Chapter 88
Chapter 88: Of Course I’m Flirting with You
Gu Bai still hadn’t returned.
Su Xueyin was a little worried and was about to go outside to find him, when a hand suddenly grabbed her sleeve.
“Daoist Su, I’m cold.”
As he spoke, Yue Qingxi moved a little closer to her, his eyelashes drooping softly, making him seem somewhat vulnerable.
Su Xueyin replied in a daze:
“Then I’ll make the fire hotter.”
Yue Qingxi leaned closer, his voice soft and slow, his ending notes slightly raised:
“Daoist Su… can I sit next to you?”
The warmth brushed past her ear, and Su Xueyin shivered slightly.
Looking at Yue Qingxi, who was only a few inches away, she stammered:
“You’re too… too close.”
Yue Qingxi smiled like a fox:
“Daoist Su, why are you blushing?”
Su Xueyin hurriedly leaned back, creating distance between them, breathing quickly:
“Flirtatious! You’re so flirtatious!”
She got up to leave.
Yue Qingxi was still holding her sleeve, tightening his grip slightly, causing her to stumble and sit back down.
“Don’t move.”
Throwing down those words, he suddenly pressed closer to her.
“Slap!”
Su Xueyin was so startled that she slapped him, her eyes red:
“Ayao was right, you are a frivolous, flirtatious scoundrel!”
Yue Qingxi didn’t change his expression after being slapped, and continued to approach her.
Su Xueyin was about to slap him again.
He easily caught her hand, and his other hand shot out towards her back.
When he retracted it, there was a red-eyed snow scorpion between his fingers.
Extremely poisonous.
“Daoist Su,” he shook the scorpion, his lips curled, “You almost died just now.”
Su Xueyin understood, her face flushed red, and she quickly apologized:
“I’m sorry, I misunderstood you, I…”
Yue Qingxi released her hand and threw the snow scorpion into the fire.
He touched the mark of the slap on his face, sighing:
“I wonder if it’s disfigured.”
Su Xueyin was very embarrassed.
Yue Qingxi’s expression became even more dejected:
“Kindness in saving someone, yet being called a frivolous scoundrel, it’s truly heartbreaking.”
Su Xueyin felt restless:
“I’m truly sorry, I… why don’t you slap me back?”
As if she had finally found a solution, she turned to face him, closing her eyes tightly:
“Go ahead, no matter how much it hurts, I’ll endure it, I definitely won’t tell my senior brother and sisters.”
After waiting for a while, the person in front of her still didn’t move.
She opened her eyes and urged:
“Hurry up and hit me, my senior brother will be back soon.”
“Okay.”
The fire crackled.
Yue Qingxi stared straight at her, slowly moving closer.
Closer and closer.
Su Xueyin was confused:
“What are you doing?”
Yue Qingxi said helplessly:
“I’m flirting with you, Daoist Su.”
Su Xueyin’s eyes widened.
Suddenly, a hand gently covered her eyes, the palm cool.
Through the back of her hand, the young man in purple kissed her eyes.
He quickly pulled back.
Su Xueyin clutched her collar, blinking rapidly, her eyelashes brushing against his palm:
“You… what are you doing again?”
Yue Qingxi chuckled:
“I’m being flirtatious, Daoist Su.”
With a “boom,” fireworks began to explode in Su Xueyin’s mind.
They exploded, making her dizzy, her limbs weak, her heart pounding.
After a long time, she opened her mouth, struggling to find her voice:
“I don’t like you like this, I like Senior Brother and Xiao Zhuochen like that.”
She kept repeating this sentence, not sure if she was saying it to herself or to him.
Yue Qingxi released his hand, looking at her flustered eyes, and asked seriously:
“What kind of person am I?”
Su Xueyin blurted out:
“You don’t know how many female cultivators you’ve…”
As she spoke, she quickly bit her tongue, swallowing the rest of her words, covering her flushed face.
Yue Qingxi was silent for a moment, looking away:
“I haven’t.”
Su Xueyin didn’t understand, and stared at him blankly.
Yue Qingxi said:
“I said I haven’t… done anything with other female cultivators.”
Su Xueyin: “How is that possible, you’re a disciple of the Hehuan Sect… don’t all the people from the Hehuan Sect…”
Yue Qingxi:
“Not everyone from the Hehuan Sect… does that.”
The air was silent for a moment.
