Chapter 12 : You Must Be Better Than Your Sister

“Auntie, I came to see if there’s anything at home I can help with.” Jiang Ting didn’t pay much attention to Lin Hongxia’s attitude.

It was common for mothers-in-law to be haughty, especially city mothers-in-law.

Before Lin Hongxia could say anything, a girl with braided hair walked out from inside.

Jiang Ting quickly stepped forward to get closer. “You must be Xiangyun, right? Are you here to wash clothes? Let me do that for you.”

Fu Xiangyun hesitated for a moment, then, catching Lin Hongxia’s look, handed her the basin.

Jiang Ting didn’t notice the sarcasm in Lin Hongxia’s eyes and worked diligently in the yard, washing the clothes.

Fu Xiangyun stood beside Lin Hongxia and muttered, “It’s so late, did she really come all the way here to wash clothes for us? Is she crazy?”

Lin Hongxia sneered. “This is what country folks are like, so pitiful. They finally found a city partner, and they better hold on tight.”

Jiang Ting’s eagerness didn’t satisfy Lin Hongxia instead, it made her look down on her even more.

Fu Xiangyun whispered, “Is she staying at our place tonight?”

It was unreasonable to stay the night when there was a banquet in the countryside tomorrow.

Lin Hongxia pulled her lips into a thin smile and said coldly, “If she wants to, let her do as she pleases.”

Before long, they heard a voice from next door “Hongxia, is this your relative?”

The north house of the communal courtyard housed both the Fu family and the Sun family.

The one speaking was Sun Zailiang’s mother.

Lin Hongxia smiled. “No, she’s Xiangyang’s future bride.”

Sun’s mother seemed taken aback and looked down on Jiang Ting’s actions but continued to praise her excessively.

“You’re really capable, you can look forward to a life of comfort in the future.”

Lin Hongxia wasn’t truly satisfied with Jiang Ting and secretly thought her son deserved someone better.

But since the marriage was already settled, she just went along with the compliments. “Yes, once Xiangyang marries, I’ll have it much easier.”

Hearing Lin Hongxia’s words, Jiang Ting worked even harder to show off.

Sun’s mother inwardly scoffed, thinking Jiang Ting was such a naive girl.

Once she was married, there would be plenty of work for her.

“I heard your daughter-in-law is a twin? Maybe she’ll have a pair of dragon and phoenix twins for you in the future.”

Jiang Ting felt quite pleased, in her previous life, she had three children, and her second pregnancy had been dragon and phoenix twins.

Unlike Jiang Ting, who was like a hen that didn’t lay eggs, and yet Fu Xiangyang treasured her.

Lin Hongxia’s smile stiffened for a moment before she nodded dismissively.

“Let’s hope so.”

The west house had originally belonged to the Zhang family, but after the father and son both passed away, it was left to Xu Lihua and Lin Rui, both of whom became widows.

The only Zhang left was their youngest son, Zhang Jiahua, who was still in high school.

Xu Lihua, sharp-eared, immediately asked upon hearing about the twins, “Old Lin, is your daughter-in-law the older sister?”

Lin Hongxia shook her head. “Sister Xu, Jiang Ting is the younger one.”

Xu Lihua’s eyes flickered. “Has the older sister already married?”

Jiang Ting replied with a smile, “Auntie, my sister hasn’t married yet.”

Xu Lihua exclaimed, puzzled, “Then why did you get introduced first? Your sister hasn’t marrie, it shouldn’t be your turn yet.”

Jiang Ting’s face showed some displeasure. “There’s no order in matchmaking, Xiangyang chose me, what can I do?”

Xu Lihua raised an eyebrow. “If Xiangyang likes you, you must be better than your sister.”

Lin Hongxia finally looked somewhat satisfied. “In matchmaking, it’s natural to pick the best. If Jiang Ting weren’t good enough, Xiangyang wouldn’t have chosen her, he’s not blind.”

Everyone nodded in agreement, that made sense.

Before long, Fu Xiangyang returned.

Everyone chimed in, “Xiangyang, your wife is here!”

Initially, Fu Xiangyang thought Jiang Ting was quite nice, but since he had seen someone more beautiful yesterday, he felt Jiang Ting seemed a bit dull now.

Seeing her again today didn’t evoke any sense of amazement, his attitude was even somewhat perfunctory and cold.

“What are you doing here?”

Jiang Ting looked at him helplessly, feeling a hint of crisis.

“I came to see if there’s anything I can help with at home.”

Lin Hongxia ordered “Jiang Ting, go home and cook after washing the clothes.”

When Jiang Ting heard this, she realized that he wanted her to stay for dinner, so she definitely didn’t need to go back tonight.

In order to please Fu Xiangyang, she personally prepared four dishes and a soup so that he would understand how virtuous she was.

But Fu Xiangyang still looked cold and indifferent.

The Fu family occupied two northern rooms, which were later divided into three small rooms, so the space was not spacious.

Fu Xiangyang lives alone in one room, his parents live in one room, and his older sister lives in one room.

Later, when the elder sister got married, the younger sister also had her own room.

Fu Xiangyun was somewhat reluctant and was just about to ask Jiang Ting to stay with hier for the night.

Jiang Ting was very outgoing and took the initiative to say, “Xiangyang and I can just sleep in the same room.”

When these words came out, Lin Hongxia’s face turned dark.

You haven’t even gotten married yet, but you can’t wait for just a few days?

“It’s up to you. If you want, then it’s fine.”

Jiang Ting is now intent on pleasing Fu Xiangyang, so how could she be unwilling?

At night, she could finally lie in the same bed with Fu Xiangyang. She was so excited as she looked forward to a better life.

But the man next to him was surprisingly calm.

Jiang Ting bit her lips tightly. After all, she was a virgin and pretty, so why didn’t he react?

Fu Xiangyang didn’t move, but Jiang Ting was unwilling to give up and took the initiative to reach out to him.

She was married and knew a lot about men’s bodies.

After a while, she heard Fu Xiangyang’s breathing quicken, and he turned over and pressed her under him.

Jiang Ting was very satisfied with his reaction, but she just had to wait until they were truly in perfect harmony…

Huh? Why is it so small?

But no matter what, in order to maintain the man’s self-esteem, she had to pretend to enjoy it, even if it was fake.

Then she discovered…

In less than two minutes, Fu Xiangyang stopped and lay on top of her, panting.

Jiang Ting bit her lip. Maybe every man is different.

She originally thought that since her goal had been achieved, she would call it a night.

Now that he had taken her body, Fu Xiangyang could no longer deny it.

Unexpectedly, Fu Xiangyang got up again and said, “Tingting, it feels good, let’s do it again.”

That night, Jiang Ting felt that her body was not very tired, but her throat was suffering.

What she didn’t expect was that this was a slum, not in the countryside, and the sound insulation was not good.

Except for the independent small courtyard on the south side, which has better privacy, everyone can hear any noise from other houses.

Especially the Fu family.

Fu Xiangyun blushed the whole night, feeling extremely embarrassed listening to Jiang Ting’s unbearable voice.

Lin Hongxia spat, “Shameless bitch!”

Fu Xiangyang’s father Fu Aiguo was very embarrassed, as if he had deliberately eavesdropped on his son and daughter-in-law.

“Stop talking and go to sleep.”

He lifted the quilt to cover his head, which at least blocked out some of the sound, but it was too damn hot.

What they didn’t know was that when they woke up the next day, everyone was discussing Jiang Ting and Fu Xiangyang, as well as their embarrassing moments.
