He was simply infuriating!
“Get out, out, out! You came back just to make me mad. Hurry and leave!” Grandpa immediately shooed Chi Yao away.
Chi Yao stood up and walked out of the garden, but he wasn’t really going to leave. He stayed overnight at his grandfather’s house.
During dinner, Grandpa saw that Chi Yao was still there and gave him a cold look.
“Good night, Grandpa,” Chi Yao said to him before going to bed.
“Get out, get out! You’ve made me so angry I can’t even sleep!” Grandpa threw a tantrum like a child.
Chi Yao suddenly found Grandpa adorable and let out a laugh. Seeing his grandfather’s face darken, he quickly stifled his smile.
The next morning, after breakfast, Chi Yao left. As he was about to leave, Grandpa stood behind him, pretending not to care, but he was reluctant to see him go.
A few minutes after leaving, Chi Yao unexpectedly returned, catching his grandfather off guard.
“Grandpa, you have a lot of health supplements here. I’ll just take a few.” Chi Yao rushed inside and grabbed a bunch. Many of these were no longer available on the market, making them perfect for his pregnancy.
The housekeeper was cleaning at the time, and Grandpa grabbed a broom to chase Chi Yao, who dodged swiftly and ran away laughing.
As he sat in the car, Chi Yao still had a faint smile on his face. The driver in front glanced back at him, but Chi Yao’s smile gradually faded.
When he returned home, he handed the supplements to the housekeeper and didn’t bother with them further.
A week later, Chang Feng contacted Chi Yao, saying he had selected three houses in excellent locations. He suggested that Chi Yao personally check them out to decide which one to buy.
That same day, Shen Ling returned from abroad and called Chi Yao, inviting him to dinner at Xiyue Pavilion in the evening.
“Just the two of us?”
“There will be some other people,” Shen Ling said, without mentioning who they were.
“Fine, that’s okay,” Chi Yao replied indifferently, seemingly happy that Shen Ling had taken the initiative to contact him.
At the time, Fu Rong was standing next to Shen Ling. Shen Ling knew that Fu Rong had urgent business to attend to and asked if he should send a driver to drop him off.
“It’s not that urgent. We can talk after dinner,” Fu Rong said. For some reason, knowing Shen Ling would meet Chi Yao that night made Fu Rong want to stay and see Chi Yao too.
After that night at the club, Fu Rong initially thought it was just a passing incident, something he would soon forget.
But strangely, he couldn’t. Sometimes he even dreamed about another scenario — Chi Yao in his arms, not blindfolded, with black hair and deep black eyes, looking at him seductively, constantly demanding more.
The dream felt so real that when Fu Rong woke up, he wondered if he had remembered things incorrectly.
That night at the club, had he actually slept with Chi Yao, not the boy who was supposed to pay off the debt?
The more Fu Rong thought about it, the more suspicious it seemed. So, he called the club’s manager, pressuring him to provide information on the boy. The manager, under pressure, handed over the details. However, when Fu Rong sent people to find the boy at his supposed school, they discovered no such person existed. No matter how hard they looked, they couldn’t find him.
Fu Rong contacted the manager again, but the manager claimed to know nothing more. He only said that the boy had applied with a student ID and health report. The manager, eager to make money, hadn’t thought much of it at the time.
The trail had gone to an end, and no matter how much Fu Rong investigated, he couldn’t uncover any more information.
Now that he was back in the country, Fu Rong planned to investigate further. He didn’t want to be deceived.
As for Chi Yao, he wanted to confirm things with him once more.
Shen Ling had no idea that Fu Rong was delaying his departure to see Chi Yao. He thought Fu Rong simply wasn’t in a rush. Shen Ling returned home, while Fu Rong headed to his hotel.
That evening, they met at the restaurant for dinner.
When Fu Rong arrived, Chi Yao was already there, even before Shen Ling, who had texted to say he would be half an hour late due to a small issue.
So, it was just Chi Yao and Fu Rong for now. Fu Rong walked straight over to Chi Yao.
Chi Yao was drinking plain water, not alcohol. As he drank, Fu Rong lowered his eyes and stared at him intently.
Chi Yao drank most of the water before finally looking up, meeting Fu Rong’s gaze.
Fu Rong’s expression was strange, and Chi Yao smiled. “What’s up?”
His smile was cold, and his voice sharp.
“I met someone recently.”
“I don’t care if you met a pig,” Chi Yao retorted, his tone prickly, clearly not wanting much to do with Fu Rong.
Fu Rong’s dark gaze softened slightly. “That person looked a lot like you. If it weren’t for the different hair and eye colors, I would have thought it was you.”
Fu Rong bent down, placing one hand in front of Chi Yao and the other on the back of Chi Yao’s chair, practically trapping him in his embrace.
Squinting, Fu Rong stared intently at Chi Yao’s face, trying to discern something unusual, but Chi Yao revealed nothing.
Disgust and indifference dominated his expression.
“Looks like me? You must be losing your eyesight. What’s this, have you fallen for me?”
“When did you develop such good taste, Fu Rong?”
Chi Yao’s words were laced with sarcasm, mocking Fu Rong while praising himself.
“That person slept with me. Do you know who I mistook him for?”
Fu Rong suddenly leaned close, his lips brushing Chi Yao’s ear as he whispered two words.
As soon as Fu Rong said those words, Chi Yao’s water glass fell to the floor with a thud.
In the next instant, Chi Yao’s fist flew towards Fu Rong’s face, his eyes burning with rage.
Fu Rong seemed to anticipate Chi Yao’s reaction and was ready. He grabbed Chi Yao’s hand, and what he did next made Chi Yao tremble with fury.
Fu Rong kissed him, pulling Chi Yao close and pinning him against the table, gripping his waist tightly as he kissed him fiercely.
