The Planet Elf, Part 3
“All the treehouses in the residential area were grown this way?” It took Jiang Ming quite some time to react.
“Yes, we use the same method for planting fruit trees. Since Researcher Jiang is going to live here, shouldn’t we plant some fruit trees around his treehouse as well?” one of the interstellar soldiers reminded Ye Mo.
“Absolutely, let’s plant a few fruit trees around the treehouse!” Ye Mo quickly pulled out a handful of seeds.
Everyone took one seed each, leaving the rest in Ye Mo’s hands. Even the six little ones each took a seed.
Jiang Ming wanted to grab one too, but Ye Mo stopped him since he didn’t have any cultivation abilities.
“Once you start cultivating, Researcher Jiang, then you can try growing the seeds yourself!”
Jiang Ming could only watch as the others took their seeds. He noticed that everyone else was able to make the plants grow, but the seeds in the hands of the six little ones grew much faster. In less than thirty minutes, the seeds had grown into towering trees, already blossoming and bearing fruit. He could even smell the fragrance of the fruit.
Good heavens, what exactly had he missed out on?
Where could he learn how to cultivate? If he could grow plants as well, wouldn’t that save him a lot of effort?
Jiang Ming pitifully looked at Ye Mo. “Madam, can I cultivate too?”
Ye Mo nodded, “You can, and you have an affinity for wood-based cultivation.”
“Madam, when can I start?” Jiang Ming asked nervously.
At this point, someone nearby chimed in, “If you hadn’t wandered off from the camp without permission, you would have already started. We’re all cultivating now. If we hadn’t been searching for you, you’d already be part of the collective training.”
“That’s right! Every morning we do physical training, in the afternoons the researchers can conduct their work, and in the evenings, we all cultivate. The days are packed, but everyone manages to balance work and training well.”
Upon hearing this, Jiang Ming’s eyes turned red. Had he really missed all this?
“It’s not too late now, but since you’re living out here…” The interstellar soldier glanced at Jiang Ming’s treehouse.
“I can treat this as my laboratory,” Jiang Ming quickly added.
Ye Mo looked at Jiang Ming, “When you arrived, you should have already started with the process of ‘introducing energy into the body,’ right? Didn’t you go through that?”
“I did!” Jiang Ming did draw the Qi into his body but he had forgotten about it since he saw the plants on Planet Elf.
“The cultivation method is the same as when you first introduced energy into your body.”
At that moment, Jiang Ming suddenly took a deep breath, almost like a frog. Everyone around could feel the plants responding to his breath. When he exhaled, it was as if the surrounding plants were breathing with him.
Ye Mo was astonished by Jiang Ming’s abilities. He hadn’t even learned their cultivation techniques, yet he had somehow harmonized with nature, using a pure, natural form of breathing to absorb energy. What others saw as “drawing qi into the body” was, for him, just becoming one with nature.
Ye Mo lightly tapped Jiang Ming on the forehead, transferring the cultivation technique directly into his mind. Almost immediately, Jiang Ming sat down cross-legged on the ground and began cultivating.
Ye Mo led the group away, sensing that Jiang Ming would benefit greatly from cultivating in this natural environment. His unique connection to plants was something that others could never achieve.
Ye Mo’s next destination was a valley in front. There is a stream in the valley. The valley reminded her of a similar place on Planet Kamo. She decided to transform this valley into a playground for the six little ones, giving them a space to play in the future. This time she came here just for her six little ones.
Once they reached the valley, Ye Mo planted a circle of fruit trees around the perimeter. Inside the valley, she planted a few elf trees, shaping them into tree canopies, and underneath them, she installed a dozen swings.
The six little ones immediately jumped on the swings, refusing to come down.
Next, Ye Mo installed various amusement facilities she had prepared, most of which were made from natural materials. For example, she crafted a slide out of a large tree and built several exquisite little treehouses.
She also released various birds into the valley, but she used a formation to keep them from flying out.
In addition to these natural play structures, Ye Mo added large entertainment facilities like a roller coaster, a train that circled the valley, and even a water park with a surfing section and so on.
Pretty much everything Ye Mo had ever seen, she recreated for the kids.
The six little ones were completely mesmerized, but they weren’t the only ones. Even the interstellar soldiers played on the equipment for a long time, much to Ye Mo’s surprise. She had only intended to amuse the children, but it seemed the soldiers were just as entertained.
After setting up everything in the valley, Ye Mo created a few more treehouses, so that if anyone wanted to stay overnight, they would have a place to rest.
However, she didn’t notice that a faint black mist had begun to rise from the stream in the valley.
Ye Mo was entirely focused on her children and didn’t realize that the black mist had started to mix with the air, slowly invading the bodies of the interstellar soldiers and the six little ones.
The black mist seemed to have eyes, avoiding Ye Mo because of her strength. But the soldiers and the six children were another matter. Even though Guaiguai was strong, his age and the fact that he had spent most of his time in a protected space made him less resistant to the mist.
Unaware of the danger, Ye Mo remained in the valley, meditating peacefully. After five or six hours, she noticed something wrong with the soldiers—their faces had started to turn dark. By the time she realized this, most of them had already collapsed. She quickly checked on her children and found that although they didn’t show obvious symptoms, they too had been affected by the black mist.
Ye Mo immediately summoned Mo Mo. As soon as he arrived, Mo noticed the strange presence in the stream. He and Ye Mo quickly transported everyone into her space and immersed them in the Yin-Yang Pool at the centre of the space. She taught them the necessary techniques, and they began to cultivate in the pool.
To their surprise, despite the mysterious origin of the black mist, the soldiers and children were able to adapt quickly to a dual cultivation technique of Yin and Yang. This unexpected development excited Ye Mo and Mo Mo.
However, they knew they couldn’t leave everyone in Ye Mo’s space forever. So, they created a pool in the valley itself, filled it with water from the Yin-Yang Pool, and brought everyone back to continue their cultivation outside.
Even the six little ones joined in, practicing the Yin-Yang dual cultivation technique in the newly created pool.
