Jiang She had seen people cry before.
Many people had cried and begged him on their knees, calling him “Dad,” but he only found it annoying, even pretentious.
It was only when he saw Chu Tao’s vulnerable side that Jiang She began to reflect—had making him wash the clothes yesterday been too much?
Chu Tao used some strength to shake off Jiang She’s hand, lowered his eyes, and turned his head to the side, glaring angrily, “Who’s crying?!”
Jiang She looked at his hand, which had been brushed off, and frowned, annoyed. “What are you pretending for?”
Chu Tao glared at him with red eyes, unable to endure anymore, “What am I pretending for?!”
He just wanted to change classes, to study well. He didn’t want to stand out or be noticed.
But others wouldn’t let him.
Ever since Jiang She and his group of troublemakers had started provoking him on the first day, he had been the target of bullying in class.
In this class, Jiang She represented “political correctness.” Anyone he disliked had no one else willing to be their friend.
At first, Chu Tao tolerated it; he didn’t want to offend anyone.
But now, it seemed that only by giving in would things get worse.
Now Jiang She was watching him get humiliated.
Ha, did he really think he was some harmless little rabbit to be bullied?
Jiang She’s voice became heavier, and his gaze sharper.
He said impatiently, “What the hell are you shouting at me for?”
Chu Tao sniffled, keeping his face cold, and nodded, his expression returning to calm. “Right, I won’t shout at you.”
With that, he opened the bathroom door and strode toward the classroom.
This was the first time Jiang She had been left behind like this.
He stood still for a second, hesitating whether to wash his hands or teach Chu Tao a lesson first.
Before his mind could catch up, his legs were already following Chu Tao.
Angry, but also a bit frustrated.
First thing in the morning, and now he had become someone’s punching bag. Since Jiang She learned to walk, no one had dared to be so ‘arrogant with his privilege.’
With less than ten minutes until the first class, most of the students from Class 3 should have arrived by now.
Jiang She suppressed his anger and entered the class, about to ‘talk some sense’ to Chu Tao, when he noticed the shoe prints left on Chu Tao’s chair.
His anger peaked and then began to rapidly decline.
The mud on the chair had already dried, leaving the imprint of the shoe’s sole clearly visible.
And there was something worse.
A screw on the back of Chu Tao’s chair had been unscrewed. If he wasn’t careful and sat down again, the backrest might collapse under his weight at any moment.
The chairs at Huainan No. 1 were all replaced by Jiang She’s father last year, with wood for the seat and backrest, and metal for the rest.
If the chair collapsed, and the backrest came off, if Chu Tao fell, the sharp iron bars at the back could hit his spine directly.
A small injury could lead to serious consequences.
Jiang She had always been straightforward in dealing with people. He didn’t bother with such petty tricks and wasn’t the type to harm someone in this way.
He glanced at Fang Sheng, his eyes full of warning.
Fang Sheng had been lounging in his chair, pretending like nothing was wrong. When he entered the class, he saw that Chu Tao’s chair had been stepped on, but he hadn’t noticed the screw being removed.
After seeing it, he gave a knowing smile, thinking it wasn’t his problem anyway.
But when Jiang She’s gaze landed on him, he got a little nervous.
Why should he take the blame for something that wasn’t his fault?
Fang Sheng quickly stood up, shouting, “Fuck, I didn’t do it! I just got here, and my shoes cost five thousand a pair! Why would I step in all that mud?!”
Jiang She took a moment to assess him before silently looking away.
Fang Sheng was feeling wronged, more so than the story of Dou E’s injustice. He pounded his thigh in frustration and looked at Chu Tao, “I swear, it wasn’t me! I didn’t ask anyone to do it! I, Fang Sheng, wouldn’t stoop to such dirty tricks!”
Jiang She’s gaze finally moved on, and he actually believed Fang Sheng.
Chu Tao stared at the muddy prints on the chair, his pupils slightly contracting as his beautiful eyes narrowed.
It was unlikely that it was Fang Sheng.
When he arrived, Fang Sheng hadn’t even been there yet.
Chu Tao took a deep breath and slammed the rag down onto the desk, speaking coldly, “Who did this?”
He calmly scanned the entire class.
The room was deathly silent.
Chu Tao leaned against the desk, kicking the chair leg roughly with his foot, sneering, “You got the guts to do it, but not to admit it? I thought Class 3 was supposed to be tough.”
The chair scraped loudly against the floor as he kicked it.
The backrest, which had been unscrewed, couldn’t withstand the shaking and suddenly fell with a loud crash.
The wooden panel hit the floor tiles with a sharp, clear sound.
Chu Tao’s gaze swept over, and his face darkened further.
He hadn’t even noticed before, but now he saw that even the screw had been taken out.
Jiang She furrowed his brow deeply.
Chu Tao had quite a broad reach, and now, with everyone in Class 3 being implicated, he was stirring up a sense of rebellion.
