Making quick money this way isn’t really wrong. There are countless ways to earn money, and many people prefer taking shortcuts.
The boy was a gift from a friend—a friend who had invited Fu Rong over to have some fun. They weren’t close, but their cooperation was decent.
Of course, Fu Rong wasn’t some ascetic with no desires. He had needs.
But the people in this kind of place didn’t interest him much.
Then he saw the photo—a picture of a boy with his eyes covered—and in that instant, Fu Rong felt like he resembled someone.
Compelled by a strange impulse, he found himself in this room.
Treated as a Substitute – Fu Rong Thinks He’s Gone Mad
Fu Rong just wanted to see how much this boy resembled the other person. When he entered the room and saw the boy, for a brief moment, he was dazed, almost believing the person kneeling before him was Chi Yao.
This scene overlapped with something that had happened not long ago—back at his hotel. On that day, the other person’s eyes had also been covered, but by his own eyelids, not the black cloth covering the boy now.
The boy’s hands were free, yet he didn’t take the blindfold off. Perhaps to make things more interesting?
Some people enjoy this kind of play. Fu Rong knew that many of the people who came to this place had unique preferences.
He, however, didn’t have that many particular preferences.
He sat down on the sofa beside him with a soft thud, lighting a cigarette. The smell of smoke quickly filled the room.
The boy heard the sound and turned his head toward Fu Rong, looking in his direction, but with his eyes covered, he couldn’t see anything.
The smoke soon drifted over to the boy, and he began coughing. Clearly, he wasn’t used to the smell of nicotine, immediately choking on it.
Fu Rong frowned—no one had ever coughed in front of him like that. This boy was different, and though Fu Rong was slightly displeased, he quickly extinguished his cigarette.
He knew this person couldn’t possibly be Chi Yao. There was no way he would appear before him like this.
But the resemblance was uncanny. In body shape, they were almost identical, although their temperament was different. Fu Rong found it hard to separate this boy from Chi Yao in his mind.
Could someone have done this on purpose?
Deliberately putting someone who looked like him in front of him?
The thought crossed Fu Rong’s mind, and then he laughed at himself. His feelings for Chi Yao were something no one knew. That day, when he accidentally saved Chi Yao, Chi Yao himself didn’t even seem to realize what had happened. Later, Fu Rong had his hotel staff keep an eye out, but Chi Yao never appeared again. He probably just wanted to teach a lesson to those bold enough to cross him.
The hotel was under Fu Rong’s name, so the incident hadn’t likely been exposed, and he had taken some steps to cover things up.
So, this boy in front of him was probably just a coincidence.
Looking at the boy now, dressed in a single thin garment, Fu Rong could clearly see everything beneath it.
It was at this moment that Fu Rong realized that he might have had some thoughts about Chi Yao before.
But this kind of thought?
Fu Rong was surprised at himself.
He wouldn’t touch that person. Chi Yao’s heart already belonged to someone else. His “white moonlight” was Shen Ling, and Fu Rong knew Shen Ling very well. He seemed kind and gentle, but was actually as venomous as a snake. If he ever found out about any connection between Fu Rong and Chi Yao, Shen Ling would definitely do something.
Chi Yao could only grovel for Shen Ling’s affection, and that was one of the reasons why Fu Rong kept his distance from him.
Now, though, seeing this boy who looked so much like him, Fu Rong’s fingers twitched as he reached for another cigarette. He paused when he saw the boy’s pale face and stopped himself from lighting it.
The boy was still kneeling, and after realizing that Fu Rong was sitting quietly, he tilted his head, seemingly thinking about something. A few moments later, he stood up. Dressed in just a thin silk shirt that did nothing to hide his body, he walked toward Fu Rong barefoot on the carpet.
Seeing those two long, slender legs, so close and almost like a work of art, Fu Rong felt a strange desire rise in him. He wasn’t typically into this sort of thing, but the boy’s presence triggered an urge to touch him.
Fu Rong shook his head and chuckled, surprised at how weak his self-control had become.
The boy approached him, lifting his hand and groping through the air.
“Are you… are you here?” the boy asked timidly, his voice trembling as he tried to locate Fu Rong’s position.
Fu Rong remained silent, watching him.
The boy took two more steps forward and knelt down on the carpet, crawling forward until he touched something, and then immediately withdrew his hand in surprise.
He slowly moved closer to Fu Rong, letting his hand slide up the leg of the sofa. With a small face partially covered by the blindfold, he seemed to be trying to get a better look at the person in front of him.
“I… I owe some money, please…” the boy stammered, clearly not used to begging.
“Hundreds of thousands. Do you think you’re worth that much in one go?” Fu Rong scrutinized the boy’s body. Of course, he could afford it, but the fact that the boy was using this face to sell himself filled him with rage.
“I… I, the manager said…”
The boy bit his lip, on the verge of tears, looking utterly fragile.
Fu Rong’s anger flared as he grabbed the boy’s chin, forcing him to lift his face. He leaned in and spoke coldly, “So stupid. You believe everything people say?”
Too foolish. Fu Rong released him with a shove, and the boy fell to the floor.
Tears streamed down his face, soaking the blindfold.
“You can… you can check the goods first if you want…” the boy said, trembling as he fumbled with the buttons on his shirt, his frail body looking like it could break at any moment.
