Too Much Trouble, Part 2
“No!” Those who remained—besides the local rescue workers—also included intergalactic soldiers from Districts Seven and Eight. They could clearly see that this woman was perfectly fine and didn’t need rescuing.
The locals spoke more tactfully, “Madam, please wait a bit longer. Right now, we are prioritizing the injured. You can see they’ve lost a lot of blood. If they don’t leave soon, their lives could be in danger.”
“Are their lives more important than mine?” the Star Lord’s wife scoffed coldly, turning to the people behind her. “Move them out of the way. I’m going to the front.”
However, no one at the front of the line gave up their place. Most were already so weak from blood loss that they were barely conscious, unable to hear anyone talking, let alone respond to her demands.
The Star Lord’s wife had always been arrogant. Her husband was visiting another district, leaving her to act alone. After the recent round of cultivation, many of the people in the Star Lord’s estate were able to stand and move, so she brought them along with her. Her goal was simple: she had to get on the spaceship first and leave immediately.
But as the Star Lord’s men began pushing aside the wounded, a terrifying thing happened. The moment they moved, the injured started bleeding even faster.
“So, that’s why the General’s wife ordered no one to move. It makes the bleeding worse.”
“The medical powder and the treatment pods aren’t working in this chaotic magnetic field.”
At this point, one of the intergalactic soldiers from District Eight stepped forward and grabbed the people who were pushing the injured aside, pulling them away. Another soldier from District Seven approached and pressed specific pressure points on the injured, stopping their bleeding.
“What kind of technique is that?”
“It’s the ‘Disaster Point’ technique. The young master mentioned it in training. Haven’t you heard people talk about how they’ve stopped their own bleeding?”
“That’s amazing! I want to learn!”
“You can only perform it after you draw the Qi into your body.”
“Yeah, only after you’ve started drawing Qi into your body can you use it.”
“Oh no, I haven’t felt the Qi flow yet. Have I been abandoned?”
“Keep trying. The young masters said some people take longer—up to a year or more to feel it. We’ve got time, just be patient!”
“Yeah, I must be one of those who will need a year or two.”
“I’ve got the patience. If I don’t feel it in a year, I’ll wait for two! I won’t give up!”
“Impressive! That’s determination!”
“Come on, as long as you can draw Qi into your body, you can change your life.”
“Exactly! Absorbing Qi will change your fate.”
“Who doesn’t want to change their life?”
People online started talking about drawing Qi into the body process. Over time, more and more people started to absorb Qi, and they noticed that people from Districts Seven and Eight seemed to have an easier time doing it. Why was that?
At that moment, Ye Mo’s spaceship landed once again on the third main planet of District Three. Upon arriving, she noticed the commotion caused by the Star Lord’s wife. Although no one let her move forward, no one dared to touch her either.
The Star Lord’s wife, seeing no one was helping her, began charging ahead herself regardless of the consequences, hurting quite a few people in the process.
Ye Mo instructed the soldiers to get the injured onto the ship while she made her way toward the back of the line. The line was massive, with over ten thousand people waiting for rescue.
Moving quickly, Ye Mo reached the back. “What’s going on here? What’s all this fuss about?”
“Madam, this is the wife of the Star Lord of Planet Three!” one of the soldiers reported to Ye Mo.
The Star Lord’s wife, wearing an arrogant expression, said to Ye Mo. “You must be General Mo’s wife. Why haven’t you come to the Star Lord’s estate for rescue yet?” Her husband had assured her that the rescuers would come to the Star Lord’s estate first. She had waited, but there was no sign of them, after the whole nation practiced that she was able to draw qi and then she led the people who could walk out of the Star Lord’s Mansion.
Ye Mo looked at her coldly. “We’re rescuing the injured first. Are you injured?”
“What kind of attitude is that?”
“And what kind of attitude do you have?” Ye Mo shot back. “I’m busy. If you’re not dying, move to the side.” She added, “If you want to be rescued, go ahead and stab yourself, then get in line.”
Ye Mo didn’t bother waiting for the Star Lord’s wife’s reaction—she simply walked away.
“You—” The Star Lord’s wife was so furious, she nearly passed out.
She’d have to be out of her mind to stab herself—especially when bleeding was impossible to stop in these conditions!
Meanwhile, the soldiers quickly moved her aside. “If you’re not dying, get out of the way!”
Seeing all this unfold, the people online burst out laughing.
“Why do I find this so satisfying?”
“Right? It’s so satisfying!”
“Haha, who cares if she’s the Star Lord’s wife? In front of our General’s wife, she has no special privileges.”
“But won’t the General’s wife offend her by treating her this way?”
“So what? What can the Star Lord’s wife do about it?”
“Exactly! The General’s wife is too powerful—no one can control her.”
“Haha, the General’s wife is awesome!”
“Yeah, she’s totally awesome!”
“I’ve realized something: to have this kind of confidence, you need strength. If it were one of us, we probably wouldn’t have the guts to do this.”
“That’s obvious. So, everyone better keep working on absorbing Qi. Even if it’s just to have the confidence to talk back to these so-called noblewomen.”
“Right! Let’s keep going!”
“I’m from Trash Planet, but I’ve already absorbed Qi! The General’s wife even praised me earlier, and said I have great potential. I’m helping on the rescue front lines right now. The General’s wife told us that if we keep at it, she’ll reward us the next time she comes around!”
“Oh my god, how lucky are you? I want to go to District Three too! What should I do?”
“I’m so jealous! I’m from District One!”
“I’m from District 5. Why couldn’t it have been District Four or District Three? Even General Mo said there would be rewards for those who do well!”
“I feel like crying!”
“I want to join the rescue too!”
“Too bad. Those who just started absorbing Qi are still too slow. If you’re not from Districts Three or Four, don’t bother.”
“Sigh! It’s such a shame. Why did I start absorbing Qi so late? If only I had started earlier, I’d be able to join the rescue now. I’m a soldier from District Eight, and I’m probably the most upset about this.”
“Hearing the complaints from District Eight soldiers makes me feel better, somehow.”
“Same! I feel better too!”