In such a situation, the person who did this was most likely to step forward, feeling that everyone would back him up and help resist Chu Tao.
Xu Yuan couldn’t stand hearing Chu Tao talk like that either. As someone new to the class, he had been unfairly caught up in all this. Just as he was about to speak, Jiang She shot him a cold glance, and he immediately swallowed his words.
This morning, he had thought Jiang She was acting a little strange. Even though Chu Tao wasn’t familiar with them and didn’t seem the type to give in, Jiang She had shown an unusual amount of patience with him and had even made Fang Sheng apologize.
Now, Jiang She was letting Chu Tao run wild in the class without stopping him.
“Fuck, I did it! What about it? I just can’t stand you! You dare to pour soda on Brother She on your first day here, who the hell do you think you are?!”
In the last row, a boy slammed his desk and stood up, staring back at Chu Tao without any fear.
Someone in the class started whistling.
“Oh, Pang Ge is so awesome!”
“Damn, when did this guy become so bold?”
“Tsk tsk, let’s see them fight!”
“Have some class, don’t scare the new kid, give him a way out.”
“Hahaha, this is awkward, maybe he thought no one would stand up.”
“Just a show of strength, don’t actually fight, Miss Yang will start screaming again.”
“That’s just how Miss Yang is, always protecting the students.”
Jiang She raised his eyes and tilted his head.
He had some impression of Pang Cai.
This guy had always tried to hang around him, flattering him at every turn, seizing any chance to get close.
But Jiang She’s little circle wasn’t just anyone could join.
You had to come from a good family, be righteous, not hesitate in a fight, and most importantly, he had to find you likable.
Pang Cai met most of those criteria, except for the last one.
That’s why Jiang She had ignored him all this time.
He didn’t expect this idiot to be scheming behind Chu Tao’s back just to win his favor.
Jiang She felt like he was suddenly carrying a huge burden, which would make Chu Tao hate him even more.
Damn!
Why should he care if Chu Tao hated him?
Chu Tao was an Alpha!
“You,” Chu Tao murmured with a smile, adjusting the desk as he picked up the damp rag, walking leisurely toward Pang Cai.
Pang Cai, unwilling to back down, pushed his desk and stood up, sneering, “What’s wrong with me?!”
Jiang She thought.
If it really came to a fight, should he help Chu Tao out?
To be fair, Pang Cai wasn’t completely useless.
He came from a good family and had no worries, so he could be quite ruthless and was decent in a fight.
But with Chu Tao’s slim build, he might not be able to win against Pang Cai.
But what reason did he have to help Chu Tao? He wasn’t familiar with him.
While thinking, Chu Tao was already two meters away from Pang Cai.
Jiang She took a deep breath.
Let’s just say he found Chu Tao likable.
“Alright…”
Before Jiang She could even say a word, Chu Tao had already slapped the rag across Pang Cai’s face.
The rag had been used for years to clean the blackboard, covered in colorful chalk dust and smelling damp and musty.
Pang Cai’s face took the full brunt of the rag, and he jumped up in fury, lunging at Chu Tao.
“Damn you!”
Chu Tao’s eyes turned cold as he sneered, “Try it.”
He raised his arm, perfectly blocking Pang Cai’s punch, then lifted his leg and kicked Pang Cai hard in the stomach.
Pang Cai rolled his eyes in pain, stumbling backward. Before he could react, Chu Tao’s second kick landed.
Chu Tao’s movements were quick, clean, and precise, dodging with impeccable timing, not giving Pang Cai any chance.
The desks in the back rows were knocked over by Pang Cai’s crashing body.
He groaned and cursed as he struggled to get up, but that didn’t stop him from continuing to be beaten.
Jiang She: “…” Damn.
He had initially thought that Chu Tao and Pang Cai would at least fight for a bit, but it turned out he had underestimated the situation.
Pang Cai couldn’t even last two rounds against Chu Tao and was completely overwhelmed.
If anyone had wanted to help Pang Cai for the sake of Class 3’s reputation, no one dared to speak now.
It wasn’t even a fair fight, so why bother jumping in to get beat up?
Fang Sheng whispered in Jiang She’s ear, “He’s been hiding his abilities, hasn’t he? Has he trained before?”
Jiang She subtly curved his lips and stared deeply at Chu Tao’s figure.
“Those are taekwondo moves. With that level, he’s at least a third-degree or fourth degree black belt.”
Fang Sheng’s mouth fell open, pointing at himself, “So I can’t beat him?”
Jiang She snorted lightly, “Not even close.”
Fang Sheng thought about how he had kicked Chu Tao’s chair yesterday and suddenly felt a chill running down his spine.
Author’s note:
Chu Tao, the big boss, is finally showing his true power.
Chu Tao: “I’ve always wanted to be an ordinary Omega, but life just doesn’t allow it…”
