Chapter 17: Pity Me?
“Second son, I’ve said it before, after the family split, we’ll go our separate ways. Don’t bring up what happened three years ago.”
Zhou Youlu was tired. He couldn’t maintain his authority as the head of the family in front of Zhou Yu. His seniority meant nothing to this unruly son. To prevent this reckless son from ruining their family’s reputation, he could only compromise.
“It’s true that we were wrong to interfere with your friends today. It was because the neighborhood gossip affected our family. We were worried that you were making friends with the wrong kind of people. From now on, you can make whatever friends you want. Just close the door and live your own life, and we’ll all live in peace, okay?”
He thought he was being sincere and heartfelt.
Zhou Yu folded his arms, clicking his tongue. “You don’t get to decide whether we live in peace or not. I close the door and live my life, and your whole family comes barging in to cause me trouble. Now you’re scared?”
“Second son, what do you want? What will it take for you to let this go and stop causing trouble for the whole family?”
Pan Hehua was furious. She even had a fleeting thought: “If only the eldest had gone to jail three years ago.”
Zhou Yu ignored her. He lifted his chin towards Xu An, “Wife, what are we missing at home? Tell me.”
Xu An was taken aback by his call. Seeing the Zhou family’s varied expressions, Xu An smiled sweetly, “Thank you, Mom. We’re missing a decent stove at home.”
“This small honeycomb coal stove is too small. It doesn’t even have a chimney, so we can’t put it in the house at night. It’s freezing.”
She had been planning to get a better stove, so it would be easier to cook things in the future. This unexpected gift was a pleasant surprise.
The couple, one tough and one soft, complemented each other perfectly.
Pan Hehua gritted her teeth. This couple were both heartless wolves, but she could only grit her teeth and say, “I’ll get one for you in a couple of days. Don’t make a fuss about it.”
Zhou Yu grinned, “Mom, you better hurry. My mouth is leaky, I can’t keep anything a secret.”
Pan Hehua, who wanted to delay it for a few days, said harshly, “I’ll get it for you in two days. Don’t cause trouble, second son.”
Zhou Yu scoffed nonchalantly, impervious to threats.
The couple were about to go back to their room.
Feng Yirou, who had been silent all along, was no longer the gentle and kind elder sister-in-law. She stared at Zhou Hongguang with a cold face.
“Zhou Hongguang, I want a divorce.”
Zhou Hongguang grabbed her wrist. Being laughed at by his second brother’s family was the most embarrassing thing for him, so he could only patiently coax her.
“What are you talking about? Don’t be silly.”
Feng Yirou shook off his hand and pointed at Zhou Yu, “I’m not being silly. When we got married, your family didn’t tell me that you had a brother who took your place in prison.”
When Zhou Yu returned home, she didn’t say anything on the surface, but in her heart, she looked down on this second brother who had been in prison, a good-for-nothing.
It turned out that the good-for-nothing second brother she had always looked down upon had saved her supposed good husband, Zhou Hongguang. Zhou Hongguang was the one who should have been in prison. How could she accept that she had married a reformed criminal and fugitive!
Zhou Hongguang said in a low voice, “The charge of speculation and profiteering has been cleared for the second son. It proves that I’m innocent too. Don’t be silly.”
Feng Yirou glared at him without speaking, showing no intention of changing her mind.
Zhou Yu leaned back lazily, staring at the family, “You really are all cut from the same cloth.”
“The whole neighborhood doesn’t know that you’ve been covering up your crimes and getting someone else to take the blame. You even have to use deception to get a wife.”
He turned to Wen Yaowu, who was standing beside him, and said casually, “It’s a good thing we did this today. Otherwise, you would have been fooled by this whole family, what else can’t they deceive you about?”
He was stirring the pot, as if he wanted the world to know.
Zhou Hongguang was helpless against him. He could only forcefully pull Feng Yirou back to the west room.
The door slammed shut from the inside, followed by heated arguments. The Zhou family looked at each other. Zhou Youlu glared at Pan Hehua.
“Look at the mess you’ve caused! Why did you go and provoke the second son? If the eldest’s wife gets a divorce, don’t come back here. You’re bad luck.”
Zhou Youlu finished speaking and bent over, returning to the main room.
Zhou Dandan also looked at Pan Hehua with dissatisfaction, “Mom, Second brother is already hot-tempered. You had to have Big brother stand up for you. Now, Big sister-in-law is getting a divorce. It’s all your fault.”
