Rebirth in 1993, Dark Sea Chapter 62

Chapter 62

The scene begins with Feng Jie serving tea while wearing a more daring cheongsam, with the entire back cut out and just a thin layer of black mesh, which makes her look even more alluring.

“Captain Qiu, would you like to have some cake first, or some ‘people’?” Feng Jie asks with a playful raised eyebrow and a soft, sultry voice.

Qiu Peng feels a rush of blood to his head and quickly pulls Feng Jie into his arms, but his years of experience help him maintain a semblance of calm.

“The cake must be eaten, but the person definitely can’t be let go either—though this isn’t the place for it!” Qiu Peng replies.

He’s not stupid enough to fall for any traps laid by Xu Tianyou, and he knows that being too impulsive could have disastrous consequences.

Feng Jie takes advantage of the situation and leans into Qiu Peng’s arms, blowing into his ear and saying, “Captain Qiu, you can do whatever you want, anywhere you like. Today, I’m yours… do with me as you please.” She even nibbles on his earlobe teasingly.

Despite his rising desire, Qiu Peng forces himself to stay calm.

“Let’s leave here and go east, there’s a bus stop at the next street. Wait for me there, I’ll come pick you up in a bit.”

“Okay, but what about the cake? It’s really expensive,” Feng Jie asks.

“You deal with it. You can either keep it for yourself or give it to someone else—it’s up to you.”

“What about keeping a little hidden? I could keep it in my arms… and you can eat it while I’m in your arms later…”

Qiu Peng’s patience is starting to fray, and he hastily says, “Alright, go now, I can’t wait any longer!”

“Fine, I’m going now!” Feng Jie says, her body soft as she stands up, twisting her waist as she walks away, looking back every now and then, and Qiu Peng reluctantly waits for a few seconds before grabbing his briefcase and heading out.

At the front desk, Qiu Peng is not asked to pay because the bill has already been settled. He feels no interest in the front desk girl anymore; her flirtation is nothing compared to the allure of a mature woman like Feng Jie.

Qiu Peng hurries out of the tea house, almost running through the streets, finds his car, starts it, and heads straight for Shenhai Road.

When he reaches the bus stop, however, there is no sign of Feng Jie.

Just as Qiu Peng starts to panic, Feng Jie appears, still wearing the tempting cheongsam, but with a long coat over it, adding to her charm.

He quickly pulls her into the car, and they drive straight to the Huanggang Garden, where he secretly bought a property for such “special” activities. He never thought it would come in handy today!

They rush upstairs, and once inside the room, Qiu Peng grabs Feng Jie’s arm and violently throws her onto the bed.

She falls onto the bed with a soft groan, her long, black hair spreading out like a spider’s web.

Unable to control himself any longer, Qiu Peng tears off his clothes, breathing heavily, and pounces on her.

The next morning, during the wash-up time, Guo Xiangshui weakly tells An Xiaohai, “Zhao De asked me to remind you that you owe him 13,000 HKD.”

The previous day, An Xiaohai and Zhao De had waited all day for news, but none came, except that Qiu Peng hadn’t returned. An Xiaohai and the others had worked overtime late into the night, so today they could start work later.

Zhao De didn’t want to disturb An Xiaohai’s sleep, so he asked Guo Xiangshui to pass the message.

“13,000? That’s wrong, wasn’t it 10,000?” An Xiaohai asks.

“Go ask him yourself! I really don’t know what you two are up to,” Guo Xiangshui replies, brushing his teeth irritably.

Both An Xiaohai and Zhao De kept their mouths shut about how they planned to deal with Qiu Peng.

An Xiaohai feels more at ease, even though Zhao De has raised the price, which at least means their plan succeeded—though he’s curious about why Zhao De raised the price.

After a distracted breakfast, An Xiaohai just sat down at his workstation when Zhao De hurriedly approached.

“I say, Brother De, what’s the rush? Something went wrong?” An Xiaohai feels a bit uneasy.

“No surprises, it went smoothly, but Qiu Peng is such a beast! He kept Feng Jie occupied from noon until 3 a.m. – 14 hours straight, almost killing her! Now she wants a raise, so I had no choice but to give her an extra thousand. Is this guy even human?” Zhao De says, looking frustrated.

An Xiaohai finally understands.

“20,000, Feng Jie gets 3,000, now an extra thousand for her, totaling 24,000. We each get 12,000, right? So why is this 13,000? Are you trying to scam me?!”

“I wouldn’t dare scam you, my brother!” Zhao De quickly responds, “That tea house is owned by my brother! How could I not pay? Even if we’re brothers, we need to settle accounts!”

“Well, alright, you have a point, I’ll accept it, but I told you before, I don’t have the money now, I’ll need to wait until I’m out.”

“I’ve already paid for it. Seriously, I’m afraid of you now! Just accept it; it’s not a small amount. But speaking of, what should we do with that stuff?”

Zhao De seems a bit lost.

“Brother De, listen to me—throw it away, the farther, the better, preferably into the sea, where no one can get it back,” An Xiaohai calmly advises.

“Throw it away? That’s such a waste! Besides, it might still be useful later…” Zhao De protests.

“Stop! Don’t think like that! Trust me, it’s dangerous. If that thing goes out, the consequences will be much worse. But since you’re the boss, it’s up to you. I’ve already warned you, though—this ends here. It’s none of my business after this.”

“Alright, I’ll listen to you, I’ll throw it away,” Zhao De says after some thought, nodding in agreement.

“Also, Feng Jie needs to be dealt with properly. We can’t let Qiu Peng find her.”

“Don’t worry, she’s already planning to go to Magic City. I helped her out there with some connections. She’s really happy and should already be on a train now.”

“Did your people see her get on the train?”

“Of course! If those little bastards lie to me, I’ll kill them when I get back! Don’t worry, I’ve got this handled. Honestly, I have to call you ‘boss’ now—I really respect you!”

On the other side, Qiu Peng stretches lazily in bed, letting out a low moan of either pleasure or pain. It’s been a long time since he’s indulged himself like this!

He never expected to meet someone like Feng Jie, who awakened a long-lost sense of conquest and competitiveness. Their night together had been immensely satisfying.

The bed is now empty, and Feng Jie is nowhere to be seen.

Qiu Peng vaguely remembers that she must have left early in the morning. When he woke up, he saw Feng Jie, still weak, supporting herself against the wall as she went to shower. He felt quite proud.

Although Feng Jie was exhausted, she still gathered her things after the shower and left, giving Qiu Peng a kiss goodbye.

She knows how to play her part. If she had stayed any longer, Qiu Peng might have tipped her for her services.

But Qiu Peng is willing to give her the tip. The night was too fulfilling, and he hasn’t felt such satisfaction in a long time.

With great effort, Qiu Peng gets up and prepares for his shift. Luckily, he foresaw this and had asked Wu Yuehong, an older prison guard, to cover for him if he didn’t show up.

He hums a tune as he showers, but when he picks up his briefcase to leave, a shock hits him. His briefcase is much lighter than the day before!

He nervously opens it, struggling with the zipper, and finds that the 20,000 HKD is still there—but the gun is gone!

“My gun! Where is my gun?!!” Qiu Peng feels like he’s been struck by lightning.
