Chapter 239: Xiao Mo Was Really Angry

As the group pushed open the door with their large bags, the triplets spotted their little uncle walking ahead. They dropped the toy they were holding and ran straight toward him.

Xiao Mo quickly stepped back a few paces and warned the others, “Don’t come over! Little Uncle is really dirty. Wait until he takes a shower before you give him a hug!”

Niu Niu and Pi Pi didn’t care about that at all; they rushed over and wrapped their arms around his legs, saying, “Little Uncle, where did you go? Why didn’t you take us with you?”

“You’re all still too little. When you grow up, I’ll take you along. Now let go of me; I need to go take a shower.”

Tang Tang, seeing there was no one else to play with, walked over to her father and second uncle and smiled, “Daddy, Second Uncle!”

Xu An wanted to hug his niece too, but then he remembered he had been on a train for several days and wasn’t sure what he smelled like. So he hesitated to step forward.

Niu Niu and Pi Pi ran over and snuggled up to Xu An again.

Xu Ning came out of the room and said to Niu Pi Tang, “Let go of your uncle and daddy! They need to go take a shower first. You can play with them later.”

Lu Xiaotang set the bags down inside the house, and Xu Ning hurriedly opened them up to organize everything, concerned that the heat might have damaged the contents.

One bag was filled entirely with various snacks, all special products from Beijing.

After thinking for a moment, she went back inside and took out a stack of paper to wrap the snacks. She didn’t wrap too many in each, just five or six pieces per sheet.

Once the three of them finished their showers and ate some noodles, she had wrapped a lot of snacks.

Xiao Mo curiously asked, “Sister, why are you wrapping them up?”

“Xiao Mo, tomorrow take your little backpack and go to the village. Give a bag of these snacks to the grandmas you’re close with, as well as the aunties and your good friends. Let them all have a taste.”

“Oh, sister, I have so many good friends! There’s no way this is enough to share! These snacks are for Grandpa Qi and Niu Pi Tang, brought by our parents and Uncle Lu and Aunt Lu.

Just give me a few pieces to take over for my brothers to try. As for the aunties I’m close with, I’ll show them my appreciation once I start earning money.”

“Xiao Mo, Grandpa Qi and Niu Pi Tang can’t eat that much anyway. I only packed four or five pieces in each bag so they can taste it. It’s just a small gesture from you.”

Over the past few years, Xiao Mo hadn’t been bullied in the village, and he was truly grateful to those aunties. If it hadn’t been for them, he wouldn’t have had such an easy life.

Xiao Mo looked at the backpack full of wrapped snacks, said nothing, and began to loosen his belt.

The others who were helping with the packing stood stunned by his actions.

“Xiao Mo, what are you doing taking off your pants? Do you need to go to the bathroom? Hurry up and go if you do! You’re so big now; you shouldn’t be doing that here!”

As soon as Xu An finished speaking, he received a glare from Xiao Mo.

“Second Brother, what are you talking about? Who would pee here?”

He then loosened his belt and reached inside, rummaging around for a while before pulling out five large yuan bills.

He handed the money to Xu Ning and said, “Sister, this is my travel money that Mom gave me when I came here. She was worried I would get separated from Second Brother. You take it and buy some snacks for my nephews and niece.”

Xu Ning looked at him, then at the money in his hand, wondering where this kid had pulled that money from just now.

She had initially thought about telling him to keep it for himself but then remembered that he was still quite young and that carrying so much money wasn’t safe.

Just as she was about to take it, Xu An asked, “Xiao Mo, didn’t Mom sew the money into your underwear? Don’t tell me you didn’t you change your underwear after taking a shower?”

Xiao Mo’s face flushed red with anger. “Second Brother, who are you saying didn’t change their underwear?”

After saying that, he ran outside to the laundry basket and pulled out the pair of underwear he had just changed out of, holding it up for Xu An to see.

“Look at this! This is my changed underwear! You think everyone is as dirty as you? Hmph!”

Xu An recoiled in disgust, moving away from him and keeping his distance from the underwear.

“Fine, you changed it. Why are you so angry? Hurry up and take your underwear away!”

Lu Xiaotang and Xu Ning both stifled their laughter, afraid that the kid would get embarrassed and angry later.

Niu Niu and Pi Pi saw their uncle holding a piece of cloth and wanted to play too, so they reached out to grab it.

Lu Xiaotang quickly stopped them and cleared his throat. “Xiao Mo, take it outside. I’ll wash it later.”

Xiao Mo shot Xu An another glare and huffed before going out.

“Pfft.” Xu Ning couldn’t hold back her laughter any longer.

Once she started, everyone else burst into laughter as well.

Seeing the adults laughing heartily, Niu Pi Tang joined in with their own giggles.

Xiao Mo heard them from outside, pouting and sulking.

He looked at the money in his hand, deciding to keep it for himself instead of giving it to his sister. He wanted to save it to spend on his future wife.

Seeing that he hadn’t come back in, Xu Ning guessed he was upset, so she took out the things she had prepared for Grandpa Qi and handed them to him.

“Xiao Mo, hurry and go see Grandpa Qi. He has been mentioning you these past few days and really misses you. He hasn’t been eating as much as before.”

At this, he forgot all about being angry and quickly took the items from her. “Sister, why didn’t you say so earlier? I’m going to see Grandpa Qi now!”

Niu Pi Tang, seeing that he was about to go out, hurriedly followed him, running after him.
