Chapter 35:Fury Ignited
“Since you’ve already been kicked out of the company today, it’s time to start your work as a nanny,” Chen Ze said nonchalantly, as if casually commenting on the weather.
Though Wang Xiaoke was feeling frustrated, the emptiness of her wallet forced her to grit her teeth and agree, “So, what exactly will my duties be?”
“My daily care,” Chen Ze replied succinctly, not even looking up.
“What do you need me to do now?” Wang Xiaoke, irritated by his dismissive attitude, asked sharply.
Chen Ze finally lifted his head and casually gestured to the bed, “There, you should know what to do now.”
Wang Xiaoke stared at him, stunned, her face turning from red to purple with rage.
“Why are you still standing there? Go on!” he impatiently ordered.
Unable to suppress her anger anymore, Wang Xiaoke marched toward him, glaring down at him. “You scoundrel, how can you do something so shameless in broad daylight?” She nearly poked him in the forehead with her finger before slapping him hard across the face.
“What did I do? I’m a hooligan now?” Chen Ze looked completely confused.
“You told me to get on the bed—what else could you mean? Do you think I’m a three-year-old child?” Wang Xiaoke was furious and gave him a slap without hesitation.
This guy had the audacity to act clueless in front of her even at this point. What a waste of that good-looking face! Who knows how many decent women had already fallen victim to him before?
Thinking about this, Wang Xiaoke suddenly felt it was her duty to rid the hardworking women of the world of this menace.
“What’s wrong with you? Why did you slap me?” Chen Ze, caught off guard, rubbed his sore cheek, his temper flaring.
His pride hurt, he was furious now. “I say, Auntie, don’t you feel guilty saying that?”
Chen Ze’s eyes were burning with rage as he pointed at Wang Xiaoke and cursed her.
“No, someone like you wouldn’t even have a conscience—your heart is probably covered in lard.”
“Bah, no, that’s not it. Someone like you probably doesn’t even have a brain.”
He was fuming and his usual gentlemanly demeanor was nowhere to be found.
“Even if I’m brainless, I won’t blame you, but seriously, don’t you ever look in the mirror before you speak?”
“With your appearance, either I’m blind, or my taste is so bad that I foolishly thought of having something with you.”
Chen Ze raged on without pause, his words becoming a non-stop stream of insults.
“Don’t make excuses. You clearly told me to get on the bed. My ears are perfectly fine.”
Wang Xiaoke was unshaken by his harsh words; instead, she became even more determined in her rebuttal.
“Considering your lack of comprehension, it’s surprising you’ve made it this far.”
Chen Ze’s frustration reached its peak, and he felt like he was about to lose his mind.
“Shut up!” he yelled, his face turning dark with fury. “Are you trying to make sure everyone in the hospital hears this?!”
