Chapter 3: Void Floating Land
“Di Rui Er, are you full now? Do you want more to eat?”
The voice, warm enough to make Di Rui Er feel a bit uncomfortable, asked Elena, the little dragon who had been paying attention to his eating all along and had a look of inexplicable satisfaction on her face.
“No need, I’m already quite full,” Di Rui Er replied.
Di Rui Er lowered his head and extended his small claws, touching the slightly bulging scales on his belly. He had eaten at least as much shark meat as his own body weight.

“Di Rui Er, are you full already? Would you like to eat more?”
The voice, so enthusiastic that it made Di Rui Er somewhat uncomfortable, came from Elena, the young dragon who had been attentively watching him eat from beginning to end, her face showing a strange satisfaction.
“No, I’m good. I’m already quite full,” Di Rui Er replied.
Di Rui Er lowered his head, extending his small claws to touch the slightly bulging scales on his belly. He had eaten at least as much shark meat as his own body weight.
“Are you sure you’re full? You could actually eat a bit more. Don’t worry about me; Mother will be back soon,” Elena leaned closer, extending her claws to touch Di Rui Er’s belly, causing it to involuntarily contract a bit.
“I really can’t eat anymore. I’m feeling a bit tired and would like to continue sleeping,” Di Rui Er backed away slightly. The excessive warmth and care from this sister made him feel somewhat uncomfortable.
This is extremely rare among other dragon clans, even impossible to occur, but quite common among the Bronze Dragon Clan. However, he needs some time to adjust.
“Oh, I see. Then you continue sleeping.”
Seeing Di Rui Er keeping a distance from her, Elena seemed somewhat oblivious, still warm but no longer pressing closer.
“Aren’t you feeling sleepy?”
Seeing Di Rui Er keeping a distance from her, Elena seemed somewhat oblivious, still warm but no longer pressing closer.
“Don’t you feel sleepy?”
Once the hunger in his body was satisfied, the drowsiness surged in like the tide, wave after wave, incessant and increasingly intense.
For dragons, this is a completely normal physiological phenomenon. Newly hatched dragonlings primarily need to eat and sleep. During this stage of life, their bodies grow rapidly.
However, the vast majority of dragonlings do not have such a comfortable environment for growth. Besides struggling to find food, they often have to resist the urge to sleep, forcing themselves to stay alert and hunt on their own.
Especially those evil dragons, even if they throw the leftover scraps to their just-hatched offspring, they are considered responsible.
As for being well-fed? Nonexistent.
Want to fill your stomach? Eat dirt!
“After my mother returns, I’ll go back into dragon slumber. The dragon’s nest needs one dragon to remain awake. You go ahead and sleep, I’ll take care of everything.”
“I’ll go back into dragon slumber after my mother returns. The dragon’s nest needs one dragon to remain awake. You go ahead and sleep, I’ll take care of everything.”
The tender dragon language echoed in the nest. Subconsciously rejecting such contact, Di Rui’er hesitated for a moment. He glanced at his sister, imprinting her image of a small body with a large head firmly in his mind, and curled up on the ground.
“Then I’ll sleep first. Next time, if father and mother are not here, I’ll guard the dragon’s nest.”
After saying that, Di Rui’er, already drowsy, no longer resisted the urge to sleep. Like a nimble cat, he curled up into a ball and once again entered into a deep slumber.
“Next time?”
Upon hearing Di Rui’er’s words, Elena was also taken aback. But before she could say anything, she saw her little brother slipping into dragon slumber. His belly, stuffed full with shark meat, rhythmically rose and fell, slowly sinking down.
“Shua!
A dazzling and indescribable brilliance flashed before his eyes. Di Rui’er’s hazy consciousness quickly awakened, but he soon realized the peculiarity of his current state.
Neither fully asleep nor fully awake. His mind regained clarity, but his dragon body remained in deep slumber. He could feel his heart beating rhythmically.
“What is this?”
Di Rui’er quickly ceased to dwell on his current peculiar state because the scenery his consciousness was observing at the moment was more captivating.
It was a magnificent and dazzling starry sky, described inadequately by any words, possessing a grandeur and vast beauty that struck deep into the soul.
Di Rui’er soon thought about the starry sky he had once admired in the high-altitude mountainous regions. However, compared to the splendor he was witnessing now, the beauty he had seen back then seemed insignificant.
Because within this expanse of stars shining before him, the stars seemed within arm’s reach, as if he could pluck a few just by extending his claws.
However, amidst this majestic and grand scene, there was an immensely discordant colossal celestial body compared to the stars, a floating landmass-like structure spanning across the sky.
“What is this?”
A celestial creation comparable to the stars themselves, the impact it had on Di Rui’er was beyond that of gazing at the starry sky, as the artificial marks upon it were too distinct.
Spanning majestically across the starry expanse was a vast floating landmass, at its center a grand structure resembling a pyramid crafted from stacked rocks. The weathered traces bore the marks of eons past, enduring through timeless ages.
“Who built this? A place of worship? Offerings to whom?”
Clearly in a state between half-dream and half-awake, Di Rui’er was fully aware of his condition. Yet, upon seeing this floating landmass spanning the starry sky, he felt an inexplicable sensation, affirming the reality of the landmass and the pyramid at its center as celestial creations.
Moreover, Di Rui’er sensed an indescribable allure from the floating landmass before him, compelling him to eagerly desire to ascend it.
As he thought about it, the pyramid that spanned the starry sky, emanating an aura of eternal immortality, rapidly enlarged before his eyes. His consciousness was truly approaching the floating landmass.
Meteor!
When Di Rui’er’s consciousness stepped onto the floating landmass where the pyramid stood, a sudden realization struck him. This was the meteor that had struck him, leading to his reincarnation and transformation into a bronze dragon hatchling.
Roar! *Chomp* *Rip*—
His hazy consciousness quickly returned to clarity. The stars faded away, the pyramid blurred, and as Di Rui’er opened his eyes, he saw three bronze dragon hatchlings feasting on an unidentified fish.
“Di Rui’er, my child!”
A head much larger than his current body size leaned over, bringing with it a strong oceanic scent. Di Rui’er quickly retreated several body lengths, creating distance. Only then did he see a sleek and dignified bronze dragon, looking at him with a face full of love.
“Did you sleep well?”
“Mother.”
Di Rui’er quickly lowered his head. At this moment, he had no intention of pondering the starry altar that appeared in his dream. Another fish, larger than his body but smaller than a tuna, was presented before him.
The fish was still thrashing about, clearly just pulled from the sea and now in its dying struggle.
“Are you hungry? Eat up first, then you can get to know your brothers and sisters!”
Having already grown into a bronze dragon destined to be a ruler of the seas, the tone was intimate, contrasting with the majestic appearance.
