Mr. Lu’s Flash Marriage Sweet Wife
Mr. Lu’s Flash Marriage Sweet Wife | Chapter 5

When Jian Ruyun glanced in this direction, Su Mo was startled and quickly turned her head away.

But whether she turned too quickly and pulled at her stomach or whether the pain was just meant to be stronger at that moment, a sharp pain shot through her lower abdomen, spreading throughout her body, and the world seemed to spin.

“Miss, are you alright?”

Just when Su Mo felt like she might faint right there at the bus stop, a pair of large hands supported her.

“Miss?”

Su Mo turned her head.

It was a stranger, a strange voice.

“I’m… I’m fine.” Su Mo replied, not even having the chance to clearly look at the man’s face, but from the corner of her eye, she noticed that Jian Ruyun seemed to be walking this way.

“I’m fine, thank you.”

She pulled away from the man’s grip, took a few steps forward, and her legs suddenly buckled.

The man stood still, watching her stagger a few steps before quickly moving forward to support her again.

“There’s a clinic not far ahead. Let me take you there.”

Without waiting for a response, he took her by the arm and led her to a nearby Land Rover.

Su Mo didn’t struggle anymore, partly because she had no strength left, and partly because maybe this was the best way to avoid Jian Ruyun.

Inside the car, the man didn’t speak, but he furrowed his brow as he looked at the girl next to him. She looked about twenty-two or twenty-three years old, very beautiful, but her face was almost transparent white, with beads of sweat on her forehead. He shifted his gaze and told the driver, “Hurry.”

The clinic was not far, and they arrived in no time.

The doctor was experienced and, without needing Su Mo to explain much, immediately understood the situation. She took her for an injection and handed her a cup of brown sugar water.

“How could you wear something so thin in this cold weather? Girls should take better care of themselves. If you don’t pay attention now…”

The doctor, a woman in her forties or fifties, started lecturing as soon as she saw Su Mo, and couldn’t stop. Su Mo didn’t say anything, just listened quietly. When the doctor finally stopped, Su Mo smiled and said, “Thank you, Auntie.”

After the doctor left, the man who had saved Su Mo earlier came in. He didn’t ask anything, likely having guessed what had happened, and simply said, “Are you feeling better?”

Su Mo stood up and seriously said, “Much better, thank you.”

The man nodded and said, “Rest well,” before turning and leaving the room.

As they left the clinic, the driver hurriedly opened the car door. “Yi Ge, are you still going to the opening ceremony?”

Shao Yi glanced at his watch. “Call Xiao Ying. I won’t be going.”

After a brief silence, his brows furrowed slightly. He looked back at the clinic, his brows furrowing deeply. Was it just an illusion? He had never seen this girl before, yet somehow, there was a strange sense of familiarity.

After a moment, he withdrew his gaze and closed his eyes. “Let’s head back to the company.”

Su Mo sat in the clinic, waiting for the intense pain to subside before getting up and heading outside.

As soon as she stepped out the door, her phone rang. It was another unknown number. She frowned but eventually answered.

“Liu Xiaoxiao! Was that person just now you?”

Su Mo furrowed her brows but didn’t respond.

The other side didn’t seem to wait for a response, continuing with the next sentence. “I knew it was you. You shameless fox spirit, did you switch targets after failing to seduce Ziye? I advise you to stop daydreaming. How could someone from the Shao family…”

Before the other person could finish, Su Mo directly hung up the phone and, not waiting for another call, immediately blacklisted the number.

Her fingers tightened around the phone, turning white, and after a while, she finally relaxed her grip a little. But then, her brows furrowed again. The Shao family?

7 PM

After lying in bed at home, barely alive, Su Mo finally came back to life in the evening.

By the time she arrived at Moonlight, Ma Wenlong and the others had already arrived.

Today, Ye Lanshan wasn’t on duty, so Su Mo headed straight to the private room where Ma Wenlong and the others were.

As she passed by another private room, she couldn’t help but look back a couple of times.

According to Ye Lanshan, that room was the largest in Moonlight, kept reserved for a few young masters from the capital. Ye Lanshan had come to Moonlight frequently, but she had never seen anyone in that room. At least, in the past month since she returned, that room had been empty.

But today, there was a whole row of waitstaff standing at the door, at least twenty people.

Su Mo couldn’t help but take a second look before entering the adjacent room.

Inside, the atmosphere was already lively.

Ma Wenlong was surrounded by a dozen young girls, all fawning over him, making him look like a nouveau riche visiting a brothel.

Su Mo didn’t move toward them. After sitting down, she didn’t touch the beer on the table but instead took out her phone to chat with Wei Ke’er and Ye Lanshan.

When she looked up again, the conversation had shifted to the events at the opening ceremony earlier that day.

These girls, according to Ma Wenlong, were all looking for opportunities to rise up. Even if they couldn’t become a phoenix, they could find a wealthy benefactor and stop running around all the time.

So, when they saw the young masters of the capital’s aristocratic families, it was no surprise they got excited. Back at the Lu family banquet, they couldn’t just walk around freely, but today was different.

At an opening ceremony, after the performance, people could still move around and mingle.

So, tonight’s discussion was unusually lively. However, amidst all the excitement, one person seemed to stand out as somewhat out of place—Yu Chuxin.

Su Mo looked over at her a couple of times and felt she seemed distracted, almost as if she was in a deep slump. From what the girls were saying, Shao Yi hadn’t attended the opening ceremony. Was that why Yu Chuxin seemed so down?

As she was thinking, a girl suddenly exclaimed, “Whoa, Sister Mo, who’s this man? He’s so handsome!”

Su Mo turned to look at the girl, who was staring at her with surprise.

“What man?” Su Mo asked, confused. Before she could get an answer, she saw Yu Chuxin, who had been downcast, suddenly glance over at her.

Her gaze was full of obvious hostility!
