Zhou Qing was shouting and acting all dramatic over there, while Zheng Gongdong’s face turned as dark as Bao Gong’s. The new lover stood next to him, stunned, because the person next door was really yelling in such an exaggerated, passionate way.
The nurse who came to stop them was also taken aback by the noise inside and how shamelessly loud they were. She was so embarrassed that she couldn’t move. Even though she had seen a lot, she still had to cover her red face and go call the doctor to handle the situation.
Zhou Qing screamed so loudly it shook the heavens, making Zhang Shirui’s lower body harder like never before. When he finally released, he let out a roar that sounded like a leopard’s cry. The whole floor was left in silence, except for the lingering echoes of their sounds.
The subordinates were completely at a loss for words.
After Zhou Qing finished and was pulling people to leave, no one dared to stop him.
If people used to think Brother Qing was a merciless leader who meant what he said, now they felt even more that there was nothing he wouldn’t dare to do.
Although it wasn’t done openly, his actions were even more provocative and shameless than if they had been done in front of everyone. Clearly, Brother Qing had complete control of the situation..
Even the boss was taken aback.
The man who had followed him for over ten years was now humiliating him in the next room, enjoying himself while doing so. Zheng Gongdong’s pride was thoroughly shattered today.
However, he really couldn’t do anything to Zhou Qing.
Because Zhou Qing had made it clear: “The bridge is for crossing, and the road is for walking. If you dare touch me, Zheng Gongdong, be careful, I’ll make sure we both go down together.”
Zheng Gongdong couldn’t afford to take Zhou Qing’s words lightly. That madman was indeed capable of it!
He had no choice but to swallow his pride, grit his teeth, and accept it, even though it stung deep in his heart.
Because in the beginning, it was he who crossed the line and offended Zhou Qing.
But Zhou Qing was really something else. He was just a thug who had come up from nothing, and now he was talking about loyalty and virtue—wasn’t that a joke? Hadn’t he been loyal to Zhou Qing for so long? Didn’t that prove how much he loved him?
What was the point of getting caught up over this? Who didn’t have a few lover on the side? He just played around a little, and Zhou Qing treated him like this? If he bowed down to that, then damn it, he wouldn’t be Zheng Gongdong anymore.
Zheng Gongdong’s thoughts were of no concern to Zhou Qing.
Once he had used Zhang Shirui, he quickly kicked him aside and hopped into a car, driving off.
Zhang Shirui, seeing the car door shut too fast to get in, took his subordinate’s car and followed behind.
With his revenge fulfilled, Zhou Qing felt a sense of relief and really didn’t want to dwell on matters with Zheng Gongdong anymore.
After all, there had once been affection between them. Zheng Gongdong had treated him well before, and Zhou Qing still remembered that kindness. He wouldn’t do anything to harm him or use petty matters to get back at him again.
From now on, he and Zheng Gongdong would have no relationship outside of work.
Zhou Qing would do his thing, and Zheng Gongdong would do his.
In this world, no one is irreplaceable. No matter how deep the love, it’s just that—it fades, and when it’s over, it’s over. At worst, he would spend a few years forgetting that affection and find someone new to warm his heart.
As long as a person is alive, they have to look forward. Zhou Qing wasn’t one to live a life full of sorrow. He wasn’t the type to fall apart if someone left. He’d been out on his own since his teens, and life had long taught him that at the right moment, the best way to protect himself was to have a heart of stone.
Zheng Gongdong’s betrayal hurt him deeply, but even though it felt like a knife was cutting through his heart, he would allow that dull blade to hurt him for only a few seconds—no longer.
Love and affection were things he gave his all when he had them, but once they were gone, he would never grovel or beg for them back.
If it was gone, it was gone.
In this world, everyone has something they lose. No one should beg or pity anyone else.
It’s the same as before: do what needs to be done, and move on.
Zhou Qing went to the bar to continue looking for men. However, as soon as he arrived, the owner was dumbfounded, the cigarette dropped from his mouth, and he yelled in astonishment, “My Ancestor, could you please change that pair of pants covered in semen before coming back here?”
Zhou Qing listened and casually glanced at his pants, noticing they were indeed in a terrible state, covered in too many stains. He shrugged indifferently and, right there in front of the scattered crowd of about ten or so people in the bar, he began to unbutton them.
At that moment, the dozen or so regulars in the bar all turned their eyes like hungry wolves, staring intensely at the person by the bar counter—someone who made their mouths go dry more with clothes than without.
