Chapter 3 Then Die
“What did you say? Are you ordering me? Are you out of your mind?” Qin Zian couldn’t believe his ears.
In his eyes, Qin Qiuxi was taciturn, always wearing a dusty set of clothes. She was like a transparent person, except for silently doing her work.
When did she dare to speak to him so loudly?
“Are you deaf? I told you to pick it up, do I need to remind you again? Huh?”
Qin Ruo looked down at her feet, the old cloth shoes with worn-out heels.
Then she looked at Qin Zimu standing beside her, his toes, exposed outside the broken shoes, were red and cracked, and her voice became even colder.
She felt sorry for Qin Qiuxi. Because of this person’s request for fish for lunch, Qin Qiuxi went to the back mountain in the cold weather, and as a result, she lost her life.
And this so-called brother, her own sister’s head was still bandaged with herbs, and he didn’t even say a word of concern.
Instead, he was furious because he couldn’t eat fish for lunch, a complete white-eyed wolf.
“Sister, I’ll pick it up, I’ll pick it up.” Qin Zimu hurriedly walked over and bent down to pick up the things that Qin Zian had thrown on the ground.
Compared to his sister, Qin Ruo, Qin Zimu was obviously more afraid of Qin Zian.
“Stop, did I tell you to pick it up?” Qin Ruo reached out and grabbed Qin Zimu’s collar, pulling him aside.
Qin Zimu didn’t dare to struggle, he froze in place and didn’t dare to speak.
As another invisible person in the family, Qin Zimu didn’t dare to offend anyone.
“Useless thing, you can’t even catch a fish, what are you going crazy for? Who do you think you are?”
Qin Zian snorted coldly, not taking Qin Ruo seriously at all, and turned to walk into the house.
Qin Ruo took three steps in two and swept her leg out, kicking Qin Zian to the ground.
She had made up her mind, since she was here, she would make the best of it.
She would do whatever made her comfortable, anyway, she would leave sooner or later, she wouldn’t put up with this.
“Qin Qiuxi, are you crazy? You dare to hit me?” Qin Zian endured the pain and got up from the ground, his eyes red as he roared.
At this moment, the pain in his body was far less important than the humiliation of losing face.
Qin Zian was furious. He rushed towards Qin Ruo, wanting to give her a severe lesson.
“Brother, brother, stop, don’t hit sister.” Qin Zimu was really crying in anxiety now.
He didn’t care about being afraid, he rushed over and hugged Qin Zian’s legs, refusing to let him go forward.
“Get out!” Qin Zian forcefully threw Qin Zimu aside, his eyes full of rage.
Because of excessive blood loss, Qin Ruo was already feeling uncomfortable.
Seeing Qin Zimu fall to the ground, she completely lost her patience.
Without saying a word, she kicked Qin Zian twice.
Although the original owner’s body was thin, she had been doing farm work and had a lot of strength.
Even though she had injured her head and hadn’t fully recovered, it was effortless for her to deal with Qin Zian, a useless person who couldn’t carry or lift anything.
If it were the previous Qin Ruo, she could have crushed him with a single finger.
She could use her hands instead of her mouth, right? Just beat him up!
What brother! Bah, that was the original owner’s brother, not hers. Qin Ruo wouldn’t show any mercy.
People like Qin Zian, only the old lady Qin in this family treated him like a treasure.
Qin Zian, who was kicked to the ground again, had a distorted face, his heart filled with humiliation.
Because he was good at reading, he passed the examination for a child scholar at the age of thirteen. Everyone in this family treated him like a god.
Was this invisible person taking medicine today? She actually dared to hit him.
“Pick it up!” Qin Ruo narrowed her eyes, her voice full of frost.
“I won’t pick it up, what can you do to me?” Qin Zian, whose self-esteem had been hit, looked at Qin Ruo’s cold eyes, although he was scared in his heart, he still stiffened his neck and didn’t soften his tone at all.
“Oh, what a sin! What a sin! You stinky girl, you’re going to rebel, you dare to hit Big Brother. You…”
Old Lady Qin, who had just returned from outside, saw Qin Ruo kicking Qin Zian to the ground as soon as she reached the front door.
She practically scrambled and rolled into the house.
Old Lady Qin was heartbroken. This grandson was the only hope of the Qin family. What if he was hurt?
Seeing Old Lady Qin appear, Qin Zian seemed to find his confidence.
He was about to get up from the ground when, with a “whoosh,” a fish spear flew past his cheek.
At the same time, he heard Qin Ruo’s cold voice: “Don’t pick it up, then die!”
Qin Zian, who had always been pampered, had never seen such a scene. His face turned pale, and he sat down on the ground, scared into a cold sweat.
He finally understood that Qin Qiuxi was not only not afraid of him, but also not afraid of Old Lady Qin.
This person, who usually didn’t like to speak, really dared to take his life!
Qin Ruo’s actions not only scared Qin Zian, but also scared Old Lady Qin, who sat down on the ground with a thud.
The words she wanted to scold were swallowed back.
Old Lady Qin, who had always been strong, felt her legs go weak for the first time in her life when facing her granddaughter, who was radiating coldness.
Even Old Lady Qin couldn’t be relied on, so Qin Zian didn’t dare to act up anymore.
Enduring the pain and humiliation, he picked up the herbs and wild vegetables on the ground and threw them forcefully into the backpack.
Then, without looking back, he limped towards his room.
“Big Brother, Big Brother…” Old Lady Qin got up and chased after him, calling out to Qin Zian several times, but he didn’t respond.
Old Lady Qin turned around to scold Qin Ruo, but looking at her granddaughter’s calm, black eyes, she opened her mouth but couldn’t say anything.
Today, this granddaughter, who was like a madman, made Old Lady Qin’s heart tremble.
Qin Ruo ignored Old Lady Qin, turned around without saying a word, and walked into the house.
Qin Zimu wiped away his tears, got up from the ground, and silently took the backpack into the house.
Old Lady Qin then noticed something unusual about Qin Ruo: her pale face, the bloodstains on her clothes, and the bandage wrapped around her head.
“You stinky girl, where have you been running wild again, fighting with people?”
Old Lady Qin temporarily lost her desire to manage Qin Zian and rushed over, yelling loudly.
Qin Ruo listened to Old Lady Qin’s loud voice, her heart filled with annoyance. She slammed the door shut.
“Qiuxi…” Old Lady Qin, who almost bumped her nose on the door, stomped her feet in anger and turned around to find a doctor.
It wasn’t that Old Lady Qin cared much for this granddaughter, but she was worried that Qin Ruo would fall ill and there would be no one to handle the household chores.
After all, most of the Qin family’s income now relied on the original owner, Qin Qiuxi.
Inside the house, Qin Ruo had already changed into clean clothes.
She looked around the original owner’s empty room. There was only a wooden bed, a thin quilt full of patches, and an old wooden chest in the corner. There wasn’t even a table in the room.
Qin Ruo curled her lips and became even more determined to leave this place as soon as possible.
The one who was willing to be a cow or a horse was the original owner, not her. She had no interest in staying here and being the Qin family’s old nanny.
