Nineteen Little Bugs
The Boston lobster was not finished in the end, so Chu Ran put it in the fresh-keeping room and decided to cook porridge for Lan Ze tomorrow.
In his original idea, he planned to leave Lan Ze to the care of the smart home robot. In this era of advanced technology, a robot is enough to take care of the male zergs who are not fond of exercise and are always quiet.
But his little zerg…
It is estimated that if you are not careful, he can dismantle all the robots at home, and then jump onto the roof, flexibly turn somersaults on the steel frames, or do other things that will give zergs a headache.
Chu Ran raised his head and stretched the stiff muscles in his neck. He had seen so many storms, but he didn’t expect to be stumped by a small zerg cub.
He always planned to be neither too close nor too distant to this cub, and just do the duties that a guardian zerg should fulfill.
But…
He remembered the little zerg’s round eyes that were shining and bright. His big amber eyes were always turning around cleverly, as if he had endless energy. He had an idea every second, and he would never obey. He would never let the zerg guess what he was up to.
But the little one was so cute. Although he knew that he would always cause trouble, he couldn’t help but indulge him.
Chu Ran lowered his head and exhaled, and a look of distress appeared between his eyebrows. If this zerg baby was not related to the alien zerg, he would never raise a baby for no reason.
Hull, with brown hair and brown eyes, came behind him and said respectfully but with expectation: “Admiral, have you still not found the fun of raising a cub? If you don’t mind, I am happy to do it for you.”
“The result of you doing it is that Lan Ze ran to the roof. If I hadn’t asked Heaton to take him away in time, he might have fallen into the hands of the Male zerg Protection Association,” Chu Ran said in a cold tone with a hint of sarcasm.
Hull was very embarrassed. He scratched his short hair and said with a frown: “Admiral, I was just out for a short while, who knew that Lan Ze actually ran to the roof. Who could have thought of this, I wonder how he climbed up.”
“Don’t make excuses for your own negligence, Lan Ze is currently under my care. You go help Meng Chi and Meng Yu, do what you should do,” Chu Ran handed a black hair to Hull. The hair was light and soft, with a soft luster. You could tell at a glance that it was Lan Ze’s hair.
Hull took the hair and put it in a transparent bag, lowered his voice and said: “I will use the most advanced equipment to test it. And Admiral, I bought a bunch of small things that the cubs like. Please let your robot check them.”
Chu Ran nodded gently, and Hull withdrew very respectfully.
In the gym, Lan Ze was running on the treadmill. This was the treadmill used by Admiral Chu Ran. Although Lan Ze turned on the slowest gear, he still ran a little hard. As for the treadmill used by male zergs… maybe it should be called a walking machine.
Sweat gradually soaked Lan Ze’s white vest. After these days of exercise, some muscles have grown on his body, but it’s just a little. If it weren’t for the continuous increase in physical strength, Lan Ze would have fallen into a runaway mode long ago.
After running for half an hour, his physical strength was almost exhausted. Lan Ze walked off the treadmill, lifted his vest and wiped off the sweat on his face.
If this action was done in the past, it would almost attract a lot of hot eyes, but now this milky white bean sprout-like body is so light and fluttery that no matter what action it does, it can’t be done. In the eyes of female zergs, it can only become more and more cute.
Chu Ran took a thin constant temperature blanket and wrapped Lan Ze, who was sweating all over, and hugged him to the bathroom. Lan Ze struggled desperately on the way, but Chu Ran was unmoved. Chu Ran gave him a bath seriously despite Lan Ze’s countless protests.
The automatic drying system in the bathroom started running, and the wet Lan Ze became dry again in about a minute. He put on his clothes with a dark face and walked into the bedroom. Just as he fell on his cradle like bed, Chu Ran walked in with a reader.
Lan Ze sat up from the bed, wrapped in a quilt and asked: “What are you doing? You just gave me a bath and now you come to sleep with me. I tell you, I will never agree!”
Chu Ran sat down at the head of his bed and said expressionlessly: “Tell you a bedtime story.”
Lan Ze almost choked to death on his own saliva.
He waved his hand quickly: “No, no, no, I’m so old, what bedtime story are you telling me? Don’t be so funny, okay?”
“You are just a 15-year-old male zerg cub. According to regulations, cubs of this age must sleep next to adult female zergs…”
Before he finished speaking, Lan Ze’s hair stood up and he immediately said: “Let’s tell a story, just tell a story, really, I don’t want to sleep with other people in the bedroom… I can’t sleep with other zergs!”
