“Principal Li, about the library donation I mentioned before, it might be a while before it happens.

Don’t announce it yet. I’ll let you know when the time is confirmed.”

“Okay, no problem.” Li Yuan readily agreed. As long as it happened before he retired, it would be his achievement.

“Alright, I have something else to do. I’ll hang up.” Zhao Kun said and hung up the phone.

Li Yuan smiled and hung up the phone. He picked up a newspaper from the side and started reading.

Now, he had built a relationship with Xu Lihai and secured a library for the school. His path would only become smoother in the future.

“Knock, knock, knock!” There was a hurried knock on the door.

Li Yuan put down the newspaper with annoyance, “Come in!”

The office door was pushed open, and the headmaster rushed in.

“Principal, I just got the news. Longteng Pharmaceutical is going to donate a library to the No. 2 High School next door.”

“What? That’s impossible.” The principal stood up in disbelief. He accidentally knocked over the teacup next to him, and the tea splashed all over him.

 No. 1 High School was better than No. 2 High School in terms of both teaching and faculty. It was also the key high school in Yun City.

Zhao Kun smiled faintly, “This is our chairman’s decision.”

“Chairman?” Li Yuan was surprised. He thought Zhao Kun was the head of Longteng Pharmaceutical. He didn’t know there was someone else behind him.

“Can I meet your chairman?” Li Yuan wanted to talk to the chairman in person and find out why he changed his mind.

“Okay, I’ll arrange it. I’ll tell you when the time is confirmed.” Zhao Kun agreed.

“Thank you, Mr. Zhao!” Li Yuan thanked him happily. As long as he could meet the chairman of Longteng Pharmaceutical, he could convince him.

The next day, Li Yuan made an appointment with Zhao Kun to meet at a state-owned restaurant.

Hearing the door of the private room open, Li Yuan quickly turned his head excitedly and saw that it was Ling Yao.

Ling Yao walked to the table and sat down. She picked up the teapot on the table and poured herself a cup of tea before speaking slowly, “Don’t you want to see me?”

“Why would I see you? Get out of here now.” Li Yuan pointed to the door and shouted.

“Okay.” Ling Yao put down her teacup, stood up, and walked towards the door.

At this moment, the door of the private room was pushed open again. Zhao Kun walked in. Seeing that Ling Yao was about to leave, he looked at her in confusion.

On the other side, Jiang Rong’s family also received the news. Jiang’s mother rushed to the police station to see Xu Lihai.
