The Planet Elf, Part 1
In the Beast Race Star Region, on Planet Elf, it was a time of brilliant sunshine. However, this sun was created by Mo Mo and Ye Mo, so its rays contained no harmful UV radiation and didn’t emit any intense heat. The light that touched people’s skin felt warm and comfortable.
Despite the gentleness of the light, it still allowed plants to undergo natural photosynthesis. Moreover, it provided ample energy for solar-powered devices to recharge and operate.
On Planet Elf, people would continue to work in the fields even under the sunlight, but their workday only started in the afternoon. In the mornings, everyone dedicated their time to training, while their cultivation routines were reserved for the night time.
Although the night brought darkness, the plants, having absorbed plenty of sunlight during the day, enriched the atmosphere with abundant oxygen and spiritual energy. Some of the spiritual plants emitted energy, and with the help of sunlight, they released even more of it. Additionally, thanks to the arrays set up across the planet, everyone’s cultivation at night became highly efficient.
Every evening, anyone who had questions could consult Ye Mo, Mo Mo, or the six young masters for answers. In reality, most of the issues were resolved by the six children or the butler, as the solutions provided by Mo Mo and Ye Mo often differed from the children’s approach. Some people attempted to ask Mo Mo and Ye Mo directly but quickly realized they couldn’t comprehend their methods.
Essentially, it became clear that their cultivation methods were different from Mo Mo and Ye Mo’s, so they stopped seeking their advice. They understood that even if they asked, it would be pointless.
Although Mo Mo and Ye Mo wanted to offer more assistance, the butler didn’t allow it. He believed that too much information could interfere with their cultivation, so he kept that knowledge to himself. Mo Mo and Ye Mo found this a bit frustrating, but they accepted it.
Currently, Ye Mo has reached the peak of the Golden Core Stage and is on the verge of advancing to the Nascent Soul Stage. As for Mo Mo, he had already reached the later stages of Nascent Soul and would soon be at its peak. Their rapid progress was largely due to the various large-scale formations they had established, particularly the ones in Districts Three and Four. These formations were incredibly complex and connected many planets, and setting them up required an immense amount of effort from the two of them.
Only they knew how much energy it had taken, but they weren’t seeking sympathy or recognition from others. They didn’t need it. At this stage, Mo Mo and Ye Mo only wanted to live their lives peacefully, free from external control. They were tired of the pressures and moral expectations imposed on them.
Though they no longer needed food, Mo Mo and Ye Mo still joined their six children for meals each day. In fact, their eldest, Guaiguai, had also stopped needing food, having reached the Golden Core Stage. However, since he was still growing, Ye Mo didn’t allow him to forgo eating, fearing it might stunt his growth.
Ye Mo was unfamiliar with these particular issues, but she had done her research on child-rearing and knew that growing children required a balanced intake of nutrients.
Most importantly, their entire family was now consuming spirit-infused food from their spatial farm. They no longer ate regular food, not even the produce from Planet Elf itself.
Speaking of which, the entire population of Planet Elf was now following a highly synchronized lifestyle. Everyone woke up at 6 a.m. for a two-hour run, after which they all shared breakfast. The meals were prepared by chef robots and made entirely from produce grown on Planet Elf. What was once limited to just fruit had expanded to include staple foods like rice and a variety of cooked dishes. These foods were once rare across the star systems but had become a daily staple for the people of Planet Elf.
After breakfast, the entire morning was spent on various training exercises. These drills were modelled after military routines but at two to three times the intensity of what regular space warriors were used to.
Lunch typically consisted of noodles, buns, or a variety of stir-fried dishes with rice. People enjoyed their meals immensely because they were so flavourful. Having tasted such delicious food, the inhabitants of Planet Elf could no longer tolerate nutritional supplements.
After lunch, there was an hour and a half for rest and free time. Once the break ended, people resumed their work—most of them farming. Meanwhile, the researchers conducted their experiments during the afternoon. Despite the intense training in the morning, it didn’t hinder their research. The mental clarity they experienced in the afternoons allowed them to perform their work efficiently, with clear focus.
Initially, the 3,000 newly arrived researchers were resistant to the rigorous training, but they soon discovered that after a day of physical activity and research, their cultivation speed at night increased. This realization eased their reluctance.
They also came to understand that life on Planet Elf had become entirely different from that of the interstellar world. If they didn’t keep up, they risked being left behind while everyone else progressed. Falling behind would be an embarrassment, as they still had their pride.
At first, Mo Mo did force their participation in the training, but instead of resenting him, the researchers were grateful for the opportunity. Life on Planet Elf was too good to pass up. There is delicious food every day, and everyone experiences significant personal growth. Many researchers felt that their work efficiency had more than doubled since arriving on Planet Elf.
However, Mo Mo now faced a dilemma: several researchers had begun requesting to bring their families to Planet Elf. He was weighing the feasibility of this idea. While there was plenty of room for them to stay, and the treehouses could easily accommodate their relatives, the main issue was that their families might not be as disciplined as the space warriors’ families. And the most important thing now is that their relatives may not be able to practice. What if they don’t listen to the rules that will be enforced on them?
Apparently, the relatives of these researchers are somewhat different from the relatives of the space soldiers.
Unlike the space warriors’ obedient families, the relatives of the researchers could be harder to control. Mo Mo was unsure how to handle this situation.
