Chapter 70: Acting Out This Embarrassing Scene
After reciting her lines, Luo Qianyun felt herself shoved repeatedly, her face flushing bright red.
Lu Yunzheng, holding her from behind, silently comforted her and murmured softly, “I’m sorry for putting you through this.”
Luo Qianyun shook her head slightly. She didn’t mind a little discomfort if it meant getting everyone out safely.
But Lu Yunzheng hadn’t forgotten the purpose of their charade.
He took a moment to compose himself, then spoke with a suppressed tone of restraint, “We’ve only just begun…”
Leaning close to her ear, he whispered, “One more sound.”
Face burning, Luo Qianyun let out a quick, hurried cry.
Outside, the two listeners exchanged glances, realizing that this likely wasn’t going to end anytime soon.
Assuming the commotion was just a pair of bar patrons fooling around and not their targets, they decided to leave their post.
Inside, Lu Yunzheng held Luo Qianyun tightly, continuously reassuring her. Her flushed face, however, didn’t cool down.
Every time she recalled the “shoving,” her thoughts spiraled into embarrassment.
Touching her warm cheeks, Luo Qianyun muttered, “Was it… your abs just now?”
Lu Yunzheng raised an eyebrow at her, “You did say you wanted to sit on my abs before, didn’t you?”
“What? When did I ever say that?” Luo Qianyun was caught off guard.
“Think carefully,” Lu Yunzheng teased.
After a brief pause, Luo Qianyun realized he wasn’t lying. She had jokingly mentioned it before but never followed through—it felt way too bold.
Seeing her recognition, Lu Yunzheng smirked. “Well, does this count as fulfilling your wish?”
Understanding dawned on her, and Luo Qianyun’s face grew even redder.
“So… earlier… that was really your abs?”
Caught in this ridiculous misunderstanding, Luo Qianyun’s embarrassment only deepened.
As time passed, Luo Qianyun’s phone buzzed.
Checking it, she saw a message from Song Yunjing:
“Babe, where are you? Half an hour has passed; Mo Li and I are here to pick you up.”
Mo Li, the bar owner, was with Yunjing and a few bodyguards. But as they approached the VIP area, they noticed several pairs of watchful eyes following them.
Song Yunjing, sensing something off, quickly texted another message to Luo Qianyun:
“We’ve got company. I’ll say I’m here to fetch my sister and can only take one person out.”
Deleting the second message for safety, she left only the first.
After showing the exchange to Lu Yunzhen, Luo Qianyun whispered, “You should message Xiao Zhou…”
Meanwhile, Xiao Zhou, who had changed into a plain white T-shirt and jeans, looked nothing like a “girl” anymore.
When Song Yunjing and her group reached the restroom area, she called out loudly, “Zhouzhou! Your sister’s here to take you home!”
Xiao Zhou, now blending in with his androgynous appearance, cautiously stepped forward.
“Didn’t you say your sister was a girl? This one looks like a boy,” one of the men shadowing them remarked skeptically.
Song Yunjing smirked. “You think so too? My sister always said she felt more like a boy than a girl.”
The man scrutinized further. “Still, no curves at all. That’s not normal.”
“She’s on hormone blockers,” Yunjing countered sharply. “Not everyone fits your mold of femininity.”
Turning to Xiao Zhou, she added warmly, “Come here, sweetheart. Ignore these rude people.”
With Mo Li’s assurance as the bar owner, the skeptical men decided to back off, and Yunjing successfully led Xiao Zhou away.
In the meantime, Lu Yunzheng and Luo Qianyun remained hidden.
But over in another part of the bar, Brother Biao—the man in charge of the upcoming transaction—was growing anxious.
Just as he was about to call off the deal, the door to his private booth opened, and one of his subordinates walked in.
“Brother Biao, we’ve got him.”
