Chapter 3
Compared to the fierce tiger, brown bear, and eagle following closely behind, the cute little red fox walking at the front seemed a bit less noticeable.
Qing Liu shifted her gaze from the beautiful fox and focused on the tiger at the very back.
It was a golden-haired tiger, massive and mighty. It was even bigger than the tigers Qing Liu remembered, at least twice the size, and standing next to it, the little cat was beginning to doubt whether she was even the size of one of the tiger’s paws.
Its golden fur shimmered under the sunlight, so dazzling that it almost hurt her eyes. The tiger seemed to be in a bad mood, as it shook its head irritably, then casually glanced over. It locked eyes with Qing Liu, who was squatting on top of the panda’s head. The tiger’s golden pupils were cold and impatient.
When Qing Liu first saw the beast, she had climbed onto the panda’s head in surprise to get a better view.
Now, with the tiger staring right at her, she immediately tensed up, her fur standing on end. The panda, sensing the cat’s fear, kindly reached out to pat Qing Liu.
Qing Liu felt nervous but also a little excited.
Was this tiger really the pet of the litter box manager? Could she really pet it?
The tiger had an injury on its right front leg, wrapped in white bandages. Perhaps because of this, it was walking very slowly. Qing Liu noticed this and wondered if her healing ability still worked. If it did, she could help the tiger with its leg injury.
If that happened, she’d definitely get closer to the tiger and fulfill her great dream of petting the tiger’s whiskers!
Ahead of the tiger was a large brown bear. This bear was truly intimidating—Qing Liu estimated it was almost four meters tall, taller than the golden-haired tiger behind it by half a head. Its ears were small, and its eyes round and shiny. It walked slowly, with its round, waddling figure looking quite adorable.
Although she knew this was a fierce beast, Qing Liu truly couldn’t bring herself to be afraid. Moreover, the brown bear seemed to have a much better temper than the tiger. The bear also noticed Qing Liu, but instead of being cold or impatient, it actually brightened up when it saw the little white cat on the panda’s head. Then, it happily waved its paw in the direction of the panda.
Qing Liu widened her cat eyes in shock, staring at the brown bear that looked so human-like.
The panda beneath her also got up from its lounge chair, holding a bamboo shoot in its paw, and, with the little white cat on its head, waved its paw at the four approaching fluffy creatures.
Qing Liu, imitating the panda, stretched out one of her pink paw pads and waved at the beasts.
When the brown bear saw the little white cat wave, it practically jumped for joy!
It immediately sped up, moving towards the panda and Qing Liu.
Normally, bears run on all fours, but this bear was different—it preferred to run upright, its round belly shaking with each step, its two front paws awkwardly swinging back and forth. It looked absolutely adorable and hilarious.
The audience in the live stream was laughing their heads off.
【This bear reminds me of a certain goofy male actor.】
【Ahhhh, yes, yes! It must be him! He loves little pets, just look at his eyes—definitely!】
【Ah, I get it now!】
【But who’s that tiger? A golden-haired tiger, wow, that’s so rare! Its psychic level must be very high!】
【Golden-haired tigers are even rarer than white tigers! Is this a new addition?】
—
The viewers in the live stream were discussing the new guests, but since public figures are very cautious about protecting their privacy, the audience actually had no idea about the true identities of these fluffy creatures.
Even the identity of the brown bear was just a guess, and they didn’t dare to confirm it.
The brown bear happily bounded over and stood in front of the panda. It was much taller than the panda, so it had to lower its head to look at the little white cat on top of the panda’s head.
Qing Liu tilted her head and looked up at the brown bear that was right in front of her. “Meow?”
“What’s up, dummy!”
Qing Liu, bold as ever, stretched out her paw and gently ruffled the brown bear’s head.
The brown bear’s eyes brightened, and it hopped around a few times, then carefully stretched out its paw to shake hands with the little white cat.
The little white cat was so cute, it was melting his heart!
Such an adorable beast form! If only he had met it sooner! This was exactly the type of partner he had dreamed of!
The brown bear was so fond of the little white cat that Qing Liu could almost see pink bubbles popping up in its eyes.
She then extended her paw and gently placed it on the brown bear’s large black paw. The brown bear excitedly grinned, and, out of nowhere, pulled out a handful of candy, holding it carefully in both paws and offering it to Qing Liu.
Qing Liu: “……”
Live Stream:
【Wow, wow, wow, Mr. Brown Bear’s crush is the little white cat!】
【If he knew that the little white cat’s crush is Miss Panda, I wonder what he’d think, hahaha.】
However, what saddened the bear was that the little white cat did not accept his candy.
Qing Liu looked at the candy, which was even bigger than her paw, with no reaction at all.
She didn’t like candy, and besides, the candy was too large, so she wasn’t interested.
So, she extended her paw and gently pushed the brown bear’s paw, holding the candy, away and shook her head.
