Chapter 19 A Big Feast

After all the commotion, it was already dark outside. Lu Chenxi was really tired from the afternoon, and she didn’t want to cook dinner at all. She just wanted to find something to eat and get by.

“Let’s just decide on this. We’ll have a big feast tomorrow and enjoy ourselves. There are so many ingredients in the space that I haven’t had time to cook,” Lu Chenxi said, imagining herself eating a big feast. A suspicious liquid seemed to flow from the corner of her mouth. Stop, stop, she couldn’t think about it anymore.

“Chenyue, my little darling, is there anything you want to eat tonight?”

“Sister, let’s eat steamed buns tonight. That way, you don’t have to cook. It’s hard work,” Chenyue’s thoughts coincided with Lu Chenxi’s. She was truly her most caring little angel.

Thinking that steamed buns might be a bit dry, Lu Chenxi prepared an apple for each of them. It was important to get their daily dose of vitamins.

Lu Chenxi finished her dinner in less than 10 minutes. Not having to cook saved time. Chenyue was a little slower. She was still losing her baby teeth, so she couldn’t eat fast.

After eating, Lu Chenxi felt sticky all over. Because of limited conditions, they hadn’t taken a bath since entering the survival world.

As soon as the thought crossed her mind, Lu Chenxi remembered the large wooden bucket blueprint she had opened in the afternoon. She quickly opened the workbench and made a wooden bucket. While waiting for the bucket to be made, she also boiled some hot water.

Half an hour later, Lu Chenxi and Chenyue had a long-awaited hot bath, changed into clean pajamas, and felt refreshed.

At first, the chat was going well, but after some trolls appeared who couldn’t stand to see others doing well, the chat area quickly escalated into a shouting match. There was very little useful information, and Lu Chenxi didn’t read for too long. Feeling her eyelids getting heavy, she closed the system panel and went to sleep.

The next day, Lu Chenxi woke up late. She had worked hard yesterday, so she allowed herself to sleep in.

Finally, no classes, no work, and they had plenty of supplies now. They didn’t have any survival pressure for the time being, so it was okay to be lazy occasionally.

Turning sideways to look at Chenyue, who was still asleep, Lu Chenxi raised her right hand and gently pinched her slightly tanned cheek.

She had been in the sun a lot these past few days, and without sunscreen, Chenyue’s white face had turned red. She had to be careful, or her beautiful child would turn into a black charcoal.

Chenyue, who was woken up by her sister, pushed her sister’s mischievous hand away, turned over, and continued to sleep.

Lu Chenxi didn’t give up. She followed and continued to pinch her. Chenyue was annoyed and burrowed under the blanket to hide.

Seeing Chenyue’s actions, Lu Chenxi felt a little guilty and said, “Okay, okay, sister won’t bother you anymore. Come out, we need to wash up and eat breakfast.”

Chenyue, muffled under the blanket, mumbled, “Bad sister,” but she still got out of bed obediently.

For breakfast, they each had a bottle of milk and a banana, successfully replenishing their protein and vitamins.

After breakfast, the two sisters started their daily check-in tasks. It had to be said that having plenty of supplies gave Lu Chenxi confidence. She wasn’t as enthusiastic about checking in as she was at the beginning.

Seeing that there were actually Spicy Strips, Lu Chenxi was overjoyed. She was a spicy food lover and couldn’t resist them.

As for why her first reaction was to hide them, it was because children shouldn’t eat Spicy Strips. It was bad for their health. It wasn’t that Lu Chenxi was stingy and didn’t want to share with her sister.

The rest of the supplies were put into Chenyue’s space. Speaking of today’s check-in rewards, they were relatively ordinary compared to before. There were no particularly valuable items. Maybe it was because they had gained so much yesterday, so today was a balance.

After completing the check-in tasks, it was time to work. Diligent ants get to eat.

Lu Chenxi took Chenyue to the vegetable patch to water the vegetables. She was surprised to find that the Chinese cabbage had already sprouted and could be picked.

So after watering, Lu Chenxi picked a large bunch of Chinese cabbage and planned to cook it for lunch to taste.

After doing all this, Lu Chenxi continued to take Chenyue fishing. The sea was calm today, but unfortunately, they didn’t see any treasure chests.

With Chenyue’s luck, they caught several fish of different varieties and a large lobster.

As it was almost noon, seeing that they probably wouldn’t have a chance to get a treasure chest today, and they had enough fish and shrimp to eat, they simply put away their fishing rods and went home to cook.

Lu Chenxi planned to make a big feast today. They had so many ingredients stored in the system space, but they either didn’t have time to cook or were too tired and didn’t feel like it.

So this time, Lu Chenxi decided to cook a lot, enough to eat for several meals. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to cook more, but the size of the pot limited her.

She and Chenyue carefully decided what they would cook for lunch. The two sisters worked together, one tending the fire and the other cooking, and they cooperated very well.
