Chapter 6 Did the Empire Disappear?
When Old Lady Qin came back with the empty bowl, the dinner table was empty.
She took the spoon and scooped some soup from the pot, and Old Lady Qin felt a tightness in her chest and shortness of breath.
“Rebellious! Rebellious! Why don’t you starve yourself to death? I specially made this for Qin Zian to nourish his body, are you deliberately trying to anger this old woman to death?”
“How can you be a sister like that? You don’t know how to care for your brother at all, you’re crazy, what kind of talk is that?”
Old Lady Qin’s curses grew louder and louder, and Qin Ruo could hear them clearly in her room.
She ignored them, pulled the quilt over her head, and fell fast asleep.
Qin Zian heard the old woman’s curses and felt a surge of satisfaction.
At the same time, he felt that Old Lady Qin’s loud and boisterous behavior was no different from the shrewish women in the village, and it was somewhat embarrassing.
Besides, he had told Old Lady Qin many times that she shouldn’t call him by his nickname, it was undignified, but she just couldn’t remember.
A look of annoyance flashed in Qin Zian’s eyes, and he slammed the window shut.
Old Lady Qin didn’t know that she had been disliked by her precious grandson. After scolding for a while and not hearing Qin Ruo’s response, she thought her granddaughter was scared.
She then ate her dinner like a victorious rooster.
After she finished eating, she waited and waited, but Qin Ruo didn’t come out to clean up the dishes, and she became angry again.
Usually, after dinner, her granddaughter would come out to clean up the dishes and the kitchen.
Today, she was nowhere to be seen, lazy and greedy, Old Lady Qin couldn’t stand it.
Old Lady Qin was furious, but as soon as she stepped out of the door, she saw Qin Zimu coming out of the room.
“Grandma, Sister, Sister is injured, I’ll wash the dishes.” Qin Zimu stood in front of Old Lady Qin and said softly.
“It’s just a little injury, ask yourself, which girl in Changhe Village is so delicate, why can’t she do some housework? I think you’ve been influenced by that stinky girl.”
Old Lady Qin was immediately furious. She stood with her hands on her hips, her eyes wide as saucers.
Qin Zimu’s words were like pouring oil on fire. Old Lady Qin had her heart set on Qin Zian. She would coax Qin Zian, but she didn’t have the same patience for Qin Zimu.
Qin Zimu didn’t dare to answer, he silently went into the house and started cleaning up the dishes on the table.
“You can do it but you don’t, you can’t do it but you have to show off here. Put it down! Go boil some water for your brother to take a bath later.”
Old Lady Qin glanced at Qin Zimu’s hands, which were covered in frostbite, and she became more and more annoyed.
Qin Zimu obediently put down the dishes and went to the stove, squatting down to stuff dry firewood into the stove.
As night deepened, everything in the Qin family returned to peace.
At this time, Qin Ruo got up from the bed.
When she focused her mind and entered her space, her expression cracked like lightning, inch by inch.
Where was her villa?
Where were all the weapons and supplies she had stockpiled?
Where was the medicine field?
Where was the spirit spring?
Qin Ruo was now standing on the empty ground at the entrance of the space, looking at the only backpack lying lonely at the entrance, her expression blank.
The space that used to be boundless, except for the hundred-square-meter area at the entrance, was pitch black.
Qin Ruo was not calm. She tried to walk a few steps towards the edge of the darkness, but was blocked by an invisible barrier.
“Go to hell, are you playing with me?”
Qin Ruo was instantly furious.
It was bad enough that she had transmigrated to this ghost place, but the “empire” she had built in the space had shrunk.
What the hell was this?
Qin Ruo picked up the backpack she usually used for traveling, opened it and took a look.
Inside, besides two bottles of water, a dozen chocolate bars, a dagger, and some medicine, there was nothing else.
She looked around the entrance of the space and found that there was a huge rock next to the entrance, emitting a faint light.
Qin Ruo leaned closer and saw that a map appeared on the flat surface of the rock.
The map clearly divided the entrance, the medicine field, the spirit spring, the warehouse, the villa area, and a blank area.
This map was a map of her space.
Except for the entrance, the map was in color.
The other areas were gray, and each area showed a lock icon with the words “unlocked” written on it.
Qin Ruo was instantly in a state of confusion.
So the empire I built with my own hard work, I have to “clear the level” and fight it all over again?
She gritted her teeth and tried to call out, “Tiao Tiao…”
The surroundings were quiet, with no response.
Qin Ruo remained calm and looked around.
She spoke again, “Qin Tiao, if you don’t come out by the time I count to three, I’ll dismantle you!”
As soon as she finished speaking, a young boy about five or six years old, with a cute appearance and messy hair, jumped out from behind the boulder.
The little boy looked around, crossed his arms, and shouted, “Who? Who called this young master?”
When he saw Qin Ruo, he thought it was a hallucination and quickly rubbed his eyes.
“Ugly girl? Who are you? Why are you here? Quickly explain yourself to this young master, otherwise…”
“You’re quite bold, Qin Tiao! Who are you calling ugly girl?”
Qin Ruo raised an eyebrow, crossed her arms, and stared straight at the little boy.
“Master?” Tiao Tiao’s arrogance immediately vanished. He took small steps to Qin Ruo’s side, looked up and examined her.
A familiar scent hit him. Although her appearance had changed, the person in front of him was clearly his little master.
Just now, he had called his master an ugly girl.
“Master, you’re finally back! Woohoo, why did you become like this? Tiao Tiao misses you so much.” Qin Tiao suddenly felt guilty.
He rolled his eyes, hugged Qin Ruo’s leg, and started to wail.
“Okay, stop acting. Tell me what’s going on with this space.” Qin Ruo expressionlessly pried open Tiao Tiao’s hands, grabbed his collar, and pulled him aside.
“Master, I don’t know. At that time, I was sitting at home playing Match 3, I was about to clear level 108, you don’t know how difficult that level was…”
“Get to the point!”
“Okay! It’s like this, didn’t you go on a mission yesterday? You told me to stay at home, I was playing, and suddenly I was brought back here. When I came back, the space had changed.”
Tiao Tiao instantly got into character, opened his mouth, and started talking about what happened.
“…That’s how it happened, I was brought back to the space and couldn’t get out. There’s nothing here, the empire you built is gone, my big warehouse is gone.”
“Also, I finally cleared level 108 in my Match 3…” The little boy was really sad now, he sat down on the ground and started to cry.
Qin Ruo: …
So after asking for a long time, I was asking for nothing?
Qin Ruo briefly described her current situation to Tiao Tiao, and asked persistently, “Tiao Tiao, do you know any way to go back?”
According to Tiao Tiao’s previous statement, usually when the master dies, the space will automatically unbind.
Does this mean that I still have a chance to go back?
