Chapter 96: Shall We Take a Bath Together?
Seeing Fei Li standing dazed by the edge of the trap, Luo Sang leaned over to take a look.
Just one glance, and Luo Sang’s expression changed.
At the bottom of the trap were sharpened wooden stakes of varying lengths, and not only that, some live scorpions were glaring at them with their pincers raised.
Recalling the time he was poisoned by a venomous scorpion, Luo Sang clenched his fists, his eyes filled with hatred.
“Where did they find these venomous scorpions?”
Fei Li shook his head, averting his gaze. “This trap is similar to the one we encountered outside the cave, but this one is better concealed, indicating they put a lot of effort into it.”
Indeed, they even brought in venomous scorpions, they were clearly intent on putting them to death.
“Do you think it’s the lions?” Fei Li suddenly asked.
“Whoever it is, I won’t let them off the hook for destroying the wolf tribe’s water source.”
After surveying their surroundings, the two filled the trap with dirt and continued upstream.
After a while, the sound of gushing water reached them, prompting them to jog ahead.
After climbing over a slope, they came upon clear river water.
Looking at the water flowing to the other side, Fei Li couldn’t help but speak up, “These people are really putting in a lot of effort, they even thought of rerouting the river as a nasty trick.”
It turned out that the main reason for the dry river downstream was that someone had blocked the river with stones upstream and then dug a ditch at the other end to divert the water elsewhere.
Luo Sang snorted coldly, stepped forward to remove the large stones blocking the river, and used them to block the ditch.
After doing all this, the river water flowed back in its original direction.
“Now it’s good, the tribe has water, and my rice will be saved.”
Fei Li, concerned about the rice, didn’t think much more about it and pulled Luo Sang back downstream.
However, Luo Sang showed no intention of leaving.
“What’s wrong?” Fei Li asked, puzzled.
“These people are too hateful, I can’t let them off easily.”
Fei Li also found the person doing these things detestable, but he still couldn’t be sure it was definitely the lions.
They couldn’t just rush to the lions and hold them accountable, could they?
He looked at Luo Sang with confusion. “What do you plan to do?”
Luo Sang curled his lips into a faint smile and suddenly lifted his head to affectionately pinch the tip of Fei Li’s nose.
This casual gesture made Fei Li feel flustered, he didn’t realize his face was turning warm.
“Learn from you.”
Learn from me?
As he mulled over Luo Sang’s words, he suddenly had a revelation. “You mean we should wait here?”
Luo Sang nodded with a smile, for now, it was the only way.
Since they had set such a trap, they would naturally come to check on their results, and Luo Sang believed they would be able to wait for them here.
Seeing Luo Sang’s firm attitude, Fei Li simply sat down on a nearby stone, ready to accompany his companion no matter the danger.
Meanwhile, Mao Li, who had been waiting downstream, was overjoyed to see the dry river once again flowing with water.
However, after waiting a long time without seeing the two return, Mao Li anxiously came looking for them.
Upon seeing the two leisurely sitting on the stone, Mao Li approached in surprise. “Lord Luo Sang, what are you two doing…?” The water was back, what were these two still doing here?
Fei Li glanced at Luo Sang and spoke first to explain, “You should go back to the tribe! We’re waiting here for whoever tampered with the trap, we might be able to find the real culprit behind the damage to the rice.”
Based on the current situation, it seemed the rice was not destroyed by Aola.
Mao Li responded with an “Oh” and had no choice but to return to the tribe alone.
The sun slowly dipped in the west as dusk began to fall.
Fei Li silently prayed that the true culprit would reveal themselves tonight.
The two sat back to back, listening to the soothing sound of flowing water.
On a summer night, it was oppressively hot without a hint of a cool breeze, and Fei Li was sweating profusely.
In contrast, Luo Sang maintained an upright sitting posture, seemingly unaffected by the heat at all.
Fei Li turned his head to steal a glance at Luo Sang. “Are you hot?”
“Not hot.”
“You’re not afraid of the heat?”
Seeing that Luo Sang didn’t answer him, he couldn’t help but mumble to himself, “Animals can regulate their body temperature, can orcs do the same?”
He missed modern air conditioning so much!
Catching sight of the river, he suddenly jumped up and walked towards it.
“Splash!” Fei Li jumped into the river, splashing water everywhere as he took a bath.
The icy mountain river water hit his body, and he felt significantly more refreshed.
After rinsing off, he looked up at Luo Sang. “This water is so refreshing. Do you want to come down and wash?”
Upon hearing this, Luo Sang’s gaze shifted slightly, a small flame of excitement flickering in his heart.
“Are you inviting me?” Luo Sang stood up, looking down at him from his elevated position.
Inviting?
Fei Li hurriedly nodded. “Yes, I’m inviting you to take a bath together.”
Completely oblivious to the real meaning behind his words, Luo Sang removed his animal skin clothing and casually tossed it aside.
Fei Li’s eyes widened, and with a “duang” sound in his mind, he quickly diverted his gaze from Luo Sang’s bronze skin.
Although they had shared an intimate relationship before, when Luo Sang’s perfect body appeared before him, he still felt a bit shy. He turned his head and shouted, “You’re taking a bath, why do you have to strip down like that?” Are you trying to tempt me?
The response to his question was a loud splash.
