Seeing that the men didn’t move, Zhong Li turned her head and angrily shouted at them,

 “Are you deaf? Immediately, right now, arrest them!”

The men exchanged glances. One of them, emboldened, took a step forward and whispered in Zhong Li’s ear,

“Sister Zhong, these people don’t seem simple. Maybe we should just drop it. Otherwise, if it gets out of hand, it might be bad for the mayor.”

 Zhong Li was so angry that her face turned red. She yelled at them.

Lu Qingyun sat down in the chair, picked up the teacup on the table, and sipped slowly.

Soon, the man who went to make a call came back. He walked to Zhong Li’s side,

“The mayor wants you to go back.” He had just told the mayor about what happened here, and the mayor had asked Zhong Li to go back.

“Nonsense! My brother would never ask me to go back. You must be lying. When I get back, I’ll have my brother fire you.”

Zhong Li didn’t believe the man’s words at all.

She had bullied many people with her brother’s identity, and he had never asked her to go back halfway through.
