Gu Shenyuan’s gaze was terrifying, to put it objectively, but Ye Qingyun only felt a sense of safety.
What did it mean that he had found him? Did it mean finding the bad guys or locating where he was?
Before Ye Qingyun could make a judgment, he heard the man who had been holding him call out and suddenly release his grip.
Ye Qingyun turned in confusion, seeing that the man had one hand pressed against the wrist he had been holding, blood trickling through his fingers, his expression revealing a hint of fear.
How had he suddenly been injured?
Ye Qingyun looked at his shoulder in confusion and found something there.
A layer of black mist was obediently resting on his shoulder, striving to expand as much as possible, trying to protect him.
“How is this possible? How is this possible?” The smoking man stared in disbelief, his eyes wide.
Things were not unfolding as he had imagined! Not only was Gu Shenyuan not confused, but he was also coming over with a clear consciousness!
Could it be that Gu Shenyuan had some kind of functional disorder related to that temporary ability agent, rendering him unaffected by it?
No wonder, no wonder they were sleeping in the same room yet had separate beds!
Damn it!
Ye Qingyun was taken aback for a moment and reached out to touch the black mist. That terrifying black mist felt as soft as a cotton ball in his hand, incredibly comfortable to touch.
The presence of this thing here meant that Gu Shenyuan had discovered their location… Gu Shenyuan was coming soon.
The other two realized this as well. They looked at Ye Qingyun, a glint of menace flashing in their eyes.
If that man had discovered this place so quickly, then even if they tried to escape, they would likely be found immediately. Since that was the case, it was better to tie up Ye Qingyun while that guy hadn’t arrived yet, using him as leverage to threaten Gu Shenyuan into letting them go.
After all, that strange black mist was still so minimal; could they not handle it?
If Gu Shenyuan wasn’t here to deal with them, but rather had been provoked by the emotional separation agent and was coming to vent his displeasure on Ye Qingyun, then they could simply push Ye Qingyun out to take the brunt of Gu Shenyuan’s anger, allowing themselves to escape.
Moreover, that latter possibility was as high as eighty percent.
Having made their decision, the two men immediately advanced toward Ye Qingyun.
Ye Qingyun stood up warily and took a step back, warning, “I advise you not to make a mistake again. If you still think you can take advantage of me, you will end up dead. Treat me a little better; who knows, I might be happy enough to say a good word for you.”
“Naive,” the smoking man sneered. He certainly wouldn’t comply with Ye Qingyun’s wishes, so he intentionally provoked him, saying, “How do you know he’s coming to save you? Ha, he’s inhaled the separation agent; what kind of feelings do you think he has for you now?”
Ye Qingyun fell silent.
He certainly knew that Gu Shenyuan was likely feeling hatred toward him—hatred for his existence and for liking him, which had brought so many shackles upon himself.
The man continued to mock him while gesturing for the man in black to sneak up on Ye Qingyun and grab him quietly: “Do you think he’s coming to deal with us? Don’t kid yourself; the first person he’s coming for is you!”
Ye Qingyun took step by step toward the door, not speaking.
These people weren’t just trying to scare him; what they said was very likely to happen.
As the man in black stealthily approached, Ye Qingyun dodged, only to be pinned against the wall by another person.
“Run? Run where? Run outside and get killed by your angry little lover?” The smoking man laughed wildly, throwing Ye Qingyun’s earlier words back at him. “Flatter me, and maybe I’ll help you say a good word!”
Ye Qingyun glared at the man, who stared at his face for a moment, eyes flashing with astonishment. He then lowered his head slightly and said in a hoarse voice, “Little boy, flatter me.”
With that, the man leaned in to kiss him.
Ye Qingyun would rather die at Gu Shenyuan’s hands than flatter this guy. He was just about to bite down when his lips didn’t meet the disgusting man but instead something soft and fluffy.
He bit into Gu Shenyuan’s ability black mist.
The thick, inky black mist surged in from every crack, enveloping Ye Qingyun without leaving a single gap, isolating him from the man who had been holding him.
Ye Qingyun was plunged into darkness, hearing only the screams of the two men outside.
Before long, the screams stopped.
Ye Qingyun swallowed hard, catching the scent of blood. It seemed the two men’s fates were clear.
Gu Shenyuan was very angry.
Was he angry because he had been kidnapped, or was he angry because of the separation agent, recalling the bloodline confinement?
Was Gu Shenyuan going to kill him next?
In the darkness, Ye Qingyun heard the sound of a door opening, and a single step slowly approached him.
As the black mist dissipated, a figure stood before him.
