Little Sweet Secretary
In college, Shen Mi had a master in an online game—a ruthless, silent type who frequently helped her achieve easy victories. After graduating, Shen Mi struggled to find a job and, feeling dejected, logged into the game to vent to her master, saying, “All the CEOs in real life are either balding or lecherous!”
Her master replied, “What position are you applying for?”
“Secretary,” Shen Mi answered.
He then sent her an address and suggested, “This company is hiring. You might want to try.”
Shen Mi went for the interview—and landed the job.
When Shen Mi got home, she excitedly logged into the game and, with her limited vocabulary, described her new boss: “My boss is so gentlemanly and kind! He’s also tall and handsome!!!”
Her master responded indifferently with a single word: “Oh.” After that, he didn’t log back on.
In her second month on the job, Shen Mi had the chance to see the big boss of the company during an inspection visit, and she finally understood the true meaning of “tall and handsome.”
That evening, her master happened to log back on. Shen Mi quickly shared, “I saw our company’s big boss today!”
Her master: “Describe him.”
Shen Mi thought back to the refined, charming man with captivating eyes she’d seen during the day, the one who had left her a bit dazed. She typed her response: “He looks like a total player.”
Her master never logged on again.
Not long after, Shen Mi received a transfer order, promoting her to the headquarters office as the boss’s secretary. She spent the following months working diligently, though somewhat on edge.
One day in the cramped space of the elevator, the young CEO stood beside her. His tailored suit emphasized his great figure, and his handsome profile caught her attention, making her steal a couple of glances.
“What are you looking at?” The man turned his gaze to her and suddenly smirked, his tone chillingly indifferent. “Never seen a ‘player’ before?”
Shen Mi: …?!
