Chapter 88: Drugged
Ling Yao clenched her teeth in anger.
But Wu Xin was in the hands of the other party, so she had to stop.
“Tie her up.” The young man ordered the old woman beside him.
The old woman nodded, her face expressionless. She took the rope and went behind Ling Yao.
Her movements were skilled and swift. It was clear that she wasn’t doing this for the first time.
Ling Yao and Wu Xin were roughly pushed into the courtyard and taken to a room. They were pushed inside.
Inside the narrow room, there were a dozen young women imprisoned.
They looked haggard, their eyes filled with despair and endless sorrow.
Seeing Ling Yao and Wu Xin pushed in, they looked at them blankly, as if they had become accustomed to this.
New people were brought in every day, and they had become numb to it.
“Ling Yao, I’m sorry! It’s all my fault.” Wu Xin’s tears flowed uncontrollably, her face full of guilt.
If she hadn’t wanted to take the old lady home, she and Ling Yao wouldn’t have been caught.
“It’s okay.” Ling Yao shook her head slightly, her face calm.
It wouldn’t be difficult for her to escape from this place, but if she ran alone, those people outside would definitely transfer Wu Xin and the others.
Wu Xin was her friend, and she couldn’t leave her behind.
Now, she could only take things one step at a time and see if she could find an opportunity to rescue them all.
Now, she was worried about her parents. They would be worried if they couldn’t wait for her to come home.
The room was completely sealed. They couldn’t see anything outside. They could only faintly hear voices from outside.
“Boss, the two girls we caught today are really pretty. The brothers haven’t had a good time in a long time. How about letting the brothers have some fun?”
The young man ignored the man who was speaking. He turned to the old woman who was eating meat, “The two we caught today are virgins, right?”
“Yes, definitely virgins.” The old woman nodded affirmatively. She could tell at a glance whether someone was a girl or a woman.
The young man nodded, raised his glass, and looked at everyone present, “You can all drink, but don’t do anything stupid.
Also, don’t touch any of the women inside, or don’t blame me for not being a brother.”
“Understood, Boss!”
Then, all that could be heard from outside was the sound of everyone drinking and chatting.
Ling Yao listened to the conversation outside and felt a little confused. From what she heard, the women they were capturing were all virgins.
Did they capture them not to sell them, but for another purpose?
The sky gradually darkened, and it was pitch black outside. There was no moonlight, as if swallowed by endless darkness.
The door to the room was suddenly pushed open with force, making a loud “bang.”
Then, two burly men with fierce expressions walked in.
They kicked the two women closest to them aggressively, their voices revealing undisguised cruelty, “Get up! Go to the courtyard outside!”
The women in the room trembled with fear, their eyes filled with despair and terror. But they didn’t dare hesitate.
They stood up tremblingly, their steps unsteady as they walked towards the courtyard outside.
Wu Xin looked at Ling Yao in fear. Now, she was truly regretful and scared.
“Don’t be afraid. We’ll be fine. Let’s go out first.” Ling Yao comforted Wu Xin and stood up, following behind the others.
Wu Xin nodded and followed Ling Yao, crying.
In the courtyard, the young man, several burly men, and the old woman from before were standing there.
When everyone came out, the young man’s sinister eyes swept coldly and sharply across everyone’s faces. The look was chilling.
“Don’t cry! Now, follow us outside. Anyone who dares to run will have their leg chopped off!”
Everyone trembled with fear, only daring to sob softly.
The young man and several burly men escorted the women out of the courtyard and towards the back.
They didn’t walk far before a small river appeared in front of them. A dilapidated boat was docked by the river.
“Get on board!” The young man shouted at them.
The women were filled with despair and fear. They were pushed by the burly men and, trembling, slowly boarded the boat.
On the other side, Lu Qingyun had already brought his men to Yuncheng secretly.
“Captain! We received news that those people are transferring with their captives. They are now moving towards the suburbs.”
Lu Qingyun narrowed his eyes, his gaze filled with a chilling coldness, “Go to the suburbs.” This time, he would bring the gang down.
Ling Yao and the others were taken ashore and brought to an abandoned factory. They were locked in the warehouse.
When they first entered, Ling Yao had taken a careful look at the surroundings. Besides this abandoned factory, it was all wasteland. Escaping wouldn’t be easy.
But if they didn’t run now, they might not have another chance.
Glancing outside, Ling Yao silently calculated the time. She had secretly given those people a sleeping drug. They would pass out in three minutes at most.
The young man had two burly men guarding the warehouse. He took the rest of his men to guard the perimeter of the factory.
The reason he was so eager to transfer these women was that he had received news that the authorities had sent people to bring them down.
Suddenly, the young man felt a dizzy spell. He shook his head vigorously, trying to stay awake, but his body involuntarily went limp.
Lying on the ground, the young man still tried to open his eyes, wanting to see what was happening around him.
However, his vision gradually blurred. He could only vaguely see his men falling to the ground one after another.
What was going on? Who had drugged them?
A wave of resentment and endless anger surged through the young man.
He was unwilling to lose consciousness like this, unwilling to have his plans disrupted like this.
He tried to struggle to his feet, but he found that his body was completely out of his control.
He could only close his eyes, filled with resentment, and soon fell into darkness.
Ling Yao heard two heavy “bangs” outside. She couldn’t help but feel a surge of joy.
She stood up, walked to the door, and looked out through the crack. She saw the two burly men guarding the door had passed out on the ground.
A glimmer of joy flashed in her eyes. Ling Yao exerted a little force on her hands, and the ropes that bound her, as if losing their hold, were easily untied.
Everyone looked at Ling Yao in astonishment.
Ling Yao gave them a “shh” gesture, then walked forward and began to skillfully and quickly untie the ropes for everyone.