Ye Qingyun looked up and met Gu Shenyuan’s gloomy gaze, causing him to shiver.
Gu Shenyuan had a beautiful face, but he wore an expression that could stop a child from crying.
Ye Qingyun wasn’t a child, but he was still frightened.
Gu Shenyuan was furious—not just angry at those who had kidnapped him… but also at him.
Ye Qingyun blinked and lowered his head.
He understood that Gu Shenyuan would be angry.
With Gu Shenyuan’s cold personality, he would want to keep his distance from others for life. He wouldn’t want to fall in love with anyone or be bound, becoming a weapon to be used by others.
He couldn’t imagine what it would be like to have a bloodline that demanded he remain single forever, only to suddenly fall in love with someone…
No matter how much he liked that person, there would be some dissatisfaction deep down. Dissatisfaction over the loss of freedom and unhappiness at having every move controlled. Under the influence of the drug, this dissatisfaction would be infinitely amplified, ultimately becoming the dominant emotion.
Sigh, he wondered if Gu Shenyuan wanted to hit him or yell at him. If he just wanted to yell, that would be fine, but if he wanted to hit him… well, he couldn’t fight back anyway; he still hoped Gu Shenyuan would show mercy.
Even if he died, it wouldn’t be a real death, but what if Gu Shenyuan couldn’t bear the torment of bloodline confinement and chose to accompany him in death?
That would truly hurt him while causing Gu Shenyuan emotional pain! Surely Gu Shenyuan would be gentle, right?
Gu Shenyuan moved.
Ye Qingyun immediately closed his eyes, like an ostrich burying its head in the sand to escape reality.
The expected pain didn’t come; instead, Ye Qingyun felt a strong hand firmly gripping his waist, pulling him into a solid embrace.
Ye Qingyun’s attention shifted to his back. In this position, it was clear that Gu Shenyuan would find it easiest to hit his back.
However, after waiting for a long time, Ye Qingyun still didn’t feel any pain.
Gu Shenyuan’s grip was so strong it felt like he wanted to meld Ye Qingyun into his arms, leaving him no chance to escape, yet there were no other attacking movements.
But that was the most unsettling part.
Ye Qingyun opened his eyes and said tremblingly, “You… just say what you want to say; don’t hold it in. Holding it in isn’t good for you.”
“Say it?” Gu Shenyuan pressed his cheek against Ye Qingyun’s and spoke in a flat tone, “Do you want to hear it?”
This face-to-face action was something Gu Shenyuan would never usually do, highlighting how greatly he was affected now. Ye Qingyun immediately nodded vigorously, “I want to hear; I’ll listen to anything you say.”
Gu Shenyuan was silent for a moment, tightening his grip on Ye Qingyun’s waist, and coldly said, “There’s no need to say it. You don’t have a chance to leave anymore. I’ll buy you a big house… no, a planet. We’ll stay there, and you’ll never think of leaving your entire life.”
Ye Qingyun was stunned.
What a nonsensical and irrelevant topic! Shouldn’t Gu Shenyuan be angrily rebuking him for disrupting his plans and causing him to lose his freedom, which was far more important than love?
Ye Qingyun leaned back slightly, looking at Gu Shenyuan’s somber expression, asking, “Is that what you want to tell me?”
He wanted Gu Shenyuan to vent his frustrations on him!
Gu Shenyuan’s dark eyes looked at him, filled with a myriad of emotions… except for what Ye Qingyun expected to see.
Ye Qingyun’s heart skipped a beat. Before Gu Shenyuan could speak, he took the initiative and continued, “You can tell me all about your disrupted life and the inconveniences I caused you. You can express any dissatisfaction; don’t hold it in.”
Gu Shenyuan stared directly into Ye Qingyun’s eyes, enunciating each word: “But I like it.”
Whether it was a disrupted life or various inconveniences, as long as it came from Ye Qingyun, he liked it.
Ye Qingyun closed his eyes, unable to look any longer.
At that moment, he finally realized something.
Gu Shenyuan was completely and willingly bound by him.
Ye Qingyun’s upper body, which had been leaning back, was pressed down again by Gu Shenyuan, bringing Ye Qingyun completely against him.
Ye Qingyun could hear Gu Shenyuan’s strong heartbeat and his muffled voice: “If we’re talking about dissatisfaction, besides your constant desire to leave, there’s one more thing.”
Ye Qingyun remained silent, waiting for Gu Shenyuan to continue.
“You always like others,” Gu Shenyuan tightened his embrace around the person, “Forget him, and just take a look at me.”