Su Xueyin covered her mouth, unable to believe it:
“You”
Yue Qingxi nodded silently.
“Junior Sister.”
Footsteps echoed from the entrance of the cave.
Gu Bai, returning from slaying the demon, brushed the snow off his clothes:
“We can go now.”
Su Xueyin felt like she had found a lifeline, fleeing to his side:
“Let’s go.”
Gu Bai glanced at Yue Qingxi in the cave, frowned, and turned to leave with her.
After walking a distance, he said to Su Xueyin:
“Stay away from the people of the Hehuan Sect in the future.”
Su Xueyin mumbled:
“Why?”
Gu Bai hesitated:
“The disciples of the Hehuan Sect are not very… proper, they’ll corrupt you.”
Su Xueyin: “Oh.”
After a while, she said again:
“Actually, Yue Qingxi is a pretty good person.”
Gu Bai: “……You’ve been seduced by him.”
He spoke with certainty.
Su Xueyin hurriedly shook her head:
“I haven’t.”
Gu Bai:
“I’ve only been gone for a short while, and you’ve already been seduced by him.”
Su Xueyin: “I really haven’t!”
Gu Bai took a deep breath:
“Do you know how many sword cultivators have been ruined by the disciples of the Hehuan Sect?”
“They’re all masters at playing the field, eight out of ten sentences are lies, can you tell the difference between their sincerity and their deception?”
Su Xueyin lowered her head:
“But I just feel like he wouldn’t lie to me.”
Gu Bai put on a stern face:
“You feel like it? You can’t judge people by their appearance, how can you rely on ‘feeling’ for everything? Besides, how long have you two known each other?”
Su Xueyin felt a little wronged:
“Senior Brother is right.”
Gu Bai: “Listen to Senior Brother, don’t see him again.”
Su Xueyin looked back at the cave in the wind and snow:
“Okay.”
Inside the cave.
The fire slowly died down, the cold silently encroaching.
The young man stroked the white fox fur on the edge of the cloak, sighing heavily.
“She still can’t remember me.”
“Why are you so agitated?”
In the forest, Qing Gui dodged the incoming sword energy, sneering:
“Don’t tell me you’ve actually fallen for that Sang Yun Ling.”
Xie Chenzhou’s eyes were filled with murderous intent, he slashed dozens of swords in a row, instantly sealing all of Qing Gui’s escape routes.
Qing Gui’s expression changed:
“I’m here to retrieve another shard, it’s on a snake demon! The Lord ordered you to assist me!”
“Clang”
The sword wind stopped, the blade only three inches from his throat.
Qing Gui broke out in a cold sweat, shouting angrily:
“Are you crazy?! You’re actually trying to kill me for a woman?!”
Xie Chenzhou glanced at him coldly:
“You’re not worthy of being compared to her.”
Qing Gui laughed angrily:
“If the Lord sees you like this, he’ll definitely regret bringing you back to the Shura Palace and making you the Young Master of the Shura Palace.”
Xie Chenzhou lowered his head:
“I’ll leave the Shura Palace, Young Master, I’m not doing it anymore.”
Qing Gui was stunned for a long time before he reacted, unable to believe it:
“You like that woman so much?!”
Xie Chenzhou said:
“You wouldn’t understand.”
Qing Gui’s expression was ferocious, he nodded repeatedly, his voice filled with strong sarcasm:
“Yes, how could a rotten person like me understand your noble love, Xie Chenzhou.”
Before Xie Chenzhou could speak, he said hatefully:
“But would you dare let her know who you are?”
Xie Chenzhou’s hand holding the sword tightened suddenly.
“You guess, if she knew what you did in the past, knew that your hands were stained with blood and countless lives…”
Qing Gui sneered:
“Would she still like you like she does now?”
Xie Chenzhou opened his mouth, but couldn’t make a sound.
“I’ll tell you, she wouldn’t!”
Qing Gui shouted:
“You’ll just be abandoned like a dog!”
“Then, where else can you go? Where else can you go?!”
Xie Chenzhou remained silent.
“Now you’re telling me you don’t want to be the Young Master anymore.” Qing Gui’s eyes were filled with resentment, “What about the death of Luo Pingan?”
Xie Chenzhou’s face instantly turned as white as paper.
“You killed him with your own hands to become the Young Master, and now you’re telling me you don’t want this position anymore.”
Qing Gui said slowly:
“Xie Chenzhou, you’re so ridiculous.”
