Only ten days… just ten days…
Even the naïve Cheng Jin didn’t ask the foolish question “What will happen to him after the surgery?” nor could he blame Lu Tao for his decision. In fact, the derivative personality was created by toxins and wasn’t naturally occurring. Even without making this decision, that “Lu Tao” would disappear in two months anyway.
But Cheng Jin felt sad.
The Lu Tao who loved him was about to disappear forever, like a fleeting dream. Although Cheng Jin knew this was how things would end, it was still hard to accept when it actually came to this point.
Lu Tao clearly had something serious to discuss, probably waited for a bit for Cheng Jin to stabilize emotionally, then said, “Everything you experienced today normally requires a non-disclosure agreement. You wouldn’t be able to say a word to unrelated people, but I’ve vouched for you, so you don’t need to sign an official agreement. Your communicator will be closely monitored during this period, including your light screen usage.”
“Oh, isn’t it always being monitored?” Cheng Jin stared blankly at him, “Otherwise, why was I approached by you guys just minutes after I searched for ‘chimera’?”
“That wasn’t specifically targeting you,” Lu Tao rarely explained, “It’s monitoring everyone who searches for the keyword ‘chimera’. And since you just came out from the Military hospital and searched for this, it was judged that you were hiding something, hence you were taken in for questioning.” He stood up, “You might still be questioned later. Don’t worry, don’t be afraid, just tell them exactly what happened that day.”
Being comforted by a husband was something Cheng Jin could never have imagined before, and now that it was really happening, he felt no surprise or excitement, and seemed still numb. He softly uttered “Oh,” then suddenly asked, “The last few sentences… should I tell the truth about them too?”
Lu Tao tensed up, his expression unchanged, “Tell the truth.”
“Okay…” Cheng Jin sniffed the scent on the quilt, his whole body curled up in a vulnerable position. Lu Tao silently watched him for a while and was just about to turn and leave when Cheng Jin suddenly said, “Actually, I missed out on something.”
His voice was very soft, but because the bedroom was so quiet, Lu Tao heard him clearly. The tall man immediately turned back, his eyes and brows carrying a stern, official air, “What is it?”
Cheng Jin rubbed his cheek against the soft quilt and said, “He said I look pretty when I cry…”
Lu Tao knew why he had cried without needing to ask. A stronger wave of sourness flooded his heart, surprising even himself with the intensity of his jealousy, but he couldn’t suppress these feelings. The general abandoned his plan to leave, as if unable to control his steps, walked towards the bed, and when he reached Cheng Jin, he asked in a low voice, “So you prefer him?”
Cheng Jin had already buried his face in the quilt, his shoulders heaving as he cried.
Thinking of whom he was crying over, Lu Tao felt utterly unpleasant. He had hoped Cheng Jin would move on to the next “thing,” but when he actually showed signs of “falling in love” with someone else, Lu Tao was unexpectedly infuriated. He furrowed his brows, about to touch Cheng Jin, but suddenly, everything went dark before his eyes, and a strong consciousness struggled against his, trying to suppress it to regain control of the body. For some reason, even though his own mental power was much stronger than the other’s, he still ended up being defeated.
Cheng Jin hadn’t heard Lu Tao’s final question; he was completely immersed in his own grief, a sorrow more painful and desperate than before engulfed him, making it impossible to control himself, all he wanted was to cry.
He would never receive his husband’s love, because the person who loved him wasn’t Lu Tao at all.
And the Lu Tao who loved him was also about to disappear.
The man who would kiss him, hold him, pinch his cheeks with a smile, and travel with him, was about to disappear completely. And his disappearance was a true vanishing, without leaving a single trace behind.
Tears burst forth, quickly soaking the pillowcase, and just when Cheng Jin couldn’t suppress his sobbing anymore, a warm, large palm touched his nape, and another hand lifted his face.
Through his tear-blurred vision, Cheng Jin saw Lu Tao’s radiant smile.
The tears stopped abruptly; Cheng Jin was stunned, somewhat in disbelief, but his heart beat rapidly.
The real Lu Tao would never resort to disguises to coax him, or to put it another way, he would never come to coax him, so the person in front of him could only be the Lu Tao who loved him!
His soft cheeks were pinched, and the other person stuck out their tongue to lick his tears, lowering their voice and said, “Baby, why are you crying?”