She waved her hand angrily and left, not wanting to deal with her mother anymore.
Zhou Shuwen, who was walking last, also returned to his room in silence.
Pan Hehua stared at the family as they walked away. No one cared about her. She was so miserable that she whimpered softly. It was a real disaster!
In the east room, Wen Yaowu touched his buzz cut and looked at Zhou Yu, “Brother Yu, I was impulsive just now. I just couldn’t stand this whole family’s shamelessness. I was so angry that I spoke without thinking. Don’t be mad.”
He was only nineteen years old, the same age as Zhou Yu three years ago, but he was more impulsive than Zhou Yu used to be.
Zhou Yu sat on a chair, his leg crossed, “Go back quickly. Don’t keep your elders waiting.”
He didn’t mention blaming him.
Xu An took the lunchbox that had been kept warm by the stove and wrapped it in a canvas bag. She handed it to Wen Yaowu, “It’s still hot. If you hurry, it should be fine. If it gets cold, just heat it up.”
Wen Yaowu took it, his gaze falling on Zhou Yu and Xu An. He casually ran his hand through his hair and didn’t say anything else. “Alright, Sister-in-law, Brother Yu, I’ll go back then.”
Zhou Yu waved to him. Wen Yaowu grabbed the canvas bag with the lunchbox and rushed out, looking like he was in a hurry to get back.
After he left, the room fell silent again.
Xu An sat next to Zhou Yu, her gaze fixed on him.
Zhou Yu stared at her, “What? Pity me?”
The woman’s gaze made him uncomfortable, itchy, and he didn’t know where to scratch. Zhou Yu couldn’t find the source of his discomfort, so he said impatiently.
Xu An lowered her eyes slightly and admitted honestly, “A little.”
Zhou Yu clicked his tongue and sneered, “Then put away that little bit. Didn’t you see that they dare not provoke me? Is it worth pitying me like that?”
Her eyes were clearly red just now, like a rabbit. It was annoying and disturbing.
He could still hear Zhou Hongguang coaxing Feng Yirou. Xu An shrugged, stood up, and walked towards the room.
“Then you wash the dishes in the house.”
Zhou Yu stared at the woman’s back, clicked his tongue, and stood up to wash the dishes with hot water.
Xu An went into the room and took out her pajamas. When she came out, she saw Zhou Yu washing the dishes with hot water. She tried to smooth her lips, walked past Zhou Yu, went to the door, picked up a bucket of water, and went to the bathroom to boil hot water.
After taking a bath, Xu An picked up the bucket and went out. She boiled hot water, adjusted the temperature, washed her clothes clean, and went straight back to the east room with the bucket.
She put the bucket at the door of the room and walked inside. She said to Zhou Yu, who was washing the dishes, “Zhou Yu, I’ve washed my clothes and put them in the bucket. You can wring them out and hang them up later.”
She didn’t wait for Zhou Yu to answer and went into the inner room first.
She could tell that this man had a bad temper, but he always did what she asked, even if he did it with a cold face.
After Xu An finished tidying up, she lay down on the side of the bed, pressed down the quilt for herself, trying to prevent drafts. She covered herself up, snuggled into the quilt, and began to call out to the system in her mind.
System, I’ve completed part of the task. You should give me a task reward.
The system scrambled for a moment, then a mechanical voice sounded.
No improvement detected in the host’s appearance, talent, or wealth, nor any remorse detected in the scumbag.
Xu An argued her case.
I helped two children today, improving their lives, and my social standing has clearly risen. Su Xiaoyang even said that he will repay me in the future. My social status has clearly improved. System, are you a half-finished product? Your functions are incomplete.
After an eerie silence, Xu An heard the voice of the 001 system.
Task reward: One Ningxiang Pill. The host can receive it at any time.
Such a useless reward. Xu An immediately protested.
System, to make the scumbag regret his actions, what good is this Ningxiang Pill? I don’t want it. Give me a different reward.
The Ningxiang Pill can help improve the host’s beauty value. According to data, the higher the ex’s beauty value, the higher the probability of the scumbag regretting his actions.
Your data is inaccurate. Listen to me.
Feeling the silence of the half-finished test system, Xu An said repeatedly.
