Su Wan and Su Qin both inherited their parents’ outstanding looks.
The difference is that Su Qin leans towards a more refined and understated beauty, while Su Wan resembles their mother more, with a strikingly beautiful appearance that draws people’s eyes.
In comparison, Su Qin’s hard-earned status seems a bit forced, and her slightly weaker aura fails to support her role as the legitimate daughter.
Upon arriving at the filming location, several people were already waiting there.
“You’re here. Wen Chenyu, make sure to chat with the other actors while you have time; just because it’s a TV drama doesn’t mean you can look down on it.”
Wen Chenyu smiled slightly and pressed his lips together, “Sure.”
He wore a moon-white long robe and held a folding fan in one hand, adjusting his robe before looking toward Su Wan.
His side profile was sharp and well-defined, with long, crescent-shaped eyes that held a hint of a smile even when he was expressionless.
Su Wan was momentarily taken aback and sincerely complimented, “You’re really good-looking.”
Wen Chenyu blinked in surprise before smiling back at her, his beautiful eyes curving into crescent moons.
“Thank you.”
“Hello, I’m Su Qin.”
Suddenly, Su Qin squeezed between the two, introducing herself with a bright smile, “We have quite a few scenes together, so I hope we can support each other.”
Wen Chenyu watched her leave with a somewhat surprised expression, ignoring Su Qin beside him.
Today wasn’t their turn for scenes together, but Su Wan still earnestly practiced lines with him, asking for advice. This gave Wen Chenyu a fresh perspective on this “midnight business” blacklisted woman.
He was willing to offer a bit of guidance as well.
Little did he know how precious his advice was.
He was also unaware of the jealous, reddening gaze from Su Qin.
After a long day of filming, Su Wan was exhausted but still had to muster up energy for interviews.
Meanwhile, as the actors took a break, Director Meng asked him, “How’s it going?”
Wen Chenyu smiled and replied, “Pretty good.”
“If you say it’s good, then it’s good.”
No matter if it was truly good or just pretended to be, as long as he was willing to cooperate, Director Meng was satisfied.
“What about Su Qin…”
“Hmm?”
Wen Chenyu frowned slightly before smiling as he said, “Sometimes she tries too hard and ends up looking more like a dog than a tiger. She’s too impatient.”
Today’s interview mainly focused on the trending topic about the wire incident from yesterday, and Su Wan handled the entire thing gracefully. She even actively interacted with Su Qin, showing no signs of the rumored arrogance.
With this interview, the public perception shifted a bit.
Outsiders were spreading rumors that Su Qin was a love child, indicating discord between the sisters. The original host had always rejected the idea of them working together, and today was the first time they were interviewed as a pair. No one expected Su Wan to be so relaxed and cheerful throughout, showing no signs of unhappiness.
Was Su Qin’s apparent victimization at Su Wan’s hands… true?
Some began to have doubts.
Others started comparing the two sisters.
“I finally understand why they seem so out of sync. It’s all for Su Qin’s good; standing beside Su Wan, she looks like a maid. I know Su Qin has a lot of fans, but don’t argue; arguing just proves my point.”
“One mother is an executive president and chairwoman, while the other is an outside daughter who climbed up through the Su family. There’s a fundamental difference.”
“Su Qin really has been overshadowed…”
“Damn, no comparison means no harm; Su Wan is just too beautiful! I want to turn her into a beauty influencer!”
“Su Wan’s divine beauty” became a trending topic on Weibo, sparking a wave of discussion.
Xiao Zheng refreshed Weibo every few minutes on the van, and seeing the follower count rise made him giddy, happier than the person involved.
Su Wan looked at her phone notifications, feeling distressed as she rubbed her brow.
“I’m not going home; I’m going to the Su family.”
Xiao Zheng exclaimed in surprise, “What are you going back for?”
“Called back for dinner.”
Su Wan simply couldn’t bring herself to call her father, especially not a man who had cheated during his marriage.
Xiao Zheng pursed his lips.
No wonder Su Qin had been all smiles after answering the phone just now, her gloomy mood from earlier lifting as she went to change clothes in the costume room.
“Someone else will definitely be going too. I really don’t know who’s the real family.”
Su Wan smiled reassuringly, “It’s just a meal. It’s nothing to worry about.”