Cheng Jin was momentarily stunned before swiftly wrapping his arms tightly around the other’s neck. He held on as tight as he could, wishing they could merge into one, his tears falling freely as he sobbed, “Husband, it’s husband…”
Lu Tao paused, his smile slowly fading, “You already know?”
Cheng Jin sniffed, his voice full of grievance, “Mhm,” then buried his head in his neck, “I don’t want to know at all! Not at all… Why… Why do you have to disappear? Why…”
Lu Tao forced a smile, kissed his cheek, and said, “Because I wasn’t supposed to exist.” He had been shocked when he first learned about this too and might not have had some dark thoughts at the time, but eventually, he gave up. “‘I’ shouldn’t have become me, I was originally just a part of Lu Tao’s body, only brought out by a special coincidence. So baby, don’t be sad.”
“You’re not him…” Cheng Jin cried even harder, “He would never love me, so you’re not him, I don’t want you to disappear…”
Lu Tao smiled helplessly, cupped his face, and gently wiped away the tears on his face with a tissue, after making eye contact, he said, “But we only have one body, or do you think it’s better for me to take over completely? To let him disappear completely?”
Cheng Jin was startled by these words, instinctively wanting to shake his head but soon held back.
Lu Tao, however, saw through his thoughts, chuckled softly, and kissed his lips, “So don’t be sad, be good, let me accompany you a few more days.”
Cheng Jin was surprised, “You knew about his plan to erase you? He, he said the surgery is in ten days…”
“I know.”
Cheng Jin was frantic, “Then you agreed? Why would you agree? He, he’s so cold, how could he do this! There’s still two months left…”
“We can’t wait that long, his mental power is getting stronger, and I’m gradually losing control over the body. Even if he doesn’t choose to have surgery, I wouldn’t be able to exist that long.” Lu Tao pointed to his head, “My existence is all because of the Bug race’s toxin, the less residue of the toxin, the less I exist. His mental power is too strong, it can’t be accurately predicted by data, only that his self-recovery speed is even more powerful than what the doctors have determined.” He said this, smiling warmly at Cheng Jin, “So baby, should we waste time now?”
This was too much for Cheng Jin to take in, so he desperately needed sex to calm his emotions, and to say “farewell” to each other.
So the sex was particularly intense.
Cheng Jin had Lu Tao involved from the enema, he didn’t care about being embarrassed, he just didn’t want to be apart from him for a moment. His belly was filled with liquid, swelling up noticeably, and a plug tightly sealed the exit. It held for nearly ten minutes before the plug was removed, letting all the waste flush out.
After being cleaned thoroughly, Cheng Jin was lifted onto the washbasin, kneeling before the broad, clear mirror. His naked body was tender and blushed, the corners of his eyes still bearing traces of tears, his pert buttocks round and enticing, and the black tattoo at his lower back even more seductive. Cheng Jin was satisfied with this position because he could clearly see his husband’s figure.
Since the previous Lu Tao had never tried this kind of sex, Cheng Jin felt no confusion at all. The morning’s events were pushed to the back of his mind; right now, he was just a little wife urgently needing her man’s affection.
The handsome man’s eyes were also full of infatuation and desire. He opened his mouth and bit gently on Cheng Jin’s buttocks, then asked in a low voice, “Did that chimera say he saw us having sex?”
Cheng Jin blushed furiously, “Yeah… it’s all your fault, you said we wouldn’t be seen… and it lasted so long…”
“It’s a misunderstanding, I didn’t know chimeras really existed at that time, I thought all the experiments had failed.”
Cheng Jin was puzzled, “Chimera experiments? What are those?”
Lu Tao slapped his buttocks, dissatisfied, “Focus.”
Cheng Jin’s cheeks reddened, just as he was about to explain, something suddenly touched his back passage, that slick, warm sensation made his eyes widen in disbelief, “Husband, you…” before he could finish, it licked up again, touching his sensitive anal rim, making his entire body shudder.
His guess was almost confirmed, but Cheng Jin felt only panic, he tried to look back, his buttocks evading, “Don’t… no, husband, don’t use your tongue… ah ah ah… it’s dirty…” But he couldn’t escape, his waist was pinned down, no matter how much he twisted, that tongue kept circling his anal area, during his fiercest wriggling, suddenly a tingling sensation shot through the center, and the tongue plunged in.
“Oh… no, don’t…” Cheng Jin was terrified, yet more intense pleasure surged, altering his voice and softening his body.
His husband was actually rimming him!
