Chapter 1
One second, Jiang Zhizhi was in a bloody battle with the enemy, fighting for her country, defending the most important line of defense. Her only belief was to protect her homeland, even if it meant sacrificing her life.
The air was thick with smoke and gunpowder, heavy and light weapons firing at full speed, the deafening explosions swallowing everyone’s figures.
The next second, Jiang Zhizhi opened her eyes, and a man claiming to be six feet tall sat in front of her.
The man’s mouth was running nonstop, his tone arrogant and conceited.
“Jiang Zhizhi, right? I’m Cai Fang from the Cai family. My father is Cai Ren, the regiment commander. It’s an honor for you to be able to meet me for an arranged marriage, but I have conditions.”
“First: your parents are in a precarious situation, so you must publish a statement severing ties with them, you can’t cause trouble for the Cai family.”
The man sneered, his lips curled in a mocking smile. “Second: after we marry, you must listen to my mother. No matter what, she’s my mother.”
“Every morning, you must greet my mother and show her respect. Ignoring her is disrespectful. You must remember, if my mother wants to send something to someone, you can’t object, but you can’t take anything from our family back to your parents’ house.”
The man continued speaking in a commanding tone.
“Third: my mother says that any daughter-in-law of the Cai family must abide by the rules of a wife. As long as you are a daughter-in-law of the Cai family for a day, you must be controlled by your mother-in-law for a day.”
“Fourth: my mother wants us to have many children after we marry, and having more sons is the most important thing.”
The man’s crazy words reached Jiang Zhizhi’s ears, causing a huge wave of shock.
Jiang Zhizhi: “…”
Where is this?
Why did she encounter this disgusting thing? Is this not a historical drama?
What kind of arrogant and conceited ancient person is having a fit?
Everything is about his mother…
Go to hell!
Daily greetings? You’d think they have an imperial throne to inherit!
This family’s control over their daughter-in-law is at a level of insanity. They’ve truly spoiled a giant treasure of a son.
Jiang Zhizhi felt a little suffocated, her fists clenched. He’s six feet tall? With such a small frame, she can take on a hundred of him!
Sorry, she’s the biggest hater of arrogant and conceited mama’s boys!
Jiang Zhizhi quickly sorted through the extra memories in her mind. Sure enough, this mama’s boy is destined for misfortune. He dares to sit here and nag, relying on the fact that the Jiang family is in a difficult situation, taking advantage of their misfortune and coveting the connections they’ve built up.
Seeing Jiang Zhizhi smile, Cai Fang, sitting opposite her, thought she was almost convinced. But he didn’t know that his life was in danger.
“Bang…”
Jiang Zhizhi stood up quickly and decisively punched Cai Fang. Her movements were smooth and effortless.
Although this body was weaker than her previous one, she felt great after landing that punch!
Jiang Zhizhi smiled happily, feeling much better.
But it wasn’t over yet.
The people nearby immediately jumped up, asking with admiration and excitement, “Good punch! Where did you learn that?”
“Oww!”
Everyone heard a tragic pig-squealing sound.
“Jiang Zhizhi! You hit me?”
Cai Fang gasped in pain, covering his right eye with his hands. He felt stars swirling in his vision, unable to believe that his blind date was so fierce.
This was their first official meeting, and Cai Fang fell for Jiang Zhizhi’s appearance at first sight.
Jiang Zhizhi was absolutely a stunning beauty with both bone structure and features. Her figure was slender, her skin white as snow.
Her features were exquisite, her nose exceptionally beautiful, her red lips luscious, and her round face had a touch of baby fat, making her look youthful.
Especially those almond-shaped eyes, pure and clean, striking to the soul.
When she smiled, the whole world seemed to brighten up.
The first impression she gave was that she needed to be protected.
The second impression, when you only looked at her eyes, you inexplicably felt that she was very strong.
This contrast was indeed fascinating!
Who wouldn’t be captivated by someone like her?
But no one told him that there could be such a huge contrast!
It scared the living daylights out of him.
Cai Fang was super confident in his own conditions. The Jiang family was in such a mess, Jiang Zhizhi would definitely choose to marry.
He was the perfect choice!
Even if, for the sake of argument, Jiang Zhizhi liked being wild and free?
The hardships of going to the countryside were not something everyone could endure.
Cai Fang couldn’t imagine anyone giving up such a good arranged marriage to choose a poor and desolate place?
Crazy!
Where did this brave soul come from?
In fact, Cai Fang felt that Jiang Zhizhi was truly crazy, she actually beat him up!
Jiang Zhizhi rolled her eyes, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
“I heard that you should be friendly when meeting for an arranged marriage. This is my first time participating in an arranged marriage, and I don’t really understand this kind of thing, I have no experience. So before I came, I asked some experts, and they specifically taught me, all the dating masters teach this way. I think I learned quite well.”
“Sorry, I got a little excited. Cai, you won’t blame me, right?”
It has to be said, Jiang Zhizhi has the ability to make people die of anger without compensation.
Cai Fang: …
It’s all lies! You’re just doing this on purpose! I’m not stupid!
Cai Fang’s eyebrows were furrowed so tightly they could kill a fly, his face distorted.
But he was also someone who cared about face, even though he was beaten up, he still insisted on maintaining his pride, and he kept a pair of panda eyes on his face.
“Then what my mother said… a woman who hits people is not good… who would want to marry a beautiful tigress back home?”
It was that self-righteous tone again.
The people eating in the state-run restaurant were watching with interest.
An older woman interrupted the mama’s boy’s spell. “Young man, be more generous. She’s a petite woman, she doesn’t look like she would intentionally hit you. In my opinion, there’s only one explanation!”
“She must have accidentally hit you when she was greeting you. Oh dear, you shouldn’t be so petty, you’re a man. Besides, are you really here to meet someone for an arranged marriage today? I thought you were here to find a new partner for your mother.”
“Hahahahahaha.”
Cai Fang roared angrily at the woman, “It’s not a big deal, you can’t insult my mother.”
Jiang Zhizhi wiped her hands, her face turned black. She stopped pretending, her tone as dismissive as possible. “You’re a mama’s boy! You’re like a giant baby!
You and your mother should stay in the same house forever, a loving family! Cai Fang, being single is perfect, don’t go and ruin someone else’s life.”
“Thank you, your eight generations of ancestors, for helping me escape from this misery.”
The wheel of fate spun wildly at this moment.
He thought she couldn’t live without him!
Encountering someone like this, Jiang Zhizhi immediately developed a strong sense of self-preservation, becoming stronger in the face of adversity.
Jiang Zhizhi realized that this arranged marriage was a complete scam.
Six feet tall = five foot nine inches.
Can provide emotional value = feeding a mama’s boy lies?
Good looks = a face full of craters like the moon.
Especially his head, square like a brick.
If someone like Cai Fang can be praised for being rich and handsome, then wouldn’t her brothers in the army be gods?
The gap was too big, did he have no sense of reality?
The matchmaker’s mouth, a liar’s ghost, no conscience, right?
Jiang Zhizhi had no interest in this kind of low-life, and rather than waste her time, she’d better get down to business.
Cai Fang’s face was burning with shame, he was furious and started to curse, while lifting his head to glare at her, “I’m telling you, Jiang Zhizhi…”
But the person in front of him was gone!
Jiang Zhizhi had run away!
Especially after hearing the mama’s boy’s heart-wrenching, classic roar, “You’ll regret this,” she ran even faster!
As long as she ran fast, the disgusting thing wouldn’t catch up.
