zhishu had done it on purpose. Furious, she was about to step forward and teach her a lesson.

But just then, Yan Bing, who had remained silent, grabbed her sister’s arm. Her expression was cold, her voice even colder. “Luo, don’t act too impulsive.”

“But, Sister, she’s too much! We can’t let a bad woman like her get close to Cousin,” Yan Luo said angrily.

Yan Bing stepped forward, her icy, emotionless eyes locking onto Tang Zhishu , who sat calmly on the sofa. In a cold voice, she said, “Name your terms. What will it take for you to leave Cousin alone?”

Tang Zhishu raised an eyebrow as she looked at the twins in front of her.

They were identical in height and appearance, but their personalities couldn’t be more different. One was arrogant and spoiled, while the other was cold and emotionless.

Tang Zhishu smiled and said, “Since you both say I have ulterior motives for Yan Kui, why would I ever leave him? You’re right, I admit it. I do have designs on him. I’m after his money, his body, his face. I want him to love me so much that he’d rather lock me up here than let me go.”

She sighed lightly, seeing the disbelief on their faces. “So, if your cousin loves me this much, even though I don’t like him at all, what does it matter? He’s rich, powerful, has a great body, and looks amazing. Do you really think I’d want to leave him?”

Yan Luo was utterly stunned. She stared at Tang Zhishu in disbelief, pointing a finger at her. “Y-You bad woman! How dare you treat our cousin like that? There’s no way he would fall for someone like you! He’d never love a bad woman like you.”

To her, her cousin was practically a god, as he was to her sister and their two older brothers in the family. Hearing this woman speak so flippantly about him infuriated her.

Even Yan Bing now had a cold expression as she glared at Tang Zhishu.

Noticing their disbelief, Tang Zhishu ’s mood only lightened further. It was almost like she wanted to prove something as she pulled down the bathrobe draped over her shoulder, revealing a large section of her fair skin.

But her skin wasn’t just smooth—it was marked with purplish-blue bruises, clear signs of something intimate.

“Look, what do you think this is? Just two nights ago, I slept with your cousin. These are his marks, left on me personally,” Tang Zhishu said with an exasperated yet sweet expression.

Yan Luo and Yan Bing’s faces immediately changed when they saw the suggestive marks on her skin.

Yan Luo instantly felt like her cousin had been defiled by this bad woman. In a fit of rage, she charged at Tang Zhishu, determined to teach her a lesson.

Even Yan Bing didn’t stop her this time, glaring coldly at Tang Zhishu .

As Yan Luo’s punch came toward her, Tang Zhishu ’s lips curled into a smile. She easily dodged the attack with a light movement.

In the next moment, Tang Zhishu swiftly grabbed Yan Luo’s wrist and twisted it forcefully.

“Ah! Let go! Let go, you evil woman, it hurts so much!” Yan Luo, pampered all her life, immediately began to scream in pain.

Seeing her sister in pain, Yan Bing’s face turned icy, her delicate features becoming terrifyingly cold.

In the blink of an eye, Yan Bing launched herself at Tang Zhishu like a fierce beast.

Tang Zhishu paused for a moment, quickly realizing that Yan Bing was much more skilled in combat than her sister.

But even so, Yan Bing was no match for Tang Zhishu .

After all, Tang Zhishu had gone through hellish, devilish training that few could endure. She had spent years on the edge of danger, surviving countless life-or-death situations. Against these two, she effortlessly neutralized their attacks and soon had both of them under control.

The servants standing at the door were frozen in shock.

Tang Zhishu , still holding the twins down, turned to the servants and said, “You two, go get me some ropes.”

The maids, terrified, trembled at her words, not knowing what to do.

Two of the maids looked like they were about to cry. “M-Miss, we… we don’t dare…”

Tang Zhishu pretended to put on a fierce expression and threatened, “If you don’t get them, believe me, I’ll have Yan Kui fire you both.”

“You evil woman! If any of you dare help her, I won’t let you off!” Yan Luo, tears streaming down her face from the pain, angrily glared at them.

The maids were even more terrified, their legs shaking as they stood frozen in fear.