System, since you’re supposed to be an auxiliary, it’s more reasonable to consider the host’s needs. I need a perfect braising sauce recipe now. That’s a satisfactory task reward.
The system in her mind fell silent. Xu An pinched her thumb with her index finger. She was worried that the system wouldn’t consider her opinion. But that Ningxiang Pill was too useless. It couldn’t help her at all.
Just when Xu An was about to give up, the sound of the system’s task reward being reissued was like a heavenly melody.
Xu An immediately received the task reward. She held the braising sauce recipe in her hand, and the smile on her lips grew wider. She would go to the early market tomorrow morning to buy the necessary ingredients!
After making up her mind, Xu An hid the recipe, lay back down on the bed, her eyes sparkling. She was about to make her first fortune in this world!
Zhou Yu walked into the room, his gaze falling on the woman’s smiling eyes. His thick eyebrows furrowed slightly. What was so happy about?
Xu An felt a shadow fall on her face. She turned her head to look at Zhou Yu, who had walked into the room, coughed lightly, and said,
“Zhou Yu, I need to get up early tomorrow. You call me.”
Zhou Yu closed the lights, walked to the bed, and climbed in. He said in a low voice, “Anything else?”
The coldness on his body made Xu An shiver involuntarily. She moved further to the side of the bed and responded softly.
“Yes, I need to buy some materials.”
Buying materials again. This woman was a real spendthrift. Zhou Yu lay in bed, feeling the woman’s slightly shrinking body. He paused for a moment, didn’t ask Xu An what materials she was buying, because it was always about spending money.
Xu An didn’t tell Zhou Yu. She thought she would wait until tomorrow when she had actually done it before talking to him about making money.
After Zhou Yu promised to call her, Xu An finally felt at ease and fell asleep, no longer worried about waking up late tomorrow.
The next morning, before dawn, Zhou Yu called Xu An to wake her up.
Waking up every morning in the winter was a torment for both body and mind. Xu An buried her head in the quilt, reluctantly rubbing against it. Remembering what she had to do, she took the clothes she was going to wear and put them in the quilt. She changed clothes in the quilt before getting out of bed. She couldn’t help but stamp her feet from the cold.
She put her hand to her lips and breathed lightly, took out the recipe she had hidden yesterday, and looked at it carefully. The ingredients were similar to the braising sauce she made herself, but the proportions were more precise and detailed than hers. Feeling confident, Xu An hid the recipe in her pocket before leaving the room.
In the outer room, Zhou Yu had already brought the stove into the room. Next to it were the clothes Xu An had asked Zhou Yu to hang up yesterday, and they were indeed hung up properly.
After Xu An washed her face, she was ready to leave. She saw Zhou Yu following her and closing the door.
Xu An said softly, “I know the way now.”
The implication was clear. She didn’t need him to take her.
Zhou Yu’s expression was indifferent. He just looked at Xu An, “Going or not?”
Xu An asked tentatively, “Let’s go together for a while. You need to help me carry things.”
Even if she bought the things herself, she would be carrying them while Zhou Yu stood there doing nothing. It would be better not to go, so she wouldn’t feel unbalanced.
“Troublesome.”
Zhou Yu scoffed, closed the door, and walked out of the courtyard with Xu An.
He didn’t refuse, which meant he agreed. Xu An was slightly relieved.
As they walked out of the courtyard, they unexpectedly saw Feng Yirou coming out of the west room with a bag in her hand. As soon as she stepped out, she ran into the couple in the courtyard.
Feng Yirou didn’t speak or greet them. She hung her head and walked quickly out.
The sky was just beginning to lighten, and the Zhou family hadn’t gotten up yet. Xu An and Zhou Yu exchanged glances and raised their eyebrows in unison.
Was Feng Yirou going back to her parents’ house?
Was she really going to divorce Zhou Hongguang?
They walked side by side out of the courtyard, ignoring this little incident.
When they reached the entrance of the early market, Xu An first bought six buns for breakfast. She took two for herself and gave Zhou Yu four.
Then she walked ahead of Zhou Yu and went to the supply and marketing cooperative first.
Fortunately, she came early today. Xu An bought a piece of pork belly. Her gaze fell on the other parts of the pig on the stall. She asked for a set of pig offal, pig innards, pig bones, pig trotters, and pig ears.
The stall owner saw that she was specifically choosing these things that others didn’t want. He was quick and even gave her a discount. She bought all these things at once. He was really afraid that she would regret it.