Before he could process what had just happened, Luo Sang had already entered the water, stepping closer to him.
As Luo Sang approached, the once refreshing river water seemed to become scalding hot, and he felt uneasy under its heat.
Now they were in the water, did Luo Sang want to have a passionate moment here?
Thinking of those indescribable scenarios, he felt his mouth go dry, unconsciously licking his parched lips.
Little did he know, this seemingly casual gesture appeared to Luo Sang as a subtle hint.
Luo Sang quickened his pace to his side, pulling him into his embrace and looking down at him with burning eyes.
“I want you.”
“What’s wrong? Didn’t you say you don’t like me to be so blunt? Are you pretending not to understand now?”
As soon as the words left his mouth, Luo Sang didn’t care whether he responded, he forcefully captured his lips.
Perhaps due to the bath, his lips were cool and refreshing, making the already heated Luo Sang crave him even more. As the kiss deepened, their bodies pressed tightly together.
Fei Li could clearly feel a certain part of Luo Sang awaken, his body instinctively responding.
Luo Sang’s lips drifted to his ear, whispering in a heated tone, “Fei Li, let’s have a baby this time!”
“I…” Fei Li’s thin lips parted slightly, just as he was about to respond, Luo Sang took the opportunity to invade, their lips and tongues intertwining.
The two gradually lost themselves in this chase of passion, forgetting the time and the place.
Eventually, Fei Li, exhausted, leaned against Luo Sang’s chest and fell asleep.
Luo Sang, still wanting more, reluctantly carried him out of the water, laying him down on a stone to rest.
It was now the early hours of the morning, and the summer heat was gradually fading, a hint of coolness in the air.
Fei Li, deep in sleep, couldn’t help but shiver a little. Luo Sang, feeling sorry for him, held him close, using his body heat to warm him.
The entire night, Luo Sang maintained the same position.
The next day, just as dawn broke.
From a distance, the sound of rustling footsteps came, and Luo Sang immediately alerted, looking ahead. Fei Li woke up as well. As he left Luo Sang’s embrace, he looked at Luo Sang and said, “Finally, someone is coming?”
As he spoke, a hint of post-passion flush colored his face, making Luo Sang’s stomach tighten.
Fei Li found it amusing and quickly distanced himself.
Orcs are orcs, they always wore themselves out, while Luo Sang seemed insatiable.
As the footsteps drew closer, the two finally recognized that the people coming were indeed from the Tiger tribe.
It seemed that both traps were crafted by the Tiger tribe.
The Tiger orcs hadn’t expected to encounter them here and were momentarily stunned, before quickly turning to flee.
With quick reflexes, the two leaped forward, blocking the Tiger orcs’s escape route.
“What… what do you want?” The Tiger orc stumbled, nearly losing his balance.
Fei Li smiled and patted the Tiger orc on the shoulder.
“Brother, we’re all old acquaintances here, so let’s drop the act, okay?”
The beaming Fei Li sent a chill down the Tiger orc’s spine. “What… What are you talking about? I don’t understand.”
“Really don’t understand? How about I make you understand?”
After saying that, he grabbed the Tiger orc and started walking toward the trap.
This trap was originally set up by the Tiger tribe for the two of them, and seeing this, the Tiger orc turned pale.
After only a few steps, the Tiger orc was so scared that they sat down on the ground, refusing to take another step forward.
“What’s wrong? Can’t move? I don’t mind helping you along,” Fei Li pretended to pull the Tiger orc up from the ground.
The Tiger orc stepped back, looking at him with fear in his eyes. “I… I’m not going.”
No one knew better than the Tiger tribe what was in that trap.
The Tiger orc’s reaction pleased Fei Li. He bent down to look at him, “Why did you destroy my rice? Who came up with this whole scheme?”
Lowering his head in guilt, the Tiger orc knew he couldn’t win or escape.
“My patience is not good. If you don’t speak up, then I…”
“It was all Qian Shi’s idea. Qian Shi…” The Tiger orc babbled, spilling everything he knew about Qian Shi.
After hearing this, Luo Sang’s face turned dark, and the Tiger orc trembled in fear.
Fei Li’s expression changed as well, filled with indignation. “Qian Shi again. It looks like we need to settle the score between us.”
“Take us to find Qian Shi.” He turned to the Tiger orc in front of him.
Faced with two powerful enemies, the Tiger orc had no choice but to lead them to the Tiger tribe’s settlement.
As dawn broke, Fei Li and Luo Sang entered the Tiger tribe’s settlement without any hindrance, following the Tiger orc.
After three years, Fei Li stepped into the Tiger tribe’s settlement once again, and all the memories rushed back to him.
After recovering his memories, Luo Sang felt guilty toward Fei Li and nervously held his hand.
The two exchanged glances, and all sorts of emotions flooded their hearts.
“Do you blame me?” Luo Sang suddenly asked, looking at Fei Li.
Fei Li was caught off guard by the question and paused for a moment.
After a long while, he shook his head with a carefree smile. “At first, I did complain that you forgot me, but then I thought about it: you wouldn’t want to forget me either. It was all Hu Yin’s doing that got in the way, so I felt much better about it.”
“Really?”
Even after three years, Luo Sang still couldn’t forget the pain in Fei Li’s eyes back then.
