“I still have a special bouquet to give to you, brother,” Song Wenjing said.
He lifted his hand, biting the corner of the bow tied with a necktie, slowly undoing the restraint.
It didn’t seem intentional, but Shi Shaoyu had the feeling that Song Wenjing had learned how to seduce him.
It wasn’t until a large bouquet was thrust in front of his eyes that Shi Shaoyu snapped back to reality.
He looked at the “flowers,” and a blush gradually spread across his fair face.
They were all condoms! Different scents, different shapes—a whole huge bouquet of them!
Even Shi Shaoyu, who was usually calm and composed, felt embarrassed.
“You… you’re unbelievable.”
He didn’t know what words could describe Song Wenjing anymore.
Song Wenjing wrapped his arm around Shi Shaoyu’s waist and pulled him into his embrace.
“Let’s use up this bouquet together,” he chuckled. “Pick the one you like the most, brother.”
“You choose.”
The flowers smelled sweet tonight, and so did the person.
By the time the sun was high in the sky, Song Wenjing was the first to wake up.
He placed the tie clip, which he had bought for a high price at auction, on the bedside table, then headed downstairs to make breakfast for Shi Shaoyu.
Song Wenjing, bare-chested, opened the bedroom door and found himself staring at Shi Shaoyu’s parents, who had just walked in.
They locked eyes from a distance, and the house fell so silent it felt devoid of life.
Song Wenjing held his breath, not daring to make a sound.
Trembling, he lifted his hands to cover his chest, offering a sheepish smile.
“Good morning, Uncle, Auntie.”
Shi Shaoyu’s parents, seeing a half-naked man covered in marks walk out of their eldest son’s room and greet them, almost fainted on the spot.
It was Shi’s mother who maintained her composure. Though her mind was a whirlwind, she still responded.
“Mm,” she said, clutching Shi’s father’s arm as they both sat on the couch.
Shi’s father winced in pain, closing his eyes in resignation. “You should put on some clothes and wake Shaoyu.”
“Wait, forget it,” his lips trembled. “Let him rest.”
They got along quite well.
At least, that’s what Song Wenjing thought.
When Shi Shaoyu walked out and saw the harmonious scene, he couldn’t help but pause.
“Mom, Dad, why did you come back so suddenly?”
Shi’s father sighed, “We wanted to surprise you.”
His eyes fell on Song Wenjing, and he closed his eyes again in despair.
“Never thought you’d have your own surprise hidden at home.”
Shi Shaoyu naturally sat down beside Song Wenjing.
“What surprise? This is my boyfriend, Song Wenjing.” Shi Shaoyu’s eyes softened. “I haven’t had the chance to tell you, but I hope you weren’t too shocked.”
“It’s fine, really,” Shi’s father said blankly, clearly still in shock.
From his expression, it was clear the news had hit him hard.
Shi Shaoyu turned to his mother for help. “Mom—”
Shi’s mother sighed, “Don’t worry. Your father and I won’t stand in the way of your love.”
“We were more afraid you’d marry someone you don’t love and be unhappy for life.”
Song Wenjing immediately chimed in, “Don’t worry, Auntie. I’ll treat Shi-ge well. If he says go east, I won’t dare go west.”
“I believe you,” Shi’s mother smiled. “Shi Bai has mentioned you before. You seem like a good kid.”
Though Song Wenjing doubted Shi Bai ever spoke well of him to his mother, he could only nod and smile in this situation.
Feeling Shi’s father’s gaze, Song Wenjing politely looked over.
Shi’s father immediately recoiled, as if burned, and turned away.
Just then, Shi Bai came back, with Shen Cheng in tow.
“Mom! Dad! You’re back!”
Shi’s father opened his mouth to say something but paused when he noticed the red marks on Shi Bai’s collar.
He glanced at Shen Cheng, who gave an apologetic smile.
Everyone in the room noticed the subtle exchange and couldn’t help but cough.
Shi’s father suddenly stood up and headed for the door. “I must have entered the wrong house. I’m going outside to clear my head.”
Only Shi Bai was clueless, plopping down on the couch with a hiss of discomfort.
“What’s wrong with Dad? He’s acting weird.”
Song Wenjing squeezed Shi Shaoyu’s hand, coughing lightly.
“It’s okay. Your father just needs time to adjust.”
“Adjust to what?” Shi Bai blinked in confusion.
Song Wenjing chuckled, “To the fact that he has two sons and still no grandchildren.”