After Xu An bought the meat, she handed it to Zhou Yu. Zhou Yu took it without saying anything and followed behind Xu An.
Seeing that he was really helping her carry things and didn’t act like a shirker, Xu An felt a lot more relaxed.
After buying the meat, she bought some vegetables and then, under Zhou Yu’s strange gaze, bought two chicken carcasses. She handed them to Zhou Yu to carry and then went to the spice shop to buy the spices she needed. She carefully selected the spices she needed, making sure she didn’t miss anything. After Xu An bought everything, she turned around and smiled at Zhou Yu.
“Okay, let’s go back and try it.”
Zhou Yu didn’t know what this woman was going to do with these seemingly strange things, he just said lazily, “Done buying?”
His tone was much softer than the previous few times she had gone out.
“Done. Let’s go home first. If we need more, we’ll buy it again.”
She turned and walked back. Zhou Yu stared at the woman, who was empty-handed and walking lightly, his gaze fell on his own hands, full of things. He scoffed and followed behind Xu An, his steps uneven.
The couple returned home after buying their things. As soon as they entered the courtyard, they saw that the Zhou family was in chaos.
They could faintly hear Zhou Youlu’s voice.
“He can’t even control his own wife.”
Seeing the two of them enter, Zhou Youlu said to Xu An in a low voice, “Second son’s wife, did you see your elder sister-in-law this morning?”
The Zhou family, now afraid to face Zhou Yu, could only turn to her.
Xu An tilted her head, looking at Zhou Yu beside her, then at the Zhou family, and finally at Zhou Hongguang, who looked a little disheveled.
“What’s going on?”
The woman’s innocent and puzzled expression made Zhou Yu crack a smile. He ignored the Zhou family and carried his things into the east room.
Xu An followed behind him, her puzzled gaze still fixed on the Zhou family.
“Your elder sister-in-law made a scene yesterday. You know, we’re afraid something might happen to her, so we have to find her first. Did you see her this morning?”
Xu An shook her head, looking confused. “No, when Zhou Yu and I went out, you guys weren’t even awake yet.”
After she finished speaking, she looked at Zhou Hongguang and blinked, “Big brother, didn’t you know when Big sister-in-law woke up? You sleep so soundly. Everyone in our village wakes up early. Only animals can’t be woken up by any noise.”
“Sister-in-law, don’t go too far!”
From last night to now, Zhou Hongguang had been exhausted by this couple. He held back his temper, trying to maintain his dignity as the eldest son.
“Alright, since she really wants to divorce you, she probably went back to her parents’ house. Let’s look around nearby first, don’t make a fuss about it. Hongguang, go back to the factory. If she’s not there, go over there tomorrow and ask. If she really went back to her parents’ house, say some nice things and coax her back.”
Zhou Youlu didn’t want to bother with this couple anymore.
Zhou Hongguang reluctantly agreed and went back to his room.
Xu An and Zhou Yu returned to the east room and watched him put things away in the cabinet.
She couldn’t help but be curious, “Zhou Yu, do you think their marriage will actually end?”
Zhou Yu went to the door, picked up the stove, and brought it into the room. Xu An picked up two chairs and placed them next to it. She sat down, warming her hands on the stove, and looked up at Zhou Yu.
Zhou Yu casually sat down next to Xu An, not caring at all. “Who knows.”
He squinted at Xu An and scoffed, “Why didn’t you tell that old man the truth just now?”
Xu An tilted her head and said sincerely, “It’s better to demolish ten temples than to ruin this marriage.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she heard a short laugh from the person beside her. Xu An looked over and saw Zhou Yu’s unfinished smile.
She was a little stunned. This man usually smiled mockingly or nonchalantly, a surface smile that didn’t reach his eyes or his heart.
This was the first time she had seen him smile with his eyes, like a carefree young man.
It was at this moment that Xu An could clearly feel that Zhou Yu was a year younger than her.
The smile on Zhou Yu’s face flashed away. He looked at the woman beside him and said in a low voice, “Who taught you that?”
Who was that irresponsible person? They weren’t afraid of this woman saying it in front of others and causing trouble.
Even though he thought so, Zhou Yu couldn’t help but twitch the corner of his lips, trying hard to suppress the smile.
Xu An mumbled, “I heard it somewhere.”