The brown bear: “……”
The little bear’s joyful face instantly fell.
His eyebrows drooped, and it was as if dark clouds were gathering above his head, the whole bear seemed to become sad.
Qing Liu: “……”
Well, she couldn’t take that look anymore. With a sigh, she stood up, leaned forward, grabbed a piece of candy with her mouth, and shook her tail at the brown bear.
“Don’t cry, don’t cry, I’ve accepted the gift!”
At this moment, the fire fox and golden-haired tiger also came over. The five furry creatures stood together in the garden, and Qing Liu thought that the pet team of the [1]“litterbox cleaner” is a literal translation of the phrase “铲屎官” (chǎn shǐ guān) in Chinese, which is a humorous and affectionate term used to refer to pet owners, … Continue readinglitter box cleaner was already large enough—until!
A sharp eagle cry echoed from above, and a white eagle with wings spanning over three meters flew from the distance.
It was a pure white male eagle! As it swooped down from the sky, its hunting-like gaze made Qing Liu’s fur stand on end. She cried “Meow!” and quickly jumped off the panda’s head, hiding under the tiger’s legs instead.
She curled up, trembling, against the tiger’s front leg.
The tiger: “???”
The white eagle swooped down from the sky and finally landed on a banyan tree in the garden, standing tall. Its sharp eagle eyes casually swept over the group of fluffy creatures, and when it saw the little white cat, its fur standing on end as it hid under the tiger, its gaze paused for a moment, somewhat surprised.
The fire fox was already quite rare, but a small, cute pet like the little white cat was even rarer.
No one could resist such a cute little pet, and even the cold and aloof white eagle was no exception!
Now that all the fluffy creatures were present, the live broadcast officially began!
The brown bear and the little white cat had chosen their crushes, but the other fluffy creatures had not yet, and everyone was eager to see who they would pick.
【The fire fox is so beautiful! I can’t believe no one would be charmed by it!】
【The golden-haired tiger definitely has high mental power, someone is definitely going to choose him!】
【The little white cat is so cute, her votes are definitely going to be high!】
—
Each of the six fluffy creatures had their own advantages. Although some of them were rumored to be invited as blacklisted guests by the production team, or were ordinary people, the audience didn’t know their real identities yet. So, the live stream was currently very popular, with each of the fluffy creatures’ individual live streams having a large following.
So far, the golden-haired tiger, fire fox, and little white cat’s live streams had the highest popularity, temporarily ranking in the top three.
However, this popularity was temporary. Whether they could maintain it would depend on the confession segment on the seventh day, where they would transform into human form.
Each of the six fluffy creatures had a small flying orb with a bamboo helicopter on top following them — these were the cameras assigned to each guest by the production team. When Qing Liu noticed them, she belatedly looked up, only to realize there was one above her head too.
At this moment, the camera had already captured her earlier frightened reaction, and now, she was hiding under the golden tiger’s body with her fur standing on end. The little orb above her head had a red light on, clearly recording her.
Qing Liu: “……”
She had no idea she was on a dating reality show. She just thought this was something her pet owner arranged, probably because the owner went to work but wanted to keep an eye on how the pets were doing, so they set up this camera.
The golden-haired tiger looked at the little white cat in disbelief, thinking, ‘She’s scared of the white eagle, but she’s not scared of me?’
‘I’m a freaking tiger!’
He felt speechless.
Although the little white cat’s fur standing on end was cute, the golden-haired tiger didn’t like close contact with others. He stared blankly at the little white cat as she scurried under his body, hiding from the eagle, and thought, ‘We’re all humans in animal form, why is she so afraid?’
Feeling helpless, he stepped back to avoid her.
Qing Liu watched as the protective barrier around her gradually shrank. She looked up, then moved back and hid under the tiger.
The tiger shot her a glance, then retreated. The little white cat followed.
The tiger moved sideways, and the little white cat followed him.
Golden-haired tiger: “……”
The golden-haired tiger lowered his head and looked at the soft little bundle of fur. Coldly, he extended his uninjured paw and gently pushed the little white cat, who was trying to crawl under him again, forward.
The tiger’s paw was much larger than the little white cat’s head, and when he lightly pressed it against her, she couldn’t move forward anymore.
The little white cat froze for a moment, “Meow?”
She looked up in confusion, only to see a tiger’s paw blocking her head. She dug her paws into the ground and pushed forward with all her might, but couldn’t budge an inch.
Qing Liu: “……”
Qing Liu struggled for a while, staring at the tiger’s paw. She pushed with all four of her paws, but after a while, she was exhausted. She gave up the struggle and collapsed onto the ground to rest.
At the same time, she cast a resentful glance at the golden-haired tiger, thinking to herself, ‘This golden-haired tiger is not friendly to cats at all!’
‘I definitely won’t help him heal his leg!’