As if he had expected Lan Ze to say this, Chu Ran’s face remained unchanged. He held the reader and read the cub a bedtime story in a dry voice without intonation: “Once upon a time, there was a mountain, and there was an airship on the mountain. There was a pink zerg egg on the airship. One day, the zerg egg shell suddenly broke, and there was a small male zerg sleeping in the shell. He slept for a very long time and never woke up. One day, a tall and handsome female zerg came and saw the sleeping male zerg in the eggshell. The face of the larval male was so rosy and cute, his thin skin is as bright as the moonlight of the seventh star, and his lips are more beautiful than roses…”
Everything is a routine. Lan Ze yawned lazily while holding the quilt: “Then they fell in love and lived happily together in the end, right? I’m telling you that I don’t like listening to stories. I can guess the ending as soon as you tell the beginning.”
Chu Ran glanced at the reader, raised his head and said: “No, the female zerg happily picked up the larval male zerg and raised him up, becoming his father, and the two lived happily.”
Lan Ze: “…”
He said very embarrassedly: “Uh…really? This is quite novel, hahaha, then tell the next one, hahaha.”
Chu Ran turned to the next page and continued to tell Lan Ze the so-called bedtime story for the cubs in a tone like reading scientific research documents: “Once upon a time, there was a long-abandoned ruin. One day, a tall and handsome female zerg accidentally came.”
“He walked around in the largest ruins and found a pink-blue zerg egg lying on the top of the ruins. He ran forward excitedly and gently stroked the beautiful zerg egg. Suddenly, the egg cracked open. An extremely beautiful male zerg cub looked at him with big pink-blue eyes. This little male zerg was so beautiful that any beautiful flowers would be eclipsed in front of him. The female zerg kissed the male zerg cub’s beautiful cheek devoutly and gently held the male zerg’s beautiful and soft little hand…”
Lan Ze immediately said categorically: “This time they must have fallen in love, and then lived happily together. Fairy tales are like this!”
Chu Ran looked down at the reader again, then raised his head and said: “No, later this female zerg adopted this male zerg cub and became the male zerg’s father.”
Lan Ze: “…”
He wrapped himself in the quilt silently and looked at Chu Ran. Chu Ran put down the reader and felt that the zerg cub he raised had some problems in his thinking and must be corrected in time.
He looked at Lan Ze very seriously and said in a low voice: “There can be no other relationship between an adult female zerg and a newly born male zerg cub. Why do you always think they will fall in love?”
Lan Ze grinned awkwardly: “Stories always say that female zergs are tall and handsome, and male zergs are so beautiful, so I think they will fall in love.”
Chu Ran said with a stern face: “You like love stories, but you are too small.”
No matter what, you can’t say that a man is small. Lan Ze’s face turned black again, and he said angrily in a small voice with no deterrence: “I tell you, if you say I am small again, I will be angry!”
Chu Ran reached out and touched Lan Ze’s head. The little zerg cub pouted and hid under his palm with an unhappy look.
Chu Ran held his head and suddenly lowered his head to kiss Lan Ze on the cheek. It was a very light kiss, a bit like a business.
Lan Ze looked dark and gave Chu Ran a death stare. Chu Ran patted his face and said softly, “Good night.”
The little zerg stuck out his tongue and made a face at him.
Chu Ran’s lips curled up slightly, and his heart was filled with subtle waves. At this moment, he felt a long-lost happiness. He hadn’t felt so relaxed and happy for many years.
A smile appeared in his eyes, and soon disappeared in the thick gray mist.
In the depths of the night, a small dim light was quietly lit, and a gray shadow stretched on the wall. A zerg slowly walked out of the shadow, and its blue eyes were still bright even in the dark.
“You are one minute late.”
The visitor blinked his blue eyes and said very sadly: “Admiral…”
Chu Ran interrupted the nonsense he was about to say and said bluntly: “What are Hull’s test results?”
Meng Chi immediately became serious and lowered his voice: “His gene sequence is abnormal.”
Chu Ran tightened his jaw, interlaced his fingers, and said slowly: “His gene sequence level has been rising continuously, and there has been no downward trend?”
Meng Chi moved his eyes and whispered: “Yes, if it continues to rise like this, his gene sequence will evolve into a very terrifying level. At that time, all the powerful forces such as the chaebols, the interstellar pirates, the federal international army, the alien zergs, etc. will fight for him at all costs.”
“Fortunately, Lan Ze fell into our hands. He is very important to us, Admiral, we must inject Lan Ze with inhibitors as soon as possible to temporarily suppress his gene sequence,” Meng Chi said excitedly.
Chu Ran smiled and said lightly: “The vaccine that Lan Ze was injected with was a gene inhibitor. In these two months, Lan Ze’s gene sequence will drop rapidly. Only when he is an adult will his gene sequence appear and reflect his true value.”
Meng Chi’s eyes lit up and he said excitedly: “Is this why you raised Lan Ze?”
Chu Ran lowered his eyes slightly: “In the beginning, it was.”