Zhou Yu wasn’t from the future, so she couldn’t explain it.
The coldness in her hands gradually warmed up. Xu An was still thinking about her braising sauce. When it was almost done, she stood up and took out the spices she had bought and placed them on a stool next to the stove.
Zhou Yu stretched out his legs, leaning lazily against the back of the chair, casually staring at Xu An, watching what tricks she had up her sleeve.
To cook a good pot of braising sauce, you have to start by simmering a good broth.
The pig bones Xu An bought were essential for simmering a milky white broth. As for the chicken carcasses, they were added to enhance the flavor of the broth.
Xu An took a deep breath, took out the pig bones and chicken carcasses, and put them in the pot.
Zhou Yu, who was watching idly, stood up, picked up a basin, and stared at Xu An, saying in a low voice, “How do you do it?”
He was willing to help, which was unexpected for Xu An. She stared at the man’s impatient expression.
Xu An pointed to the water in the courtyard, “You need to wash the pig bones and chicken carcasses with cold water.”
Zhou Yu picked up the basin and went to the courtyard to wash them. He filled the basin with water, brought it back to the east room, and Xu An motioned for him to put it on the stove. She took some white wine, poured it in to remove the fishy smell, brought it to a boil, and used a spoon to remove the impurities that floated up.
She took out the pig bones and chicken carcasses and put them back in clean water to soak.
“Zhou Yu, help me fill another pot with water.”
Zhou Yu filled the pot with water. When it boiled, Xu An put the pig bones and chicken carcasses back in the pot. After it boiled again, she added sliced ginger to remove the fishy smell.
While the broth was simmering, Xu An looked at the prepared ingredients, her eyes curved into a smile as she stared at Zhou Yu, whose face was not looking good. “Zhou Yu, help me wash these. I’ll let you eat first.”
Staring at the woman’s slightly flattering face, Zhou Yu impatiently picked up the things and went to wash them.
Xu An carefully prepared the spice packets according to the proportions given in the recipe.
The broth simmered for an hour. The milky white broth was fragrant and rich. The mellow aroma of bone broth filled the air. The Zhou family, who were busy outside the courtyard, smelled the aroma and knew that Xu An was spending money again. They were so angry that they were half-dead.
Xu An asked Zhou Yu to take the broth off the stove. She picked up a pot and stir-fried a bowl of caramel color, then prepared the caramel color, white wine, rock sugar, and salt.
She asked Zhou Yu to put the broth back on the stove. After it boiled, Xu An carefully poured in the caramel color according to the proportions, carefully adjusting the red color of the broth, then added the appropriate amount of salt and the spice packets she had prepared according to the proportions.
She put the pig trotters and pork belly, which had been washed and soaked in clean water by Zhou Yu, into the pot first. Even the pig offal that she had bought had been washed clean by Zhou Yu.
Xu An first treated the pig offal to remove the fishy smell, then put it all in the pot, added a few rock sugar crystals, and covered it with a lid to press down the spice packets so they wouldn’t float up.
Zhou Yu leaned against the door, his gaze falling on the woman’s white side profile. Her loose hair fell on her side face, bringing a softness and gentleness.
Xu An finally poured the white wine into the pot, then breathed a sigh of relief, straightened up, and turned to look at Zhou Yu at the door, a smile on her face.
“Wait a few more hours, and the first pot will be done. I’ll let you taste it first.”
The woman’s unmasked smile was reflected in Zhou Yu’s deep eyes. He looked away and casually hummed.
Xu An saw that Zhou Yu was staring at the courtyard. There was nothing else to do but wait, so she walked over and stood next to him at the door, saying softly.
“Why do they all look so bad? Didn’t Feng Yiyou probably go back to her parents’ house?”
Zhou Yu turned his head to look at Xu An and nodded towards the pot she was simmering.
“This stuff, it’ll drive them crazy.”
The rich and domineering aroma filled his nostrils, inescapable. The whole Zhou family, if they didn’t take advantage, they would be at a loss.
“They’re all split up now, why are they still worried about how we spend our money?”
Xu An also stared at the braising sauce she was simmering, turned her head to look at the Zhou family in the courtyard, and saw that Zhou Dandan and Zhou Shuwen couldn’t help but pinch their noses, even giving her a glare.
