Beauty with Brilliance: Drawing Historical Cards to Conquer the World Chapter 5.2

It won’t take long to get out of the city, so they could wait to talk until they were outside.

With this in mind, Zhao Kuo chose to stay quiet.

The carriage selected by Bai Qi was the one usually used by King Rui, a favored member of the royal family. The guards at the city gate all recognized this carriage.

Therefore, the guards didn’t conduct any basic interrogation, and Ying Yue, Bai Qi, Zhao Kuo, and their group left the city without any trouble.

This day was probably the most unfortunate moment in Ying Yue’s life. To protect the daughter who had been mistakenly taken away, her biological parents sent her to the mansion of a powerful prince, not caring about her life or death.

But this day was also the luckiest moment in Ying Yue’s life. As the saying goes, “Misfortune may turn out to be a blessing in disguise.” At her most desperate moment, she had the mysterious adventure of the “system.” The invincible and undefeated general summoned by drawing a card helped her escape.

From this day on, Ying Yue’s fate took a turn.

From now on, the weak but extremely beautiful girl will officially start a life that will be praised as a “legend” by future generations, ultimately becoming an emperor and holding a ceremony to ascend the throne.

After leaving the city gate for a while, Bai Qi stopped the carriage somewhere in the wild. The young man lifted the curtain of the carriage and asked the girl a question.

“Miss Ying, can you explain the distribution of countries, states, and counties in this world and other related things?”

In fact, Bai Qi wanted to ask about the current situation and the general state of the world. But Ying Yue didn’t understand these things, so he didn’t bother the little girl who lacked self-confidence.

“Yes, I know this.” The girl felt a little excited when she found the answer, so she quickly cheered up.

However, when she raised her head, the complicated hair accessories on her head were so heavy that the little girl twisted her neck.

Seeing this, Zhao Kuo, who felt his neck ache from looking at the pile of gold and silver ornaments on Ying Yue’s head, hurriedly said, “Take these things off.”

Then he asked again, “Can you do it yourself?”

“Should… Is it possible?”

With a slightly uncertain voice, Ying Yue raised her hand to untie the hair ornaments. Then… she accidentally pulled a hair that was caught on a hairpin.

The pain made the little girl scream, and tears welled up in her eyes.

Seeing Ying Yue crying, Zhao Kuo, who had never seen a girl cry, became flustered. He didn’t know whether to comfort her or wipe her tears, so he looked to the undefeated Qin God of War for help.

Bai Qi had never seen such a scene before: “…”

But the God of War is still the God of War. Even in unfamiliar situations, he can remain calm and reliable. Bai Qi walked straight to Ying Yue without saying a word, signaling her to take her hand off the hair accessory.

Then he carefully untangled the hair wrapped around the hairpin bit by bit, took off the hairpin, and removed the other hair accessories from Ying Yue’s head.

As the weight on her head decreased, the beautiful girl’s hair, which had been tightly bound, gradually fell down and spread over her shoulders.

Bai Qi felt it wasn’t polite to leave the girl’s hair down like this, so after hesitating for a moment, he smoothed Ying Yue’s hair with his hand, finally letting it hang loosely on top, while braiding the end into a not-so-standard braid.

Whether they were taking off hair accessories or braiding hair, Ying Yue and Bai Qi were always very close to each other.

Bai Qi stood in front of her, his chest just a little distance away. She could smell a faint scent of blood on him from the massacre at the mansion earlier.

But strangely, Ying Yue didn’t feel afraid.

In fact, she even felt a sense of security.

“Do you need me to help you take off your earrings?” he asked. Ying Yue quickly shook her head, “No, no, I can do it myself.”

Then she whispered, “Bai Qi, thank you.”

“Nothing.”

It wasn’t until Ying Yue stopped crying that Zhao Kuo, who had been pretending to be dead under a tree after scolding Bai Qi, dared to look over. When he saw Ying Yue, he choked.

“Ahem, ahem, sister, your hair…” It’s too messy.

He didn’t dare to say the last part under the watchful eyes of the Great Qin God of War, whose intentions he couldn’t read.

At that moment, Zhao Kuo truly realized how handsome his young master was and how beautiful his features were.

To be fair, Bai Qi’s hair-braiding technique was quite unusual.

Thanks to Ying Yue’s beauty, she managed to pull off the hairstyle Bai Qi created. Even the somewhat fluffy and messy hair made her look uniquely lovely.

As soon as Zhao Kuo spoke, Bai Qi felt speechless.

Ying Yue sensed that Zhao Kuo might get pinned down again. Without caring that she was still removing her earrings, she quickly started asking the question Bai Qi had just asked her.

“Our dynasty is Zhou, and our surname is Jiang. We have been established for 300 years. We are the only country in the Central Plains. Our territory is vast and is divided into nine states.”

As Ying Yue spoke, Bai Qi’s attention returned to her. Meanwhile, the young man under the tree next to him straightened his expression and listened attentively.

    Interesting story.
I’m curious how our FL will adapt. She really doesn’t seem to have the qualities of a leader at all.
