Chapter 12: Cousin
He exuded an aura of regal authority, like a general returning from the battlefield.
His steps were firm, his posture upright, and his every word and action radiated an unstoppable force.
“C…Cousin…” Wu Ziyu looked at the newcomer, his eyes filled with surprise. Wasn’t his cousin in the army?
Lu Qingyun coldly glanced at Wu Ziyu, then looked at Ling Yao who was supporting him, “Thank you for saving my cousin.”
He came to Yuncheng to visit his aunt and uncle.
He had just arrived at his aunt’s house when he heard from his aunt that his cousin and his friend had gone out and hadn’t returned all night.
He immediately sent people to search and learned that his cousin had been racing with his friends here yesterday.
He immediately drove here, and unexpectedly met this young girl again, who also happened to be the one who saved his cousin.
“You’re welcome! His injury is serious, you should take him to the hospital.” Ling Yao handed Wu Ziyu to Lu Qingyun.
She didn’t need Wu Ziyu to repay her in any way, saving people was what she was supposed to do as a doctor, as long as Wu Ziyu didn’t get the wrong person this time.
Lu Qingyun took Wu Ziyu and handed him to Xiao Liu who was standing by, “Where are you going? I can give you a ride.”
“No need, I’ll just take the bus.” Ling Yao shook her head and refused. She didn’t want to have anything to do with him.
“Don’t be so polite with me, you saved my cousin, it’s only right that I give you a ride.” Lu Qingyun opened the back door and looked directly at Ling Yao.
Ling Yao was about to refuse when she saw a bus whizzing past her, and she sighed helplessly in her heart,
“Alright, then please take me to the city.”
The bus would only come once every half an hour, and if she missed this one, she would have to wait another half an hour. She didn’t want to waste time waiting.
Lu Qingyun smiled slightly, waiting for Ling Yao to get in the car before closing the door for her.
Xiao Liu and Wu Ziyu in the front were stunned. The commander (cousin) actually opened the door for this fat girl and even closed the door for her. Were they seeing things?
Lu Qingyun walked to the other side, opened the door, got in the car, and said, “Drive.” His voice was low and magnetic, making people’s ears tingle.
All the way, Ling Yao and Lu Qingyun didn’t speak, the car was quiet.
Wu Ziyu wanted to say something, but his wound was too painful, so he had to give up.
The car had just left when Zhou Yu limped over. She thought for a moment, walked to the side of the road, and flipped through the bushes.
In her past life, they had found Wu Ziyu here.
Seeing a pool of blood in the bushes, but no one, Zhou Yu clenched her fists in frustration. It seemed she was a step too late.
“Xiaoyu, your foot injury hasn’t healed yet, why are you here?” Gu Qingan went for a run and came back to find Zhou Yu missing, so he immediately ran out to look for her.
Zhou Yu suppressed the look in her eyes and looked at Gu Qingan, “I just came out for a walk.” It must have been Ling Yao who saved Wu Ziyu, missing this opportunity, how would she be able to get close to Wu Ziyu.
“Doesn’t your foot hurt?” Gu Qingan stepped forward and supported Zhou Yu.
“No, let’s go back.” Zhou Yu didn’t have the heart to talk to Gu Qingan now. Since her rebirth, she seemed to be constantly suppressed by Ling Yao, which made her very unhappy.
But now, she had no one to rely on except Gu Qingan, and Gu Qingan wasn’t as strong as he was in her past life. How could she turn the situation around?
The car slowly stopped.
“Thank you!” Ling Yao thanked Lu Qingyun and got out of the car.
“Comrade Ling Yao, wait a moment. This is my phone number, you can call me if you need anything.”
Lu Qingyun handed Ling Yao a piece of paper. This was his third meeting with Ling Yao since arriving in Yuncheng, and each time, she left a deep impression on him.
“Okay.” Ling Yao reached out and took the paper, putting it in her pocket.
“Comrade Ling Yao! I live in the family compound next to the city guesthouse, feel free to visit my house.” Wu Ziyu said to Ling Yao.
If he hadn’t met Ling Yao, he wouldn’t know how long he would have been lying there. Ling Yao was his savior, and he would definitely repay her in the future.
“Okay, goodbye!” Ling Yao waved to them both, then turned and left.
She had made an appointment with Zhao Kun at eleven o’clock, and it was still half an hour before eleven. It would take about that long to walk there.
She arrived at the teahouse they had agreed on, and because she needed to talk business with Zhao Kun later, Ling Yao asked for a private room.
Just as she sat down in the private room, Zhao Kun arrived.
Seeing Ling Yao, he smiled, “When did you get here?” After returning home yesterday, he had been thinking about Ling Yao.
He couldn’t understand where she got the confidence to help him, but he still came. He wanted to gamble, to choose to believe Ling Yao, to give himself a chance.
“I just arrived.” Ling Yao picked up the teapot and poured a cup of tea for Zhao Kun, handing it to him. Her every move was graceful and natural.
Zhao Kun took the teacup, “You said yesterday that you could help me, but how do you plan to do that?”
“Take a look at this first.” Ling Yao took a plan from her bag and handed it to Zhao Kun. This plan was something she had worked on overnight.
Zhao Kun took the plan and opened it, looking at it carefully. The more he looked, the brighter his eyes became,
“This plan is really well done, but how do we solve the funding issue?” Implementing the plan in the plan would require quite a bit of capital.
“Bank loan. The bank’s loan interest rate is very low now. You can mortgage your factory to the bank and get a loan.
We can then use that money to operate.” Ling Yao had already thought it through.
“But what if…” Zhao Kun hesitated. He was afraid that if he lost, he would be truly dead.
“As the saying goes, ‘You can’t catch a tiger without entering its lair.’ If you want to wear the crown, you must bear its weight.
Success is never easy, it requires us to make arduous efforts, even at great cost.” Ling Yao knew Zhao Kun’s concerns, but to succeed, one must dare to take risks, otherwise, one will achieve nothing.
“Let me think about it.” Zhao Kun still couldn’t make up his mind.
“Okay.” Ling Yao nodded. Whether or not to take this step was up to Zhao Kun himself. If he was willing to take a gamble, she would definitely help him.
If he gave up, she wouldn’t try to persuade him anymore. The path is chosen by oneself.
Zhao Kun picked up the teacup and took a sip, looking at Ling Yao, “There’s something I need to tell you.
I offended someone a while ago, and now they’re suppressing us, not letting our factory’s medicine enter the market.
If I take out a loan now, that person will definitely not let the bank loan me money.” This was his biggest concern.
“Don’t worry about that, I’ll take care of it.”
Ling Yao had heard Zhao Kun talk about this in her past life, and she also knew who he had offended. She planned to visit that person’s leader this afternoon.
The leader had a disease, and she had a prescription that could cure it.
