“It’s nothing important, really. I’ll go freshen up first.” Lingxue waved her hand smugly as she passed by Shen Cheng and headed toward the bathroom.

Ximing followed behind Lingxue, briefly pausing as she brushed past Shen Cheng. She sneakily used her large orange tail to lightly graze Shen Cheng’s hand. Smiling, she whispered, “So, you brought us back to the Cat Café mainly to make us work for you? Such a sly one, aren’t you, dear Specialized Agent~”

“Ahem… I told you, it’s okay if you don’t want to work…” Shen Cheng coughed awkwardly. Suddenly, his attention was drawn to the fluffy tail that continued brushing against his hand, as if it were tickling his heart.

Liu Su came out of the kitchen with two breakfasts in hand, smiling slightly at Shen Cheng’s expression. “Ximing is just like that, you don’t need to take it to heart. Come eat breakfast first.”

Nodding, Shen Cheng sat down at the table, facing Liu Su.

Breakfast was simple: toast with fried eggs. Liu Su even heated up some leftovers from last night and added them to the sandwich, making it quite tasty.

“By the way, Ximing seems to like you a lot,” Liu Su said suddenly, taking a small bite of her toast and glancing at Shen Cheng.

Shen Cheng paused, chewing half an egg in his mouth before swallowing it awkwardly. “What do you mean?”

“Ximing rarely lets anyone touch her tail. Only someone like Lingxue, who’s been with her for so long and shares a sisterly bond, gets to use her tail as a blanket.” Liu Su chuckled, seemingly picturing the petite Lingxue sleeping under Ximing’s tail.

“Really…” Shen Cheng’s expression turned a little odd. After all, he hadn’t spent that much time with Ximing, had he?

After finishing breakfast, Liu Su got up and took Shen Cheng’s empty plate to the kitchen to wash, leaving him sitting alone in a daze.

A moment later, Shen Cheng snapped back to reality, his face suddenly serious.

Wait a minute! I’m always the one taking care of others. Since when do others take care of me?

“Shen Cheng.” At that moment, Liu Su, who was washing dishes in the kitchen, poked her head out and said, “Ximing and the others should be done soon. Could you bring their breakfast to the table? And don’t forget to keep Cheese’s portion warm.”

“Got it!” Shen Cheng responded immediately, walking into the kitchen and grabbing two breakfasts. Then he froze again.
