Kiss the Medal! With Red Lips! A Sweet and Seductive Military Marriage Chapter 119

Chapter 119: Leaving, a Kiss

After finishing his meeting, Su Hongsheng saw his wife sitting on a chair.

“What’s got you so absorbed in thought?” Su Hongsheng asked curiously, sitting down beside her.

Meng Xian looked at her husband and couldn’t help but ask, “Honey, what do you think of Xiao Pingguo?”

“Xiao Pingguo?” Su Hongsheng was slightly taken aback. Although he hadn’t been able to help much in the disaster area recently, thanks to Meng Xian, he had gotten to know the child.

Still, he wasn’t sure why she suddenly brought this up. “Xiao Pingguo is adorable and well-behaved. Why, are you thinking about sponsoring her?”

The Su family had sponsored many underprivileged students, so adding one more wouldn’t be an issue.

“Qianyun said… if we like her, we could adopt Xiao Pingguo,” Meng Xian said softly.

Hearing this, Su Hongsheng looked at Meng Xian. “What do you think?”

“I feel conflicted,” Meng Xian admitted. “On one hand, I do find Xiao Pingguo very endearing. But on the other hand, we just reunited with Qianyun, and I want to give her all our love.”

Listening to his wife, Su Hongsheng thought for a moment and replied, “If that’s how you feel, I think you already have your answer.”

“You see through everything,” Meng Xian sighed. “The reason I’m so torn is something Qianyun said.”

“What did she say?” Su Hongsheng asked, intrigued.

“Qianyun said Xiao Pingguo reminds her of how she used to be,” Meng Xian explained.

At first, Su Hongsheng didn’t think much of it. But as he pondered, he understood.

Their daughter had been abducted as a child, robbing them of her entire childhood. They didn’t even know what she looked like back then.

Under these circumstances, it was no wonder his wife was moved when she heard Xiao Pingguo was similar to their daughter as a child.

“But adopting her just because of that wouldn’t be fair to Xiao Pingguo,” Meng Xian added.

Compared to Meng Xian, Su Hongsheng seemed more open-minded. “If you ask me, stop overthinking it for now. Qianyun’s mission here won’t last forever. We should cherish the time we have with her. As for Xiao Pingguo, if we can’t bear to leave her behind, we can either adopt her or visit her often.”

“You’re right. Trying to force an answer now is just making things harder for me,” Meng Xian admitted.

Su Hongsheng smiled gently. “By the way, some fresh vegetables arrived today. I’ll make something delicious for you both later.”

As time passed, Luo Qianyun grew increasingly accustomed to her surroundings. However, as the situation stabilized and the local healthcare system recovered, their medical team began preparing for departure.

Coincidentally, Lu Yunzheng’s team was also planning to leave around the same time.

“So, can we return together?” Luo Qianyun knew it was unlikely, but she couldn’t help asking.

And just as she expected, the answer was no.

With an apologetic look, Lu Yunzheng offered a soothing kiss. “I’m sorry, Qianqian.”

“Don’t apologize. It’s not your fault,” Luo Qianyun said, her eyes welling up. “I understand. As a military spouse, I fully support your work.”

But as her tears fell, his heart ached deeply.

Lowering his head, Lu Yunzheng kissed her tenderly, unable to do anything else to comfort her. Through the kiss, he tried to convey the depth of his feelings for her.

Luo Qianyun passively accepted his kiss, gradually losing herself in it. She could feel the restraint he always had to exercise around her.

When she opened her eyes, she caught a glimpse of fleeting desire in his gaze.

They were leaving tomorrow, and another long separation loomed. Yet, in a camp full of people, there was no way to act on their feelings…

And as for the wilderness? Um… she wasn’t quite that daring yet.

When they returned from their walk, Xu Jia immediately noticed Luo Qianyun’s slightly swollen lips and couldn’t help but avert her gaze awkwardly.

“Get some rest tonight. We’re leaving at nine tomorrow. Make sure you’ve packed everything,” Xu Jia said, coming to inform her of the schedule.

“Okay, thank you, Dr. Xu,” Luo Qianyun replied.

Watching the two of them, Xu Jia kindly suggested, “The town has a hotel. Maybe you two could…”

“…No need,” Luo Qianyun blushed, feeling incredibly embarrassed.

Seeing this, Xu Jia said no more and left.

After Xu Jia was gone, Luo Qianyun turned to Lu Yunzheng and seriously explained, “We’re here for disaster relief. Doing something like that would reflect poorly on both of us.”

“Don’t worry. Even if you wanted to, I’d stop you,” Lu Yunzheng said with a teasing smile, patting her head.

“What do you mean, ‘if I wanted to’? Clearly, you’re the one more likely to want it,” Luo Qianyun retorted, flustered.

Hearing this, Lu Yunzheng leaned close and whispered in her ear, “If I didn’t want to, something would be wrong with me.”

His warm breath tickled her ear, sending a shiver down her spine.

“But we have all the time in the world,” Lu Yunzheng added, placing a light kiss on her reddened ear.

A sudden rush of electricity coursed through her, making her tremble slightly.

“Lu Yunzheng!” Luo Qianyun exclaimed, covering her ear in embarrassment, her eyes tinged with red.

What she didn’t realize was that her flustered appearance only made her more alluring. Unable to resist, Lu Yunzheng pulled her into a secluded corner. Holding her hands above her head, he kissed her deeply.

The motion was swift and seamless, catching Luo Qianyun completely off guard.

This time, his kiss was intense and urgent, leaving her feeling as though she might be swallowed whole.

Meanwhile, his rough hands slid under her shirt, gently stroking her lower back.

His calloused palms left a tingling sensation wherever they touched, and under his dual assault, Luo Qianyun felt like a delicate flower battered by the storm.

When he finally let her go, Luo Qianyun looked up at him with teary eyes. “Enough, Lu Yunzheng…”

Her voice, tinged with urgency and soft allure, was unintentionally provocative.

Lu Yunzheng gazed at her for a long moment, so long that she thought he might kiss her again.

“After working so hard, shouldn’t your hospital give you some time off?” he asked in a husky voice.

“Yes, three days after a quick stop at the hospital,” Luo Qianyun replied without hesitation.

Satisfied with her answer, Lu Yunzheng smiled. “Good. Be good and head back. I won’t see you off tomorrow.”

“Aren’t we leaving together?” Luo Qianyun asked, confused.

“Suddenly thought leaving tonight sounds nice. It doesn’t matter where I sleep,” Lu Yunzheng replied.

“…That’s so sudden,” Luo Qianyun muttered, bewildered.

Lu Yunzheng chuckled lightly. “Yes, it is.”
