Little Sweet Secretary
Little Sweet Secretary Chapter 10.1

Chapter 10

The heart’s behavior is not related to Shen Mi!

She doesn’t have those rebellious thoughts about Master.

She dares not have any for the big boss!

Shen Mi stopped her unfounded and inappropriate thoughts, squeezed out an unnatural smile, and pushed against Xie Rongzhuo’s chest with her hand. She couldn’t budge him.

Perhaps because they were too close, she was pressed against him, her heart beating uncontrollably, and even her voice sounded unnatural. “Boss, I’m fine.”

You can let go of me!

The hand that was around her waist lingered for a moment before slowly retracting.

Shen Mi’s waist was particularly sensitive. The unintentional movement made her feel a tingling sensation, and her body couldn’t help but tremble.

Suspecting that Xie Rongzhuo was using her clothes to wipe his hands!

She thought that after touching her, he would go wash his hands and sanitize them. But Xie Rongzhuo seemed to have forgotten about his cleanliness obsession. His long fingers pressed against his tie, his head lowered, his eyes behind the lenses were faint, unable to discern his emotions. He just stared at her unblinkingly.

Shen Mi hesitated and turned her head to look at her reflection in the mirror. She hadn’t worn heavy makeup, her face wasn’t dirty. Her lipstick shade was light, her shirt buttons were neatly buttoned to the last one, her hem was neatly tucked in, and her fishtail skirt was perfectly fitted.

She shouldn’t have offended the big boss’s picky eyes.

But Xie Rongzhuo kept staring at her lips.

Did he mean for her to continue speaking?

“Boss, could you consider it?” Shen Mi brought the conversation back to the previous topic.

Xie Rongzhuo seemed to have been lost in thought, turning his head to look at the other side of the mirror, without speaking.

He seemed to be very satisfied with the Windsor knot she had tied. He rubbed his fingertips back and forth on the tie, his eyes slightly dim.

“Can learn.”

After a few seconds, Xie Rongzhuo said, “But it can’t affect your work.”

Shen Mi’s eyes brightened. She moved a couple of steps to the side, standing next to Xie Rongzhuo, her hands folded in front of her as she leaned in respectfully. “Then can I refer to past project plans and last year’s investment proposal?”

She made an effort to negotiate positively. “I’ll look at them in the office, I promise not to leak any information, and it won’t affect the secretary’s work… Is that okay?”

“Ask Zhang Wenzhuo for them.”

“Thank you, boss!”

Having secured the project access, what was there to fear about crossing that threshold? Shen Mi felt great all morning, her spirits soaring with the extra work.

Since she was in a different department from the others and didn’t have a direct competitive relationship with her colleagues, Shen Mi got along quite well with them.

During the lunch break, Ning Xinlei walked over and slumped onto Shen Mi’s desk, looking exhausted. “Secretary Shen, how do you manage to work overtime and still be so happy?”

Shen Mi gently patted the thick stack of documents on her desk and smiled, “Enjoying work brings happiness.”

Ning Xinlei shivered slightly. “Well, I can’t find that happiness in my work.” But she was just doing miscellaneous tasks in human resources, and there was only so much room for advancement. Once a person realizes their ultimate potential, it seems easy for them to be weighed down by negative energy.

Shen Mi graduated from a prestigious university and is the only female secretary of the big boss, even having free access to his home. If she were willing to put in the effort, becoming the boss’s wife wouldn’t be impossible.

But this girl seemed completely uninterested in that direction.

Intuition told Ning Xinlei that Shen Mi hadn’t even considered attracting the boss’s attention.

She was still carrying the black leather bag she got when she first joined the company, the edges were already worn white. Even girls like to look good, and this bag wasn’t expensive, which only meant she hadn’t put any effort into her appearance.

Ning Xinlei looked at Shen Mi’s face, her waist and hips, and then at her pair of slender white legs.

She had a graceful figure, was stunningly beautiful, and had strong work capabilities. Ning Xinlei couldn’t understand what window heaven had closed for this girl.

“Shen Mi, don’t you think the boss is special to you?”

“Special?” Shen Mi was buried in her head, looking at the proposal.

Now Ning Xinlei knew which window heaven had closed for Shen Mi.

—This girl was an absolute emotional idiot.

“Of course! Think about it, the secretaries hired before couldn’t go to the boss’s house.”

“Isn’t Assistant Zhang able to?”

“I’m talking about girls.”

“You’re mistaken. It’s the secretary who likes to wear perfume, and the boss is allergic to smells. There’s no gender discrimination.”

“Anyway, I just think the boss is interested in you!” Ning Xinlei glanced at the closed CEO’s office and lowered her voice, “Why don’t you test him out? It’s foolproof!”

Shen Mi raised her head from a pile of documents, blinked her eyes, and lowered her voice with a horrified expression, “Isn’t it good to be alive?”

Ning Xinlei was stunned by the bright and charming face in front of her.

How did she manage to be both cute and excellent!

Even someone like her, a lazy fish, admired her. Maybe the boss really just admired Shen Mi’s abilities? What if he made a mistake and took her for a strategist, and the boss, in a fit of anger, demoted Shen Mi? Then, forget about clinging to his leg, she would become a sinner for all time.

“I was just kidding, don’t take it seriously.”

“I won’t.” Shen Mi shook her head and smiled.

Xie Rongzhuo even wipes his hands on her clothes when he helps her up, he’s so disgusted, and you call that special treatment?

Ning Xinlei waved her hand and went to the next room to continue gossiping.

Zhang Wenzhu and the other assistants around Xie Rongzhuo were not so idle. They were like soldiers on the battlefield, even their walk was full of wind, as if they wanted to turn into octopuses.

Shen Mi wanted to help them, but she couldn’t. Some things couldn’t be learned just by looking at them with a smart mind, they needed guidance from experienced seniors. But everyone was too busy to mentor newcomers, let alone spare time to teach her, who was “stealing knowledge and learning skills”. She could only rely on herself to pay attention and take notes, and if she didn’t understand, she would look it up and ask, and learn by herself.

Occasionally, Shen Mi would ask Zhong Xu for advice. This guy seemed unreliable, but unexpectedly, he had strong professional skills, and he was willing to teach her without reservation for Xie Rongzhuo’s sake.
