Chapter 41 : Your Stepmother’s Mouth is Quite Sharp

Zheng Lanhua wasn’t foolish. She knew that the original Fang Yaqiu had returned to the provincial capital’s Xu family, and by a twist of fate, it had turned into the current Fang Xiaoluo.  

So when she heard the name Xu Yaqiu, it immediately reminded her of the situation.  

Although her son didn’t directly say anything when he came back, it was clear that Xu Yaqiu had refused the arranged marriage with him back then. It was because she had returned to the provincial capital, thinking of herself as a young lady, and started to look down on her son, right?  

She had attached herself to the son of some factory director from Jiangcheng and now was coming to frame her son?  

Shen Zheng responded, “Yes.”  

Fang Xiaoluo said, “I’ll go with you.”  

Zheng Lanhua also wanted to see what this Xu Yaqiu looked like, but Shen Haiping and Shen Jinxia were still at home.  

As she saw Fang Xiaoluo and Shen Zheng leaving, Shen Jinxia furrowed her little brows, looking worried, as if she were a little adult.

Shen Jinxia slowly said, “Grandma, do you think Dad and sister will be in danger?.”

Shen Jinxia tilted her little head. “Sister is so gentle, she would never argue. What if the bad people hit her? Sister would definitely get hurt.”  

After thinking for a while, Shen Jinxia tugged at Zheng Lanhua’s sleeve. “Grandma, can we follow them to see what’s going on?”  

Zheng Lanhua’s mind stirred, but she said, “If we leave, who will watch over your second brother?”  

Just as her words finished, she saw Shen Haiping walking outside, clearly following Fang Xiaoluo.  

Zheng Lanhua was shocked and quickly pulled Shen Jinxia to follow.  

When Fang Xiaoluo and Shen Zheng reached the door, the people were already gone. The soldier at the entrance said that Li Zhongxun had taken Xu Yaqiu and the others to a nearby conference room.

Shen Zheng opened the door and strode in, with Fang Xiaoluo following behind him.  

Shen Zheng stood at attention and saluted. “Division Commander, you were looking for me.”  

Li Zhongxun asked, “Shen Zheng, do you recognize these comrades?”

Li Zhongxun asked again, “Let me ask you, did you condone your son Shen Haiping biting Xu Yaqiu?”  

Shen Zheng remained calm and replied, “Report, no!”

Zhao Lihong suddenly jumped up, “Shen Zheng, don’t be shameless! Yaqiu was bitten, and Yanwen can testify, it was your stupid son who did it!”

At this moment, Shen Haiping had already reached the door of the conference room. He tried to go in, but Zheng Lanhua grabbed him and stopped him.
