Because of the mist in Gu Su’s beautiful eyes, he held Bo Xingye’s arm and raised his small head to stare at his brother, like a frightened little animal.

“Who bullied you?”

“Gu Su, what are you pretending to be?！Did I bully you by scolding you for a few words?”

Guo Tianxuan was so furious that her words started to become incoherent. If it weren’t for her desire to maintain her image in front of her beloved, she would have lost control and lashed out at Gu Su.

“You Scolded him?”

Bo Xingye’s slender hand grasped Gu Su’s delicate wrist, pulling him into his embrace and wrapping an arm around his waist, shielding him. He lifted his head, his gaze burning as he stared at Guo Tianxuan.

“Butler, please escort Miss Guo out and inform the security at the entrance that she is not allowed to come to the Bo residence anymore.”

Guo TianXuan was already angry because of Gu Su’s counterattack. Now, upon hearing Bo Xingye’s words, she almost lost her mind with rage. She stomped her high heels on the floor forcefully.

“Bo Xingye! I only Scolded him a little. How is that mistreating him?”

Upon hearing Guo TianXuan’s words,  Gu Su tiptoed, his hands encircling Bo Xingye’s neck. He nuzzled against him with an expression of grievance, tears on the brink of falling, softly murmuring, 

“Brother Xingye, she is really fierce, I’m scared…”

Not only was a certain little someone wasn’t afraid of Bo Xingye’s cold expression. Confirming that he didn’t show any sign of annoyance or anger, he boldly went in for a hug.

“I’m here.”

Bo Xingye had always been composed and calm, imperturbable even in the face of great pressure. Yet,now when facing Gu Su’s not-so-ambiguous closeness, his breathing suddenly became chaotic.

When facing this kind of heartbeat for the first time, Bo Xingye habitually used a cold face to hide his panic.

“Bo Xingye! If you keep treating me like this, I’ll go back and tell my father. I heard that your company has been collaborating with my father’s company recently…”

Just after the threatening words were finished, Bo Xingye lifted his head and looked at her with cold, emotionless eyes. He casually caressed his wristwatch and replied in an indifferent tone:

“Then please inform Mr. Guo, once you go back, that our cooperation is terminated.”

Not to mention that the cooperation was primarily in favor of the Bo family, as they had numerous other potential partners to choose from. It just happened that the Guo family was selected.

Even without this particular reason, Bo Xingye was not willing to let wouldn’t want Gu Su to suffer any grievances because of his work.  He was unwilling to make his wife compromise for the sake of his job, as that would be rather pointless

“Housekeeper, please see the guest out.”

“Okay, sir.”

The housekeeper stepped forward, smiling courteously at Guo Tianxuan. He whispered softly,

“Miss Guo, this way please.”

Guo Tianxuan had come here upon hearing about the cooperation between her father and Bo Xingye, but she ended up being disappointed. Seeing the nearby bodyguards, she stomped her foot in frustration, picked up her bag, and walked out.

Before leaving, she couldn’t help but glare fiercely at Gu Su. Gu Su, as if startled, shrunk into Bo Xingye’s embrace, hiding his little head securely.

Once the person was gone, Gu Su lifted his little head, gazing at Bo Xingye who was a head taller than him. He wrapped his arms around his lean waist and softly murmured in a soft, spoiled tone:

“It’s all your fault today. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have been scared. Hug me and make it all better…”