This Zhou family was really petty. They were making their own things, and they weren’t spending this family’s money. They were so narrow-minded, always staring at her and Zhou Yu. They would sooner or later be driven crazy by their own anger.
Xu An looked up at Zhou Yu, “This broth is famous for becoming more fragrant the longer it simmers. They can’t stand it now, they’ll have a hard time later.”
Especially now that this family dared not provoke Zhou Yu, they were holding their breath in their hearts. Sooner or later, they would be driven crazy by their anger, hurting both their bodies and their hearts.
Zhou Yu raised his eyebrows slightly, his voice light and casual, not avoiding the Zhou family in the courtyard.
“They deserve to be driven crazy.”
The Zhou family, under Zhou Youlu’s orders, dared not confront Zhou Yu. They were angry but dared not speak. Feng Yirou’s divorce was already enough to worry them. Now they were being angered by Zhou Yu and Xu An, the couple in the east room. The atmosphere in the entire courtyard, except for the couple in the east room, became increasingly oppressive.
Zhou Yu was happy to watch the joke unfold. Xu An had been disgusted by the Zhou family’s outrageous behavior last night. Seeing them suffer and be troubled, she was in a good mood overall.
The broth simmered from morning to evening, the tormenting aroma becoming more and more intense. By dinner time, Xu An asked Zhou Yu to take the pot off the stove. She washed the rice and put it on to cook.
Xu An took out the lid from the pot, and the aroma instantly hit her face. Smelling the rich aroma, Xu An felt even more confident. It was purer and richer than what she usually made.
She had promised to give Zhou Yu the first bite. Xu An took out the piece of pork belly, put it in a large bowl, gently patted the skin with chopsticks, it was soft and bouncy, the color was reddish and translucent, the color was perfect, a gentle poke with chopsticks, the soft and rotten meat immediately fell apart, the aroma was intoxicating.
Xu An turned her head to look at Zhou Yu beside her and raised her eyebrows, handing him the chopsticks.
“Try it and see what you think.”
Zhou Yu took the chopsticks, picked up a piece of pork belly that was completely braised, and put it in his mouth.
The rich aroma of spices and the tender meat lingered on his lips and teeth. The braised flavor was endless.
Zhou Yu took a bite, put down the chopsticks, and saw the woman in front of him staring at him intently. He swallowed and said in a flat voice.
“Not bad.”
Xu An took a deep breath, resisting the urge to glare at him. She picked up the chopsticks and took a bite. The aroma lingered on her lips and teeth. The pork belly was tender and delicate, but not greasy.
It was simply delicious.
After the rice was cooked, Xu An served a bowl of braised meat and a bowl of braised vegetables. The couple sat on chairs to eat dinner. The rich aroma was simply mouthwatering, making them eager to start eating.
In the main room next door, the Zhou family was also eating dinner. They stared at the few dishes on the table that they had grown tired of, smelling the peculiar meat aroma coming from the second son’s house, they lost their appetite.
“Mom, didn’t you say that you got Second brother a country bumpkin who had never seen the world? Why doesn’t this Xu An seem like one at all?”
She’s beautiful, she can cook, and she spends money without hesitation. How is she like a country girl?
Pan Hehua was furious, “How was I supposed to know? When I brought her back, her face was covered up tightly, like she couldn’t bear to be seen. I thought she was a simple country girl, but who knew that just two days after marrying the second son, she dared to oppose him and the family.”
“Mom, you didn’t even look carefully!”
“Alright.” Zhou Youlu said in a low voice, “That money is being spent day after day, how long can it last? Just wait until these few days are over. Those two will be crying then.”
Zhou Youlu had spoken, and no one at the table said anything else. However, there was a lot of leftover rice that wasn’t eaten.
After Xu An and Zhou Yu finished dinner, she looked at Zhou Yu expectantly, “Zhou Yu, do you think I can sell this if I take it out?”
Zhou Yu paused in his dishwashing. The woman’s early morning intentions were finally explained. No wonder she had been wandering around the early market again and again. She had already planned this.
His gaze fell on the woman’s moist and expectant eyes. Zhou Yu, for once, didn’t say anything sarcastic. His tone was flat.
“Yes.”
This man’s “yes” meant “yes, there are many.”
Xu An automatically translated it. She nodded affirmatively. She also thought that she would definitely be able to sell it. There would definitely be many people who would buy it. Her first fortune was just around the corner.
